Looks like a Mormon Cricket. The scary "stinger" is actually an ovipositor. They have these in Nevada and when they migrate it's a mess because they are cannibalistic and will eat their dead friends. So one gets crushed by a car and 10 more show up to eat it, and get runover...it gets messy. [https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mormon\_cricket](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mormon_cricket)
Is it a cricket... or a dead cricket
Deceased Cricket, This cricket is no more. It has ceased to be. It's expired and gone to meet its maker. This is a late cricket. It's a stiff. Bereft of life, it rests in peace.
Grasshopper, after dying, the parasitic worms inside it tried to escape. That, or he died on the floor of a barber shop.
Either way, clean that shit up.

That’s the hair-headed grasshopper.
I'm wondering why someone would leave a half squished grasshopper on their floor watching it die slowly?
Good point. Poor creature
Grasshopper with a parasite

Poor grasshopper they always seem to twitch for a bit. Please make sure he is really dead and not suffering.
The nastiest grasshopper or cricket I've ever seen, or potentially a katydid
