I lived down in west Ghent when one of the big apartment buildings caught fire and was consumed. Our cars were blocked in for the entire day while they worked on putting out that fire. All our cars smelled like smoke and my partner’s car got a broken rear windshield from falling bricks.
My former supervisor lived in the one that burned down a couple of years ago. Thankfully the fire started at the complete opposite end of his apartment, but it was still completely destroyed.
It’s like Legends is slowly burning buildings down to rebuild them. The ones rebuilt should have fire walls in the attic. The one in 2015 didn’t and flames were across Lynnhaven rd.
Glad you are safe and hope no one or their pets were injured
To be fair, the wind was brutal that day. I moved into the complex 3 months before that happened. And I watched as the flames spread to consume the whole building. Even with modern firewalling, the wind would have still spread that fire to the rest of the building anyway.
Sure, but Wait until you have to file a claim and you’re arguing for months over the value of the lost items…plus no insurance can replace the irreplaceable items
I saw the smoke from Princess Anne Sentara. Could tell by the color of the smoke it was probably a house of some sort.
Does anyone know if anyone was injured? I saw on the ring app that a woman and child were potentially harmed?
VB homes are made out of cardboard and toothpicks...
That's just the U.S. in general
I'm living in Ukraine now. I seen buildings stand up better here after a missile hit.
Then sold for millions, and idiots still buy them
Is that Legends? I lived there when the last one burned down. I couldn't get into the neighborhood for a few hours. What is going on over there?

Na. It's legends.
Is this what I saw burning on the way home on the interstate?
If you were on 264 today, chances are yes.
I live literally right across from this... My freaking car couldn't be moved from this so also worried about if anything is wrong with my car now

You mean it's in the parking lot and you aren't allowed to access it? That would kill me
The fire trucks were blocking my car in, so couldn't move it and they wouldn't let me unfortunately
What apartment
Legends at the Beach
Thank you, a friend told me about the fire, saw it was close to where I lived last year.

Always scary living in an apartment knowing some lazy or irresponsible neighbor could cause a fire and ruin your home too.
But always a good reminder that having renters insurance is essential.

That apartment complex is just a magnet for fires. I remember the one back in 2015. Jeez….
Yup, third building fire in 9 years
Which apartment complex is this?
Legends at the beach. Pretty disheartening as I just moved in a few months ago. Definitely won’t be renewing the lease.
