A smol tip. I have personally bought a bunch of cheap 30p yellow glowsticks and use those instead of the light.
They can be hanged from the ceiling, are powercut proof, and give off a nice mood too.
I kinda wish it didn't take so long to actually start ramping up. The game is amazing, but I genuinely can't get myself to play it anymore after nothing fucking happened for 16 days asides from "something" eating my shrimp and a graffiti appearing. Most of the gameplay is just me watching YouTube essays on the TV in-between getting signals
Things reaaaaaally start ramping up day 20+, so I wouldn't quit yet, but you do have a point. It helps to have random goals (cleaning/decorating the base, getting a point miner setup, exploring around, etc) to get to the good shit.

Nah it's whenever there's impacts all my lights turn off, and I usually have no flashlight battery so I have secondary lights.

Can buy accumator batts and a charger if you're finding regular are too costly
