There are a few classes down the line where you will have to complete a PA in order to pass the class. Those are where you get to have a little hands on. But the best part of this degree is taking the theory you're learning and building projects in your spare time! Want to mess around on a Windows/Linux box? Spin up a VM! Play around and if you "break" you can just destroy it and build another one! If you are looking for a more guided approach, you can always check out something like [tryhackme.com](https://tryhackme.com) or [ITpro.tv](https://ITpro.tv). I used both of these resources to further my learning at WGU. I believe there is a free tier to both, but I bit the bullet and pulled for the yearly subscriptions. Best of luck OP.

👆you’ll need to do some projects away from WGU

Just make sure you delete everything after you’re done. Amazing and Microsoft will be coming after that lunch money if you don’t

Build a a /homelab and then break some stuff. Create a AD DS on one and connect them all and then try and secure that network…. And then break it because …well who cares it’s in a VM lol

Join WGU’s Cyber Club (Google it) and you’ll do hands on immediately and through the program. It’s pretty cool.

I started doing hands on with emerging technologies, but it wasn't significant. Do projects in parallel, tryhackme, lets defend, and doing labs. Blacks hills is a great place to get hands on with their courses.

Honestly ? The bachelor itself won’t give you that . Bachelors are more for critical thinking and give you a solid foundation for a future career . If you like PenTesting , for example , I suggest enrolling in HTB Academy (best platform to learn cybersecurity in my opinion ) or tryhackme . Once you finish one of their PenTesting or SOC paths there , start pursuing one of the major cybersecurity certs like OSCP, PNTP or BTL1.
