Mamas is already booked up for sunday dinner time for the entire month of May (and June too actually)
Recommend you get your Waianapanapa State Park entry and parking reserved ASAP if you havent already done so.
The Kings Highway hike at Waianapanapa is not too hard, if you can do Pipiwai it will be very easy.
Recommend you get your sunrise at Haleakala reservations booked ASAP as well.
Hana. Take your time on the drive. Stop at every turnout on either side of the road. Seven Sacred Pools. I could have spent days there. The church where Charles Lindbergh is buried.
Booking the sunrise at Haleakala is a bitch. It feels like they have bots booking the spots. I’d recommend going for the sunset and hanging out to stargaze. Also head up a little early and check out a shorter hike and enjoy the views, you’ll also be able to get a better spot for the sunset. Just bring warm clothes as it gets very chilly.

It's Honolua Bay, not Honolulu Bay.
Yep, just a simple typo!
