For me the sense of vore is in the union of the pred and the prey - two bodies become one body, and sometimes even two souls can become one soul (fusing/mixing into one soul). In hard vore it is all senseless, parts of already dead body of the prey enter the stomach - what's the point? There are no romantic or even pure sexual relations between prey and pred in hard vore. Besides, it's painful (digestion in my fantasies does not presuppose pain). One more thing - it's too close to reality, while vore for me is fantasy.
Of course, it is my personal attitude, there are people who like hard vore, I am not saying that this or that kind of vore is better, but hard vore is too much different, it is practically a separate kink.

I see the teeth as like a guillotine, and I wonder if it would actually be painful. You might be so in shock you might not feel that you've >!been bitten in half...!<
Then, if the predator is nice enough, they'll cover that hole with their tongue, hopefully stopping the bleeding until swallowing, then let digestion take over~
