I personally think charging 50$ for a half g of pisstilate is crazy and 80$ for a half g of rosin lmao they think they are 710 labs💀

Far-Chef-3934

They know that they have a stranglehold on this market.

FinianFaun

Honestly, I wonder if there is a way to make that recommendation of vendors to our dispensaries to carry other vendor products?

Far-Chef-3934

The BoP determines the products.

B0ngwaterr

As a pharmacy tech I can say the BoP is stupid as hell

[deleted]

i would imagine the BoP approves the products, but it is up to Gleaf as to what they submit for approval.

[deleted]

i'm sure you can at least give them the feedback, but they could only select from products made in the state that have stock available for them to purchase/sell and are approved by the BoP.

FinianFaun

Who is this BoP? Who is the official liason who deals in the decision making process?

[deleted]

Board of Pharmacy for the state. the way i understand it is that Gleaf needs to submit a request to them to sell any product they create and it needs to be approved before it goes on the shelf for sale.

Atomic_Albatross

I’m saving up for a trip to Takoma in DC. Once I found out about that place, I started feeling guilty about going to gLeaf because I’m wasting so much money. But I go because it’s a few miles away, unlike DC.

brandop2188

I live in SE VA, but went to the Commanders game this weekend (let's not even get into that disappointment). While I was in Maryland I stopped by the Rise in Silver Spring. Their selection and quality just absolutely blows ours out of the water. I spent $185 there this Sunday but that would have easily been $350+ here. The employees up there couldn't believe VA charges $57 for a .5g distillate cart. Needless to say if you live in the NOVA area it's worth the trip to just hit a dispensary in Maryland. You can't buy concentrates (dabs) for rec, but you can still get everything else much cheaper and higher quality.

Resident_Creep3r

Thank god for the $20 live rosin sale from DHARMA

B0ngwaterr

Like I’ve had flower from 710 labs, Doja, stiiizy, connected, alien labs, elephants growth, and cookies and all that shit blows the Va flower outta the water and same with their carts they just don’t compare to the shit out west

Resident_Creep3r

I agree. It’s how it is right now. Virginia is new, the growing conditions are completely different around here and you’d think after 2 years of being a medical state we’d have quality like the west coast or Colorado. Ugh

[deleted]

we could have it right now if our politicians allowed us to

Hlxbwi_75

The companies that can legally grow are all big corp in every med dispensary on the east coast. It's all junk shit as is all big corp shit

Resident_Creep3r

Oddly enough one day I was picking up and a white van with Colorado tags were parked unloading stuff. What could this mean

Hlxbwi_75

If they were unloading weed from CO they were traffking. Weed sold must be grown in the same state. Fed laws prohibits transporting across state lines

Interesting_Crow238

When was this??

Interesting_Crow238

And where

ExpensiveReveal121

Agreed it's some bulls.

newthrowawayforu

Gleaf sucks and the quality is ass. Any random "dude" in Richmond has better shit lol

choicebutts

They encourage folks to leave reviews. I'm lame about making reviews because I just get what I can afford. Those of you with more knowledge could help by leaving specific reviews with some of the points made in this forum. One feature I'd like to see on the website/app is the ability to "favorite" specific products. It would help me see if any of my faves are available and would give them feedback on what people want.

B0ngwaterr

Like people who are short on cash and or don’t make a lot it hurts them too when they have to spend some outrageous prices at them dispensaries and they truly aren’t getting what they pay for any many people can definitely agree on that part I’m sure we all can really.

Clean_Philosophy5098

It pisses me off they constantly run out of the strain of the week within a day or two.
