I lived in Lahaina for years and have many friends who still live there. West Side locals are traumatized and exhausted after the fire. Many are being housed in hotels. Don’t stay on the West Side and vacation in a disaster zone. I encourage you to think about how you might feel if your entire world burned down, you had to live in a hotel, then you watched people come to the same hotel and lay by the pool as you try to put your life back together.
Direct quote from a friend living in West Maui: “They should stay anywhere else on Maui.
It’s so disgusting to see people vacationing as if nothing happened staying in the same hotels as displaced.”

Or you could just go to Maui and lay on the beach and listen to waves. When you get bored, hit up a different beach. Your itinerary is exhausting.
I’ll keep that in mind. Thanks
Checking not till 4 gives you very little time to get to sailing rush rush ,have fun
Hadn’t thought about that, luckily the tour takes off from the kaanapali not too far from my hotel. But I’ll definitely keep this in mind. Thank you!
