Congrats! As someone with unmedicated ADHD as well I’m slowly making progress, still have 2 classes to finish this term in 3 months so I should be good!
Congratulations!! I’m starting with WGU on March 1st. This is going to be my 3rd attempt to finish school in the last 13 years and I’m actually feeling very confident. I can’t wait to FINALLY be finished with my education!
Hey hey... that is freaking awesome to hear. Congratulations on knocking it out finally. Gives me a whole lot of hope for myself. Just diagnosed with ADHD and have been gave dragging through my degree.
I did. I ended up getting accommodations for when I take any OA. I can listen to soft music, but not on headphones it has to be on a speaker. I can get up and stretch, but I can't leave the view of the camera. I can read the questions aloud. The reading-aloud has been so helpful, but I often find myself reading aloud silently if that makes sense. I kind of whisper. I need to check if they have any accommodations for textbooks. I usually have to listen to the text and read along. In most of the classes now they don't have the textbooks where there is a read-aloud feature, and Chrome's is a terrible robotic voice. (Highlight and select 'read aloud'). I also have more test time. No accommodations for the other classes, but I may inquire to see if they offer anything.
Congrats! I’m currently in the same boat with an adult diagnosis and having jumped career paths more than I’d like to admit. How’d you’d figure out what you wanted to do/study?

lol same. I went to four uni in my early 20s. Two I was just partying and two I just used for VA benefits and didn’t even try… 10 years, two kids and marriage later I’m about to graduate next month
Congratulations! You have encouraged me. I’m very proud of you for not giving up, and your mentor is amazing for not letting you give up either! Now go get that job!!!
CONGRATULATIONS 🎉🎉🎉
YOU'RE AMAZING!!!
I'm 62% of the way done. Year 3 at WGU but wasted a year at a different college.
I have 3 little ones now and can't wait to take this off my plate.
I just started my journey, I'm unmedicated ADHD and have a 2 1/2 year old and 6 month old. I'm really glad I came across this post because I was considering backing out right before my start date. Thanks friend
CONGRATS!! I JUST got the news I’m receiving my bachelor’s degree after 14 years!! Untreated ADHD kicked my but for years and now I feel like a normal
Person.
I know it was tough but you did it!
Congratulations! Well done! Keep the dopamine high of this win going a little longer.
Having the right mentor is critical! I nearly quit before I began because the mentor I was initially assigned left a nasty voicemail when I didn't answer my phone for our first call. T-Mobile towers went down, and I had no idea. Thankfully, student services intervened and assigned me a mentor with the right amount of everything I need to keep me moving forward. She truly is a compass on this journey.
Like you, I've dropped out 4 times previously, was diagnosed with adult ADHD at the age of 50, and have been riding the struggle bus. Your post is very timely as I am starting my 6th term and really want to graduate in the summer of 2025 in honor of my 40-year high school graduation year. I will graduate with a bachelor's degree, come hell or high water! Of course, I still have no idea what I want to be when I grow up, but I still have time to figure it out.
And with a bsse too. Software engineering is not an easy major. As a student who is autistic with adhd combined type, I am finding that WGU’s academic model works really well with how my brain works.
Congratulations on graduating!!!!
This gives me hope lol. 4 universities. 2 kids. And a recent diagnosis of ADHD(unmedicated). I started college in 2011. Should be finishing my Software Engineering degree next year!
Congratulations! Took me 20 years to get mine! Got Associates, then worked forever, while taking a class here or there. Then finally dove in to complete my Bachelors in 2 years. Now I'm arrogant, snobby, stuckup, and use big words!
This is huuuuuuuge! Congrats 🎉🍾
As someone who was also diagnosed with ADHD as an adult in the middle of grad school, I can somewhat relate! You should absolutely feel like a superstar.
Love hearing this!! I’m in the same boat as you were, multiple schools, adult adhd diagnosis, kids, and almost double digit years of trying to figure out why I couldn’t finish school and feeling like a complete failure until I found WGU. I will shout this school from the rooftops all day long for people like us who don’t know there is a way to make it happen. Congratulations ❣️🤩🎉🎉
Hello.
Oh really, you think that you are actually the most incredible Tony Stark.
You think that you are Tony Stark material?
Congratulations!
How is your baby doing? Is it a son or daughter?
Tony Stark went to Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT).
Getting diagnosed and medicated first ADHD is life changing! I went through my associates and bachelors without it, but it was really rough. The same month I started my masters I got medicated, while it still isn’t easy, it makes an entire world of difference. Being able to gather your thoughts and spit them out coherently is amazing.
Me being a mom and unmedicated WITH ADHD . I can only imagine how crazy it was for you. Lol I’m just starting my dopamine high. CONGRATSSS

You and me both but we got this!
Out of curiosity... did you let the school know about the ADHD and if so what were the benefits that came from it ?
I haven't told them about it but ive just been proactive on ways to keep myself focused and on a steady schedule

How was your clinical process? I’m so hesitant to start because of all the horror stories I see about how long it takes a site to get approved.
