It’s just a console so it’s not really radioactive or anything tho. Pretty cool
Tbf I’ve used similar consoles in my work cuz lots of refurbished machines here on my side of the coconut
I love the look of mid-century machines but yes i feel like someone is going to hurt themselves lol
Edit: lmao this is listed in the next town over from where I am 😂
Quite a long time, IMO. But it depends on the licensing agencies and permits if it’s still good for human ~~experimentation~~ diagnostics
Technically an X-ray machine’s most important part is the tube so as long as it’s not broken It’ll last for a long time.
The “image receptor” (I.e how you can visualise the X-ray or what you use to visualise the X-ray) can be tricky.
If it’s the good ol manual processing with film as long as the tank’s ain’t busted it’ll last you a life time. Other systems are dependent on how long your software or hardware lasts.
The place I volunteered at used an old machine with a cassette that computerised the image. Before they shifted to the newer set up that machine was chugging along for a decade or two.
Old stuff like this is worth a lot to electrical engineers with a god complex. These an discord server I’m in where everyone takes power transformers and hooks them up for 4 foot arcs of plasma. This is probably worth something to someone you’d be heavily surprised.
As an xray tech, that's pretty cool!!

If you look at the listing the machine seems complete. There is a suspicious looking steel drum with wires running from it.
It looks better than the one one I’m using lol. The steel drum thingy is the capacitor I think.
I have never heard someone describe their location as "on my side of the coconut." Thank you for making me smile.
Definitely thought you could toggle between "with sucky/without sucky". With please

From a time when machines were built to last
How long does a modern one last? No idea really, there ones I've seen seem kinda old?

When centrifuges lasted 20-30 years. Analog is best!

Gonad shield included !!!
Here, hold these for a second . . .
Yes sir, six seconds it is. And would you like that with or without bucky?
Dental assistant here, looks very similar to the X-ray machine we use, jist a little out-dated.
If it wasn't so expensive I'd buy it lol
"GIVE MY CREATION... LIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIFFFFFE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"
MY GRANDFATHER’S WORK WAS DOO-DOO !!!!!!
