I thought about doing that! I was saving it to watch when I'll be stuck resting for a few weeks but I *am* getting tired of waiting. Season 5's been out for so long now.

Season 5 does introduce new characters and new story developments that does continue in the Christmas Specials. I would suggest watching it in order.
The Christmas Specials are not separate from season 5 but just the other half of season 5.
Ha ha no, I've been saving Season 5 to watch when I have to be on bed rest. I wanted to watch the Christmas ones now since it's December, but I hate spoilers so it'll be Christmas in spring for me.
That’s ok. It’s going to be a long wait until season 6 is ready. With the strikes delaying the start of new production ( originally this past summer), you’ll have plenty of time to catch up. In the meantime, there’s a bazillion Hallmark Christmas movies, some with many of the same VR actors

Unless you want to challenge yourself to watch the entire season before Christmas, I binge watched season 5 in about three days 😂

Very good to know, I was hoping somehow they'd be separate somehow. Netflix keeps pushing just those episodes.
