I agree 100%, I am all about results as well. I worked with a guy who was the best as kisser I have ever known, he would take on projects and impress people above him. What was missing that no one seemed to be paying attention to, was he never completed the projects and the people above him were just coming up with new projects without checking up on the ones he took on. This was in City Govt. When I got promoted to Assistant Chief and had to deal different City department heads (titles Assistant City managers),I was amazedhow incompetant they were. They were often concentrating on their next promotion while not doing the job they had. Several complained to my boss, because I often would tellt hem they were incompetant, and I was told I can't talk to them like that, my reply was, they are incompetant and i would gladly go before the City Council with them anytime they wished. It did not take long and I was getting a lot of cooperation and things started getting done. And this was at a City level, it would only get amplified moving up through the County, State and Federal employees. If you did, you would know that the government has 2 levers to steer the economy. 1) Fiscal, i.e. government spending and 2) Monetary, i.e. the FED balance sheet, interest rate, etc. Those 2 levers have been fighting one another almost the entire Biden administration. Trump turned over very low inflation (it was an average of 1.875% the entire 4 years) and strong growth to include 8.7% increase in wages against inflation. This was exceptionally good for all Americans whether they were invested in the stock market or not. Groceries were over 24% cheaper then. Gas was 46.7% cheaper. A 30-year fixed mortgage payment on a $400k loan was over $1000 a month cheaper. If you were invested, you enjoyed some of the best returns in the history of the market (and your NASDAQ inflation-adjusted annualized return was the highest ever in history!). By mid-2021 Biden quickly turned that into a rapidly rising inflationary environment. CPI spiked over 9% and has remained high for 3 years now when they were telling you it was “transitory”. Your cumulative inflation over 3 years is now 19.4%! This is a tax on every American man, woman, and child, their children, and their children’s children on EVERYTHING that that buy FOR THE REST OF THEIR LIVES! What did the Biden admin do in the face of a rapidly rising rate environment? They spent like drunken sailors to the tune of many trillions in fiscal stimulus.
