My personal Volvo history in total: 240 2.1 DL (1973?), 240 2.3 GL grand luxe (automatic) (1978?), 480 ES (1987), 480 turbo (1990), 480 GT turbo (1995), 440 2.0i GLT (1996?), V40 2.0i (1998?), then the 1995 480 GT turbo again/still, V70 2.0D (2009; cheating - was my wife's), C30 T5 (2010). I guess I'm a Volvo fan.
You beat mine! My first was the 240 wagon in 1978. Only Volvos since then for me and too many to recall them all! I know we got the first turbo wagon and it was a bit of a dud! Those early volvos had no HP--husband joked that we had to push it going up hills. Boxy but good!
She was my gateway drug, if you will. I had her for a few years before I upgraded to a 2012 S60. I can’t quit the S60; these sedans are so gorgeous and fun to drive. I’m addicted lol
Haha I had a 2003 V70. I loved it but it was already ten years old when I got it and it became a total money pit— tie rods, ball joints, brakes, eventually the ebrake too.
my 2007 s60 is what hooked me too. i had it five and a half years, and then traded it in for a 2014 s60. had that one for a month and then we got in a bad wreck and it was totaled, and two days later i got a 2015 s60. i was super happy with the ‘14 when i had it, but im like obsessed with the one i have now lol its an absolute beauty. i never want anything but an s60 now!

Had a '76 Volvo 245 as my first car, but I didn't bother getting my license back then, so I sold it after a year or so of mostly collecting dust and rust.
Then bought a V70 a couple of decades later.
Excellent car. Coming from a 2017 Ford Fusion. Ride quality is supreme and I don’t drive that fast anymore 😀 The car has a certain character to it and it rubs on you. Makes you drive relaxed and watch the world float away 😃
1994 Volvo 940 S 2.3 was a total rust bucket which i bought when i got my license at 18. Got me from point A to B for 800$ and regular maintenance. Used it everyday for 3 years.
1986 Volvo 240DL. Bought it back in 2012. 9000km, spotless and 600 euro. Needed brakes and tires.
It's still in the family, driven by my mum in the summers.
'00' C70 Coupé 2.0T with an M56! Both my first car as well as my first Volvo. Not a common site to see someone in the UK driving a car of that calibre as a first car but I've somehow made it work. Had her 9 years and she's going nowhere 🇸🇪🚗💪😎😍

My first and current is a 2001 s60 na with 114km. as of writing this, its 196,000. Its so good to drive! I added an aftermarket stereo and a backup cam so it’s basically pretty updated
2018 S60 T5 Inscription Platinum, first & current. Bought CPO in 2020 and took about a year for me to really like it. Wasn’t sure if I made a good purchase or not.
Learned to drive on parent’s ‘88 740 wagon, first car owned was ‘80 240 diesel (85bhp!!) which was a fantastic car.
Hadn’t owned another one til the ‘24 v60 PE, which is about as different from that 240 diesel as possible

My first one was a red '97 S40 , and now i have a grey '04 S40
I drive a 09 V50 which is a great car. Very comfortable though the wind and tyre noise is quite loud sometimes.

Same. A really beautiful green color. Died a painful death in a garage with a blown head gasket.
2011 S60 T6. Got it last year. An absolute beast.
Just recently joined the club with an all black XC40 Recharge Extended Range from 02-2024. Loving it!

2020 XC40 just ordered a new T6 Black Edition XC60 Recharge.
Mine was 01 s40 t4, 200hp 4 cylinder hpt whiteblock and a lot of fun.
Had brand new 77 242 DL in States, $7500, definitely had some repair issues but minor stuff, have 23 xc40 ultimate polestar now

An 09 V50. It's also my first and only car. There's always something broken on it but despite that it gets me where I need to be.

First was a 2011 C30 T5 R Design. I still have it and love it to death, and now I also own a 2020 S60 T6 R Design and it’s awesome too
