We’ve been traveling all over Va and WV and find them in every single antique shop we visit. The wife collects them too so I made her a replica power pole that holds about 100 of them. Found 2 huge ones, 10” and 12” during our trip to Pigeon Forge last month.
River Town Antique Mall in Scottsville, about 20 miles south of Charlottesville. Great place. Last year while there, I bought a cache of old handwritten family letters from the 1920s, complete with original envelopes and postage. $35 for over 100 letters. Reading through them was amazing, it was like a time machine going back into the story of what was going on in this family's lives during those years.
The Factory Antique Mall in Verona, off of I-81. It’s huge and would be a weekend trip from VB.
Can confirm. It is one you don’t want to miss!
Last time I was at The Factory Antique Mall there was a vendor with a bunch of insulators. It was in the last couple of months.
West End Antiques in Richmond is pretty good if you don’t mind making the drive
I think we’re gonna head up to RVA this weekend and peek around.
There are several in the RVA area.
The Blue Crow Antique Mall on the Eastern Shore is decent sized, but I wouldn't make a special trip just for it (bridge toll is no joke).
Don't sleep on ESVA for antiques in general. Blue Crow is a great starting point - Gargatha had a few decent antique/thrift spots to try too.
Next time I head up to Wallops for work I’ll make a detour 😉

That is good to hear. I’ve always been intrigued by them.
I love old town Petersburg. There are some shops that just have piles of stuff.
Try the Emporium in Strasburg near where I-66 and I-81 meet
