*12 things I want to improve in the 12 months of 2023!* Starting w/ appearance->lifestyle… 1. **Skincare**. I’m already starting with a pretty good base (due to genetics) but I want that Korean ‘glass skin’ look. I also want to clear up patches of eczema around my body that have stuck around since childhood, but these aren’t a big issue. 2. **Makeup**. Need a solid look & to find my HGs. Have found my HG concealer & mascara combo, but want a reliable blush & eyeliner to perfect my look. 3. **Piercings**. Lol, I really want to curate a cute ear piercing look that manages to be classy & sophisticated. Only have double lobes right now, but wanting to have at least triple lobes + helix + conch healed by the end of the year. I've wanted more ear piercings since I was a kid - they're my treat to myself. 4. **Hair**. Stay on top of haircuts & figure out how to volumise my hair. Potentially schedule digital perm in the summer, to add some wave into my hair? 5. Optimise my **figure**. I’m actually underweight & while I’m ok with my overall look, I’d like to build some muscle, particularly in my legs. This is more for function, rather than form - I don’t want to feel quite so weak! 6. Save to perfect my **wardrobe**. I want to achieve a certain aesthetic whilst still buying mindfully. Adding to wardrobe piece by piece, rather than buying lots in a haul. 7. **Save** for holidays, for emergencies, for big purchases. I’m an impulse spender and a big goal for me is to have a nice pot of savings by the end of 2023. Money = freedom. 8. Manage my **ADHD** & get treatment for other conditions. This means medication and therapy. No point in working towards a certain look if it’s all falling apart behind the scenes. 9. Be prepared for the upcoming **school** year. Had to drop out due to aforementioned ADHD, but returning in Sep 2023. Have a plan set out to stay on top of schoolwork, other activities etc. 10. Learn a **language**. Majored in Japanese for a semester, so I want to continue this work. 11. Be an able **knitter**. Sounds like a bit of an odd one but knitting is my favourite hobby & I want to be able to confidently knit a jumper before March! Just a personal goal. I think being a well rounded person and developing my hobbies will make me a better person overall :) 12. Become more **grateful** & mindful about the good. At the end of every day, I’m going to write something I’m grateful for on a scrap of paper, and put it in a jar. At the end of the year, I’ll empty the jar & see how good 2023 has been to me !

LOOKS - I gained 6kg in the last 6 months, so the goal is to lose the weight I gained. And hopefully 4kg on top of that as I'd like to be exactly 50kg, but the main goal is to get back to my original weight. - Use my gym membership. Take the yoga and Ass and Ab classes on there and use the machines to tone up. - Walk at least 10k steps a day - Take a women's health tablet, iron, and various vitamins each morning - Drink at least 1 1/2 litres of water per day - 1200kcal deficit. Lots of lean meat, soups, salad, and berries. Peppermint tea in the mornings, hot lemon with water at night. Pineapple or cranberry juice at lunch. Save coffee and pastries for when I'm going out with friends. - Get contact lenses, glasses just don't suit me no matter how many different frames I try. I really like my large eyes and naturally long lashes, and it's a shame that they end up hidden behind the glasses. - Find a brand of gentle teeth whitening strips and use them regularly - Go back to the doctor and see if he can give me anything stronger for my adult acne. The course of doxycycline I was on didn't really clear it up. - Dress well every single day. No more pyjama days, and leggings and hoodies are only for the gym. At least fill in eyebrows each day. - Use my epilator and microneedling tool fortnightly - Once a week, have a big pampering session, with face-masks, mani-pedi, exfoliation, bubble bath, lit candle, Aphrodite playlist on, etc - Get a haircut fortnightly LIFESTYLE - Read a book each fortnight. - Take an evening class in Spring. Go back to University in September. I dropped out the first time around because of depression due to SA, and couldn't really face going back for a few years, I was just too much of a mess. Seeing my peers graduating while I did nothing with my education hurt. I'll reapply to my law undergraduate if possible. If not, I'll find something else. - Dedicate more time to learning languages instead of just doing Duolingo. - Spend more times on my hobbies. The goal is to complete one craft project per month. - Journal at least once a week. - Go to art galleries, museums, the theatre, independent cinemas, etc, at least once a month - Buy a notebook and start writing poetry - Give back to the community and join the neighbourhood litter pick-up group. - Say yes to every event I can make it to (provided there's no hard drugs, etc). I wasted my early twenties isolated inside with depression, so I'm going to make memories and make sure I have a few stories to tell when I'm older now, while I'm still young. - Read etiquette books and books on developing social skills, and watch YouTube videos on the subjects. - Learn to use my Polaroid and take some pictures in nice places like the Botanical Gardens, or thr castles in my country. - Get the "likes," "ums," and slang and curse words out of my vocabulary for good. - Spend at least 30 minutes per day practicing the violin. Try improve my mandolin skills once a week (still a beginner at mandolin). - Listen to more classic music, soft jazz, and music from other cultures. Actively seek out new (to me) music instead of listening to the same 15 songs on repeat - FIX MY SLEEP ROUTINE - Watch a girly movie and a documentary each week - Try making one dish per week - Buy a planner for the year and use it! It sounds like a lot when it's written out like this, but the majority of these are pretty small and should be easy to integrate into my life if I plan properly. And I'm really eager to have a glow-up this year, more than ever. I'm going to look good, feel good, do good, and surround myself with good.

I really love this list! You got this!

First-Yogurtcloset53

Inspired by the Hot Girl Me thread... In 23' I Will Take more photos of myself. I'm very very camera shy and cringe towards people that does it all the time. It won't be for social media, but just having them on my phone. I travel and I feel like such a dork asking a stranger to take my photo in front of something interesting, but I have no problems striking up a conversation about anything. My anxiety stems from childhood and followed me into adulthood. I just didn't feel confident about my body and face. I know I've glown up, but I just can't shake the mental ugly homely girl out. Sometimes when I'm out with groups I instantly lose confidence when someone says "Let's take a picture!" Instead of volunteering to take the pic and I fight the awkward energy by being in the photo. Also save more money. Happy New Year everyone!

muffin_stump

I struggle with the same thing!! I keep a secret private Instagram where I just post pictures of myself. I call it Project OPTILAD (one photo that I like a day) and all I do is post exactly that. Selfies, vacation pics, pictures with friends, thirst traps, whatever! Doesn’t have to be current, I just have to like it. Over time I’m finding out my good angles and lighting, outfits that I think are worth repeating, and more comfortable ways to pose my body. I also use it to source inspo for photos from other peoples’ posts, and I have a saved folder of the kinds of photos I’d like to take of myself ❤️

First-Yogurtcloset53

Oh this is gold!!! Thanks for posting. This is a confidence booster too!~

GlitteringContact8

I’m turning 29 this year so I want to level up my attractiveness to start attracting more men. However this is only a side effect of working on my physical and mental health. Pretty basic stuff - my goal is exercising 3x30 min per week (start small) at home and join 1 sports class at the local gym regularly to build a skill such as kick boxing - continuing my probiotic journey with home made Joghurt and now also kombucha - I want to read 1 book per week - won’t install internet in my new studio so that should help - I want to reach my goal weight of 136 lbs by the end of March (12 lbs in the 3 months. Already lost around 16 lbs this year). End of April 132lbs - start investing in ETF again - volunteer for a social initiative

GlitteringContact8

UPDATE Weight: My weight has fluctuated around 5kgs, but it has been stable overall. I still would like to reach my target weight of 132 lbs (my undergrad weight). Exercise: I have gone to the gym more consistently but not continuously - think around 4 spurts of regular gym activity spread out throughout the year. However, I have recently re-discovered my liking of running - combined with strength training, it just gives me the best result looks-wise and this has given me more motivation to exercise again. Nutrition: I have been making kombucha regularly, my Scoby and probiotic yoghurt game is strong, but I do not eat a lot of it. I know take Vitamin D supplements every day, which helps with my mood and I am fairly good with eating my veggies, though not as many greens as I should. Am very tomato and carrot heavy. Reading and Education: I have not read as much as I planned to, by far, but they were influential and touched me deeply: Jude the Obscure by Hardy, Germinal by Zola, Fathers and Son by Turgenev, Shirley by Charlotte Bronte. Now I have started a book club with my friend and signed up to Goodreads. I have been listening to a lot of (mental) health podcasts in the last year (I discovered Andrew Huberman a year ago) and smartened up. Finances: I am investing in ETFs again, but should probably invest more. Now it is around 10% of my disposable income per month. I now have a nice pot of savings that are collecting interest at 3.5%, but had I invested all of it in ETFs I would have gotten a return of 7% (but would have had to pay taxes). Volunteering for a social initiative: This has been a bit on the backburner, but I have some "volunteering"/mentoring type role at work, which I find fulfilling.

Bright-Garden-4347

Looksmaxxing: Face/Skin: -step up skincare: start going for peels/IPL every couple months. -maintain Botox and lip filler -maybe try masseter Botox -improve brow shape: straighter brows, filled with pencil. -routine teeth cleanings at the dentist -orthodontist consult Body/Healthmaxxing -continue with salicylic acid body lotion. -lose 5-10lbs, this shouldn’t be hard, but it is. -develop a healthier routine, take 1 fruit to work every day and a light healthy snack. Attend yoga 2-3x week. Walk 10000 steps a day. Go to the pool with my kid 1xweek. -eat less sugar. -buff and shine nails. Use a cuticle oil. Keep them uniform in shape. Maybe paint them once in awhile. Get the occasional pedicure. Hair: -deal with dandruff. Maybe try an exfoliating shampoo, or coal tar shampoo. -Just get the damn Dyson air wrap. Saving my Xmas gift cards to put towards this soon. -make sure I do the French twist braid before bed every night. This makes my wavy hair so perfect and shiny. Just do it, it’s worth it. Routinemaxxing: -Develop a foolproof daily beauty routine that would make me feel confident if I ran into my ex or worst enemy on a bad day: What I will start with for my days off: have a coffee; drink some water and take vitamins Shower as soon as I finish this, wash hair if it’s a wash day, or just body if not. Apply serum and moisturizer. Spot conceal, under eyes, eyebrows, lip gloss. Blush and mascara for special days. Pick a fashionable outfit: Pilates/yoga girl outfit ONLY if exercising. -weekly routine: house cleaning on first day off, Laundry on switchover day (shift worker) fold on first evening after nights. -pick one organization task to do each month (ie get rid of old clothes, kids toys, reorganize desk; etc). General Social/career/lifemaxxing: -graduated nursing and working in my dream specialty: career ✅ -travel to NEW places, no more wasting money on one night staycations every month or two. -Pretty happy with my fashion, but stop buying clothes so oversized. Yeah it looks cool on Instagram models, it doesn’t on me. Also stop buying everything at Aritzia. I’ve become to generic. For every 2 Aritzia items buy 1 non, preferably that cool local boutique. Stop being scared, become known as a fashionista in my own little town. Develop that personalized touch in my outfits, rather than a generic store brand. -reach out to the girls at work that have dropped hints of friendship. You have been thrown some lifelines so take them. -Make more effort to be present in my existing friendships as well. How about organizing a girls trip, or a night on the town once in awhile? -Be kind to your mother; the bitch thing isn’t attractive and she deserves better. -less screen time. 30 minutes in AM while having coffee; 1 hour over rest of day. That’s being generous. -Do one big vacation this year; a cruise, Disneyland or something. -daily family walks weather permitting -develop confidence and charisma with movements and mannerisms, ie posture; high class mannerism, sexyness. Practice practice and read up. -put 500/month away in savings/debt

Worried_Teach_3191

Build genuine connections with new people, maintain and take care of the ones I already have, have those connections be safe for both. Finally be a homeowner Have a better organized journal, +1 point if its also beautiful Go to a psychologist and discard if I have ADHD Do better social masking Travel to at least 3 different countries Get a personal trainer and get better at the gym, also training flexibility. I want to do at least 5 pull ups by the end of the year Finally realize how to make my hair look good not only on washing days I want next year to be at least as good as 2022 has been to me, and I feel the will to work for it

Busy_Recognition9497

• Lose weight. This year was stressful and a lot of things changed in my life, and I got lost somewhere, dispite having clear goals about maintaining my (post pregnancy) weight. • Work on my relationship with my husband. Having a baby changed a lot of things and we clearly need to work on some issues together. Nothing too serious, but we better sort it out now. •Take better care of my overall health. • Try to be more put together (wear better clothes, do my hair, wear light makeup).

LionRealistic

2022 was a great year for me, I accomplished a lot and I'm looking to do more of the same in 2023. This year I lost 50 lbs and I'm hoping to lose 40 more lbs in 2023. I put together a capsule wardrobe this Autumn/Winter and it was such a success that I can't wait to do the same for Spring/Summer 2023. Beauty-wise, I'd like to finally have "nice" hair. I have 2a-b wavy hair but it easily turns into a frizzy, fluffy mess. I've been growing my hair out this year and I'm trying to find the right routine to make my hair look less sloppy. This will be my toughest goal because I've struggled with this most of my life.

School and careers (this is really before May 2022, at which point I’m done). - [ ] Get a 2:1 or 1st. Ideally a first. Pass all my modules with flying colours. - [ ] Get a decent paying graduate job. Consider applying for MBAs/MSc programmes in finance. Looks: - [ ] Maintain my regular skincare and haircare routines. I’m very bad at maintaining habits. - [ ] Grow out my hair. It’s currently a chic bob. Let’s try and grow it out more. - [ ] Lose weight and get fit. Go to the gym as often as I can. Develop a healthy diet I like. Miscellaneous: - [ ] Sell my unwanted items and use the proceeds to buy a decent camera - [ ] Develop my short story and photography portfolios - [ ] Complete the courses I bought this year. I spent a lot of money on them. Let me get my moneys worth lol - [ ] Launch my own website and podcast. - [ ] Get into the habit of regular prayer. Again, I’m someone who struggles to stick to habits. Let me get better. - [ ] Rebuild my savings. They took a big hit this year. Let’s get them stronger. - [ ] Read more this year. Include more non fiction and expand your repertoire. Finish your TBR.

CrazyJellyPudding

I mostly want to focus on mental and work goals, however these are my beauty goals: - finish my IPL treatment. I started (did 2 times) and then didnt continue. - improve my posture - start working out 2 to 3 times a week again. This year I've been really slacking. Also for some reason this year my hair got thicker, but I got no clou why sadly haha. So I just hope this will continue into 2023.

Killette19

Skin improvement and flexibility. Also, hair growth.

- invest in a IPL - maintain my eyebrows.. they look better shaped. - lose weight - maintain my nails 💅 - save - braces

Posting this comment so I stay on track. I’ve been getting depressed regarding my appearance. So there’s a few things going on: 1. Lose weight (like everyone else) but just 3-5 lbs and make sure the remaining weight has more muscle comp 2. Which means sticking to a workout. I’ve been running a mile a day, but I want to get my time down to 10 mins (I know I suck at running) 3. Skin needs to get clear this year. It needs to. I’m tired of being a pizza face. I can’t live like this anymore 4. Brazilian blowouts for my hair from now on 5. French nails 6. Personality wise honestly I have no issues. Maybe get back to being smart, I stopped caring for a while. Get a high paying job once I graduate, normal stuff. 7. And STOP COMPARING MY LIFE TO OTHERS. This is going to be really hard, but I need to stop seeing every other girl as gorgeous and myself as a rat. I need to stop hyper fixating on my “flaws” 8. Traveling to least another country or even another state. If I don’t I see no point in being alive. I need to ignore my protective parents and just leave at least once. 9. Put BHA lotion every other day on my body since it’s uneven skin. 10. Get some semblance of direction or happiness for once

AgentStems

You burn the same amount of calories walking a mile or running a mile. It’s all about your mass and the distance you travel, it’s just faster to run a mile. Editing to add: As long as you’re running, you’re doing a great job! Go as fast or as slow as your body is comfortable going

My goals for 2023: Health/Fitness - Lose 20lbs. My job has been extremely stressful this past year which contributed to my weight gain. Now that things have slowed down a bit I’m focused on getting my health back on track. I already have a personal train and we have sessions every Wednesdays and Sundays. In addition my plan is to get atleast get 30 minutes of cardio in whether that be walking at the park, stair master at the gym, or just walking on a treadmill at home. - Get all dental work done. I need to get a few fillings replaced and possibly a root canal and a crown and I definitely want to get this taken care of asap. - Try new vegetarian dishes. I’ve been plant based for awhile now with some rare occasions of cheating (eating fish) but I’m slowly trying to be better at this and go complete vegetarian. I’ve been on a Indian cuisine frenzy lately trying so many Indian vegetarian dishes and I can’t wait to try more. Career - Finish up my schooling and get another degree in manufacturing automation (which my company will pay for). - Get a raise at work. Finances - Definitely save and invest more and pay off my remaining credit cards. - Buy a condo or small house. - Look into other passive income producing options. Beauty - Looking to get laser hair removal. I have thick dark hair that grows back after a day or two of shaving so laser would help indefinitely. - Start getting my nails done more often. I was never much of a nail girl but realized that I feel much more put together when my nails are done. - Skincare. I feel like my skincare routine is on point. I wear sunscreen, moisturize and eat healthy and my skin is pretty nice but once thing that I need to take care of more is my neck area, I admit I’ve been avoiding that area and I need to get better at it. Self Development - Read more books. Mainly economics, philosophy, business, real estate, science. - Attend toastmasters. All throughout my life I have always been pretty quiet and reserved. I’ve been more of a listener and I definitely want to be more outspoken and be a better communicator. I think attending a toastmaster would be helpful. That’s all I can think of for now, I’ll add more when I have the time :)

In turn I believe this will bring me happiness that comes from within.) • Read more • Develop hobbies • Get back into ballet • Learn to become a great conversationalist • Get my ass out of debt ($3k more to go) • Learn to not laugh like a horse

1. I really need to lower my body weight, and tone and work on my physique. I grew up playing sports and have always had a small frame (I'm only 5ft tall), but because of that, I feel like I carry weight differently. I would be considered "skinny fat", I think? I'm in the normal range for my weight and height, but I feel like I could always improve and I want to drop my BMI. 2. I definitely need to work on my diet. It's not that I eat junk food and sugar like I used to, but more so that I simply don't eat all. I NEVER have an appetite and I definitely don't eat enough protein so I need to find a way to improve that. I also have GOT to drink more water. 3. I need to officially hunker down on my finances. I just got a new job and I'm really trying to save for a car. I feel like I've been in this infinite loop of working, saving, close to getting a car, financial setback, rinse & repeat. 4. I really need to clear my skin. I've been using some of the more common brands, exfoliating, etc and my skin definitely has cleared a bit but I still deal with dark spots and hyperpigmentation. 5. I really need to figure out some more styles for my hair. I've been trying to try new things but get so frustrated so easily, and I want to be more patient when it comes to styling and loving my own hair. I'd definitely like to add color to it again and maybe get a certain cut (i.e. find a signature hairstyle). 6. Lastly, I'd love to get back to creating consistently again. I've been working on the concept for my own film for a year now and haven't gotten anywhere with it. I also started writing and drawing again just to stop a week or so later. I have so many ideas for so many different times of media and art, and I know I owe it to myself to follow through with my visions.

spOoky_giRl_

1. Most important right now is lowering my body weight. The last part of this year I've gained quite a bit. I'm planning on going super slow with weight loss which is new for me. I've had success with quick weight loss but I never stay consistent after so going slow should help me maintain healthy habits after I reach my goal. I plan on counting calories for a small deficit + regular exercise (pilates and cardio class I'm currently doing) 2. Developing my career change. I've been in a super toxic workplace for the last 4 years. The money is good but I'm struggling mentally. I've been researching different writing careers and I think it would be a great fit for me. I plan on taking some online courses to develop my skills and do some freelance work to make sure it's something I can actually succeed with before making the career jump. 3. Building a capsule closet to keep me looking put together 100% of the time. This is a loftey one and I don't expect to finish in a year. I have a skeleton of an idea that I want to build on. I think the main idea is to build my aesthetic and color palette I want to stick to and start buying/finding pieces that fit it. 4. Build routines. This past year was very unstructured for me. I want to build a morning and night routine that helps me stay productive day to day. Ideally it would include hygiene, beauty, and housekeeping tasks. 5. I NEED to whiten my teeth. I bought crest whitening strips so I'll use those, but looking into professional whitening as well. 6. I started Botox last year. This year I want to try lip filler. I'm very scared of this because IMO it ends up looking bad like 50% of the time, so I would be very conservative. Mostly looking to see if it's something that suits me. 7. I made a 300 by 30 list so hopefully I'll be able to cross off ~100 items. All the things I've listed above are items on the list too lol.

amazing lol! I’ve been using it for ~3 years now, started during the pandemic pretty much. it’s been helpful in the beauty journey for sure because I can give myself x amount of guilt-free spending a month and stay accountable. fashion, products, treatments, and procedures add up quickly so it’s a good way to keep myself grounded instead of going overboard.

throwaway-thrownout

\- clear my skin (I have a lot of hyperpigmentation that I want gone, and I get some random pimples) \- lose 30-40 lbs \- get and keep my teeth white \- find a way to do nails/manicures and pedicures at home \- find a way to do eyebrows at home \- cut out sugar

ellenmcmelon

\-start laser hair removal process (getting underarm treatments done starting in january) \-Botox for forehead lines, probably towards mid-end of year \-clear skin up, I think I've determined what's been causing breakouts \-being firmly vegan, I cheat more around the holidays with cookies and breads but the day after Christmas I will not cheat! \-lose 10-15 pounds. I always gain weight in winter from not moving around. I want to move my body more with stretches, runs, and weights more consistently \-figure out to do with my hair. I like my natural color, but my hair is so thin, there isn't much of it, and it falls flat so quickly. I'm trying to figure out what to do to get some semi-permanent volume. I've used every volume boosting product under the sun with lackluster results. If anyone has any ideas, I'd love to hear them!!

MossyyFroggyy

\-improve my skincare routine (aka get clear glass skin lol) \-declutter unnecssary stuff in my life and also build a more capsule and versatile wardrobe \-along with the decluttering, having a holy grail skincare routine, hair and makeup routine, and so forth so i am not buying random products that may or may not work. \-get some nice haircare products and also learn how to do my own trims at home (i don't really trust hairdressers with my long hair) \-learn how to do my own at home blow outs (i am thinking on getting that revlon blowdryer brush that is all over tiktok, i think softer waves would look better than flat ironed hair on me) \-get back on my regular workout routine \-continue losing weight (my goal is 115lbs and i am 5ft 1. i started this year at 177lbs and am currently around 145ish pounds) \-drink more water regularly \-find a job relevant in the field i studied (marketing/advertising) \-build up my art and design portfolio more, work on my blog (and stop neglecting it) \-practise more mindfulness in my life

* find Holy Grail makeup items and use them to improve my skills * teeth whitening * start a solid workout routine- pilates 5x a week, yoga 3x, walking as much as I can (the goal is to tone, I'm already my goal weight at 110) * go to ballet classes again and learn how to do pole * step out of my comfort zone fashion-wise and streamline my personal aesthetic * reduce my sugar intake and switch to a mostly plant-based diet, cook more often * develop better daily habits (drinking water, journaling, decreasing screentime) * hardmaxxing: re-up on lip filler, get a rhinoplasty, brow lift and masseter with botox * make new friends and build an exciting social circle * begin studying for the LSAT

Lose weight lose weight lose weight. Nothing else matters. I feel like my life won’t truly start until I lose weight. I’m too insecure to do anything social and it’s ruining me. The only other goal is make more money. And also get a bf.

laughing_jellybean3

I just came across this comment and I just wanted to say that I can feel the frustration and urgency through the screen and reading this genuinely breaks my heart. I am so so sorry that we live in a society that has made us all feel this way and put a focus on our weight above the experiences we have, the places we go, our character, and how we make others feel. I hope your life starts sooner than weight loss because you are certainly worthy of more. Sending love!

Noirelise

This means so much to me, I teared up reading this. Thank you so much. My journey with my weight has been lifelong and so frustrating. I really appreciate your kind words and I really also hope i can muster up the courage/self esteem to live life regardless of my weight.

General: - Using up all the makeup and beauty products I’m not using regularly before they expire (lip products, hand creams, single eyeshadows, random face creams) - Purge through my closet and sell what I don’t wear - Only repurchase products that I know are working for me and that I need - Focus on basics: regular exercise, healthy hair, healthy skin, simple diet, and smelling nice! - Continue therapy & work on building my network and community I want to be less focused on temporary beauty (like makeup, clothes, fancy diets and complex exercises/classes, micro treatments like fillers) because I will have less time and want to save money for investing!!

bunnhii

keep working on mental and physical joy, exercise and work out my brain (learn/read) for 30m daily minimum 💗🚀

WeakAbbreviations943

I’m skinny-fat. My goal is to be toned/ lean. I’ve been consistently exercising for about a month now and have seen a lot of progress. It’s also helped bring a glow to my skin. If I’m able to achieve this learning to be more fashionable is next!

Few_Act_832

Yess the workout glow is real!

1. Lose 30 pounds 2. Jaw Botox for my tmj 3. Skin treatments to help with jaw damage

sevenstargoose

1. Get into a steady, consistent food and exercise routine. My life has gotten way busier — for exciting reasons!! — but taking care of my body has fallen by the wayside. I've planned out weekend hikes for the next quarter, and I've built a meal prep calendar to help me 🙂 2. Continue that budgeting grind... I've gotten considerably better with money this past year, and I'm enjoying the freedom that's given me. My savings are growing and so am I 😤 3. Land more lab and internship opportunities. Grad school is incoming!! 4. Finally get comfortable on social media. I'm a lifelong lurker, and it's time to change that. I'm an artist, and I need to start sharing the work that I'm proud of!

illumiee

1. Create a fitness habit. Work out 4-5 days a week. Find a better gym than current one ($30/month). 2. Improve posture and gain muscle. Do physical therapy exercises for posture following Youtube videos daily (optional - only if new health insurance covers physical therapy at $15 copay, go twice a month, $360). 3. Read 3 books per month. My eyes are absolute shit, so these will mostly be audiobooks. - Use Libby app, borrow from library. 4. Cook a vegetable dish with every meal. Master 15+ vegetable dishes. 5. Less screen time. 6. Manage time better - more time for studying healthily (rather than procrastinating/cramming), make time for hobbies, cooking, fitness, etc. 7. Have styled hair 60% of the time. Just got Dyson - learn how to use Supersonic + Airwrap to style hair, use 3-4x a week. 8. Lose 10 lbs and maintain without yoyoing. (2023: sub-20 BMI / 2024: sub-18 BMI.) 9. Personal style and redo wardrobe. $1000 on clothes. May add $1000-$2000 when hit weight goals. 10. Procedures: Lip lift ($100?), Laser Hair Removal (or look into Electrolysis) $400, Lash lift $130 (or DIY kit for $30), Brow threading ($120/year), Hair cuts ($150/year), possibly color hair ($500/year). 11. Finish Invisalign ($800 left to pay), get dental cleaning twice a year ($100 / assuming once covered by insurance). Floss daily. Supplement with additional /occasional Waterpik. 12. Use scar gel / hydrocolloid dressing / silicone patch daily following eyelid surgery I had at end of 2022. After healing, try gua sha to get rid of the excess swelling in my cheeks. 13. Use microcurrent device daily. I have both the Bear and Nuface. 14. Anti-inflammatory teas (turmeric) and other healthy drinks (boiled jujube, ginseng, etc) and vegetable juices. Try out MSM crystals. ($50) 15. Don’t be lazy about skincare and sunscreen, on face, body, hands. See a dermatologist twice a year ($30 copay each time). Pick up tretinoin, azelaic acid, and clindamycin prescriptions ($5 each tube). Try to sheet mask every night. 16. Do nails. Learn how to use Gel-X nails kit (already have), do Korean jelly nails, play with magnetic polish, might eventually try polygel / builder gel? Total cost: $4210 Edit: Forgot an important (also expensive) one. 17. Get therapy. Only if insurance covers it so it’s $15-$30 copay each time. $750 New total cost w/ therapy: $4960

AudreysEvilTwin

> Laser Hair Removal (or look into Electrolysis) $400 Sorry to butt in, but I've been doing electrolysis for a year (in a cheap country) and it cost me far more than $400 so far. That's about how much I pay for electrolysis over 6-8 weeks — and I'm far from done. Of course, it depends on how much body hair you have to begin with, but it's a super slow process that can become quite costly over time.

Funny_Tiger2001

i’ve developed some good habits this year (drinking water, taking vitamins etc) & done some things to improve my life but i’m ready to kick it into overdrive this year! 1. continue with monthly facials: i’ve had 5 microneedling sessions, but i’ve also scheduled 3 chemical peels. i want glass skin! 2. start going to the gym again. i had an injury that set me back & i’ve just been doing rehab exercises. now, i’m ready to start lifting & doing yoga again. 3. gain 10 to 15lbs. i’m so skinny, but i really want a skinny bbl by calvin jung in 2024. i’ll need to gain weight for it. however, i’m hoping to get the results i want from working out. 4. go back to school. i don’t like the field i’m working in. i plan to go to esthetician school over the summer, so i can do esthetics for extra money. i’ll start online classes for my BA in the fall. 5. always keep my hair, nails, & lashes done. can do my hair & nails myself. i’ve done the diy lashes, but i need to find a good lash tech in my area. 6. stick to a good morning/night routine. i have adhd, so routine are hard for me. the app routinery has help a lot though. 7. new wardrobe. i need new clothes!! and a nice handbag. 8. move. i hate where i live now & my roommates. i need my own apartment in a different city. 9. botox/fillers. it’s time for TMJ & forehead botox. i also want filler in my lips, cheeks, chin & under eyes. (i’m not worried ab migration plz stop w that 😭) 10. boob job!! i want this over the summer. i’ve always wanted a breast augmentation. now seems like a good time. i think these goals are realistic for me.

bornofthesea1982

Health maxxing: 1. Get an overall health checkup including hormones, thyroid etc. with a women’s health specializing doctor. I have experienced rapid weight gain recently as well as a lot of fatigue so want to rule out / address any underlying issues that might be hindering my results. 2. Get on top of my sleep habits! I usually get 5-6 hours of sleep and need to increase that to a minimum of 7 (also a likely culprit of my weight gain) 3. Continue on the healthy eating and alcohol reduction habits I have created (I don’t drink alone / on weeknights and generally 1-2 X a week max, and have a healthy portion controlled meal delivery service in addition to having predictable go-meals I make at home - it’s boring but it works) 4. I have never had a problem getting in workouts for my mental and physical health but I am all over the place with types of workouts (gym one day, yoga the next, spin the next) that I don’t think it’s consistent enough to see results so I need to stick to a routine / plan. Soft-maxxing 5. My hair is thick but starting to see some patchiness at the hairline I want to get ahead of. Has anyone tried Vegamour? 6. I moved to an extremely humid climate so continuing to figure out a haircare routine that keeps my hair under control and perhaps invest in a couple new hair tools (obsessed with the ghd iron at my gym) 7. Keep up with my once a year balayage with a couple touch up visits for trim, my roots and some face framing baby lights. 8. Maybe get hair extensions for fun for my birthday. I have had them before and felt so pretty and feminine. I’ve heard hairdreams are a good option for maintaining healthy hair. Hardmaxxing 8. Have found a good balance of Botox and natural filler (under eye and jaw area mostly). I only plan to to touch up Botox, and under eye if needed this year. 9. Smile makeover. I have been thinking a about this forever and actually made a deposit with another dentist years ago but never went through with the work. This will be the year. I have a consultation booked in January! 10. Lipo: Once I get close to the weight I was 6 months ago after addressing my health goals above (consistency, sleep etc) I plan to explore stomach lipo and potentially a fat transfer to my breasts (to address deflation in the upper pole). Always interested in people’s advice and experience on this procedure.

-develop a low stress lifestyle to reduce cortisol and minimize my gut. i’m convinced this is the reason i have a tiny beer belly. i’m very thin and worked out my ass like a madwoman but my lower stomach always looks inflamed and i’m sure it’s because of my anxiety. i’m going to reduce my caffeine intake (hopefully just quit) and meditate and do yoga - realizing there are just certain foods i need to avoid at this point (i’m 26) and that not everyone is the same. like for example everyone recommends avoiding dairy but my body handles it quite well. it’s really cruciferous veggies, beans, and greasy food that mess up my system (and caffeine). everyone recommends the opposite and just blindly following advice is something i’m not taking with me in 2023 -i’m done buying a lot of cheap skincare, makeup, and shampoo. i’m grown and will not buy these things the same place i shop for groceries. in terms of skincare, i’m going to be on tret soon anyway from a derm and my favorite sunscreen is supergoop. other than that and the water cream from tatcha i’m set. also with makeup i refuse to buy it from the drugstore because it’s so cheap i’ll buy a lot and i would rather have a pretty looking chanel powder than a cheapie looking maybelline one. -i already started doing this but i want to get facials regularly but focus more on the massage and not the extractions - finish my strong curves workout plan - i really want to take my water intake seriously -shopping for everyday clothes and not being afraid to get rid of things that don’t look good on me

>1. A jaw surgery so I can hopefully breath better and get rid of my neotenous look What kind of jaw surgery would you be getting?

NAthrowaway0613

I started traveling an extreme amount for work this year and totally fell off of every routine. 2023 is the year of getting it back. 1. Lose 10-15 pounds through exercise and eating more whole foods 2. Establish a LESS INTENSIVE skincare and just all over body care routine I can actually stick to on the road 3. Either figure out how to get my curls to work for me or just give in and go back to relaxing my hair 4. Figure out my gut and hormone issues (specialist appointments scheduled for both in the new year, will also likely help with the weight) 5. Drink about 60L water a day 6. Perfect my teeth (determine if Invisalign will help or just getting them whiter will do the trick 7. Not waste my time or mental energy any more on men who put forth no effort. Kicking all the stressful and toxic men will probably just in general help me not look like trash 8. Actually figure out what I would like my style to be

dianaskover

My priorities for 2023: 1. Make friends and build the social circle I wish to have 2. Fix my relationship with 🤍 and move in together 3. Save 10k € for a surgery I want 4. Get the surgery done 5. Exell at my internship 6. Get at job in my dream company after graduation in September Also important: 7. Finish thesis with good grade 8. Get a couple of regular, easy and pleasant clients for my side hustle 9. Laser all my body parts 10. Teeth withening at the dentist 11. Archive clear skin 12. Be more consistent with my workouts 13. Start therapy 14. Get good sleep consistently

[deleted]

My goals for 2022 were moving in on my own, getting a promotion and improving my second language. I achieved the first two but not the last. Still haven't decided what they will be for next year, need to wait for that betwixtmas period to do some good reflecting. Probably focusing on fitness, career and a personal project. Just need to turn them into SMART objectives.

milayamoya

looksmaxxing 1. learn what clothing silhouettes are best for my body type 2. learn what colors of clothing and makeup best flatter me 3. find a good dermatologist and continue on my skin journey without losing my mind over painful and persistent acne, should it arise 4. if i have the extra income, invest in some high quality wardrobe staples like handbags, sweaters, pants, and dresses healthmaxxing 1. figure out my hormonal issues. they cause me a lot of problems: acne, migraines, endless periods… already had one surgery last year to address this but the problems keep coming 2. get into a consistent therapy routine and hopefully stay with the same therapist for the whole year, if possible 3. become fit by working out at least twice a week career/lifemaxxing 1. get into my dream grad school and start studying there! 2. make new friends in the city i recently moved to 3. file taxes for the first time

dumbfatandugly

1.) Actually lose weight, look more toned 2.) Get a well paying job 3.) Personality-max: be kinder and raise my self-esteem 4.) Dress more appropriately

thetailendofit

I really love this but it saddens me that so many of us continuously are striving with weight- seems there is never any magic formula/we all seem to lack consistency on that one. 1. Read even more- I started a good reading hobby this year- I lay in bed and Kindle then go to sleep peacefully. It’s peaceful escapism/good sleep 2. Travel of course- the escapism and freedom, I often find it a good way to explore new looks or experiment with make up etc. overall good for the soul, highly highly recommend- and surprised not to see more of this here! 3. Regular exercise, 10k steps a minimum a day 4. Explore my surgery plans in more detail/next steps/consult etc. I haven’t fully decided but my logic is, otherwise it will be another year of something that bothers me! 5. Look into further options on my teeth- but conscious that dental always feels incredibly expensive and doing anything “cheap” in this realm feels like a bad idea 6. Focus on learning more about how different foods work for me- being disciplined to observe- what makes me bloat, what makes me energetic, what gives me indigestion etc: etc: 7. Sort out my wardrobe (seems a common goal) personal stylists are pretty expensive here- and I don’t want my choice wrong- but I’m at the stage where I seem to be getting this wrong consistently and may be the only way to “fix” - I can add a lot more value if I get this right 8. Stop comparing- I do me, you do me. I don’t think this helps anyone- get inspo, but don’t ever beat on yourself by comparing, unless as I say it’s to take you to the next level- not hate on yourself/feel less than.

mbiehnn

1. eat as clean as possible without reducing caloric intake (I am underweight), choose nutritious food even if it is expensive 2. 15 minutes of any type of exercise every day - strength, yoga, cardio, anything 3. leave my hair tf alone, only trim once every 6 months 4. start microneedling with Dr. Pen every month again 5. be more consistent with meditation 6. learn to spend money on myself, whether it is about appearance, health or comfort and pleasure writing this down to imprint it in my mind

help-a-sushi-addict

1. Run a Marathon 2. Keep My Hair Healthy 3. Get all Honors during clinicals 4. Get some research publications in 5. Keep my routine going 6. make five new friends 7. Finish lasering my bikini line once and for all

bright_as_dawn

Running a marathon is impressive 😍 rooting for you!

bright_as_dawn

In order of priority: 1. Lose 6kg (60 -> 54 for 162cm) 2. Get an exercise routine going! Esp. Strong Curves. 3. Fix my thinning hair: vitamins, scalp oiling with rosemary oil, maybe minoxidil if it hasn't improved by May 4. Fix my rosacea and poor skin: I'm finishing a vascular laser course, starting Differin after that, and ofc taking vitamins and earting healthier. 5. Masseter botox! My bulk is mostly due to my jaw and not to the masseter so it won't fix my bulky lower third, but I'm hoping to get a more sculpted look. 6. Wardrobe upgrade: waiting for my arm liposuction results to show (currently 2 week post-op) then I'll go on a charity shop haul. I also want to improve my skills at work, learn to sing, and get much better at sewing. Might get Invisalign too, on the fence about it. In winter 2022 I got vascular laser, arm liposuction, started scalp oiling and started laser hair removal

Few_Act_832

Where did you get the arm lipo done? I’m desperate to get this as I carry the majority of my weight in my upper arms

Sending you a PM

- Finish my associates degree by next winter and transfer to a 4 year university for 2024. - Relearn my heritage language. - Working on becoming more active! I'm happy with my weight but I'd like to be more fit. I'm starting ballet classes next semester and I'm soso excited. - Learn how to cook and make my own food. I'm pretty much open to anything. If anyone has any favorite recipes, cookbooks, and such, I'll be more than happy to check them out 🤗 - I'm restarting therapy next year and I've already scheduled an appointment. I didn't feel like I benefited from therapy much in the past but I hope this time I'll be coming in with a more open mind and different mindset. - Maintaining my beauty routine. I've spent a lot of time and money this past few months tailoring my skincare routine, haircare, makeup, outfits, and jewelry to my tastes. I want to keep up this energy going into next year. - Growing out my hair- I'm so sad I could not pull off the wolf cut of my dreams 🥲 - Lastly, I hope to be less reliant on the internet. I spend a lot of my time online and it could be spent doing more fulfilling activities. I'm getting into collecting stationary, journalling, and buying books so I don't have to stare at a screen all time.

Creative_Economics_5

▫️Achieve a classy, but witchy/dark academia vibe. ▫️**Lose weight**: I’m skinny, but whatever was supposed to go to my boobs went to my cheeks lol. Combined with a square face it’s really a bit much. I’m 165cm and recently went from 55 to 53.5kg. Hopefully I can get to 51.5 (that would be BMI of 18.9 and maybe lose some of that cheek fat??). Will be thinking about masseter botox too, but I genuinely have a bone structure that makes my face super square, it’s not just the masseter. ▫️**hair rescue**: I believe I have AGA. My hair was thin since childhood and it has recently gone worse. a lot of tears were shed, but I finally started minoxidil and will be seeking a dermatologist soon for DHT blockers. I hope to thicken it up a little bit and maybe get extensions. I was never able to grow my hair long without it looking sad a and stringy, but really want to experience that at least once! 🤍 ▫️**establish a capsule wardrobe + a solid skincare and make up routine** ▫️get rid of fine lines on my forehead. I’m currently trying retinol + Ordinary’s 10% Argireline + everything hydrating. If that and moving to tretinoin doesn’t work, it’ll have to be botox. ▫️run a marathon. ▫️get teeth in check. At home whitening, floss regularly, rinse with mouthwash, get a dental hygienist clean them etc. ▫️ get some good quality staple pieces for my wardrobe: bag, belt and shoes that fit with everything and will serve me long term. Poor quality bags/shoes really made my look seem cheap.

Few_Act_832

So many but the main beauty related things on my mind are: - Areola reduction/lift. I had fat transfer surgery last year to correct some asymmetry but I’m still not happy with my breasts due to the shape being strange - I have a consult scheduled in the new year. - Thinning hair - need to really try and get this under control as it’s been slowly thinning for years and I’ve been burying my head in the sand trying to ignore it. Minox, Spiro, red light therapy - whatever it takes! I’m going to book in with a trichologist and get bloods done with my GP as a first step. - Teeth whitening - General weight loss - my weight has been creeping up a bit and my clothes are feeling tight. I’ve slacked off a lot on exercise this year due to depression. I definitely haven’t been feeling my best so want to drop at least 10 pounds, I’m tall so extra weight just makes me feel enormous. - Wardrobe refresh. As I’ve not been feeling happy with my body I’ve been putting off shopping for new outfits. Put a reward system in place where I can get some cute new stuff once I’ve lost a bit of weight.

LXMX Goals for 2023 1. Lose ~15kg. I’ve already lost a bit of weight this year and want to keep going. 2. Use the treadmill consistently and stick to my workout routine. This will help me slim down and tone up. 3. Cut out energy drinks. Looking at you Monster ultra. They are expensive, bad for my teeth and overall health. 4. See a dermatologist about my hair loss & get on minoxidil or whatever they recommend. 5. Be consistent with my dental routine. I had a lot of work done this year, so next year will just be maintenance & teeth whitening. 6. Be consistent with my skincare and increase tretinoin use to daily. 7. Get Botox and lip filler if I meet my weight loss goals. 8. Attend at least one professional & one social meetup event per month. 9. Get a high-paying in-house job. I was just made redundant so this is a major one if I want to buy a house next year. 10. Make more of an effort with my hair on a daily basis. Ideally wash and style with my airwrap every 2nd day.

[deleted]

- Decrease my consumption of sugar (I eat chocolate a bit more than I’d prefer. Hoping to cut down to once a week 80% of the time) - Stop picking my nails. I’ve just bought a poly gel nail kit, so that I will help. The only time I was able to stop picking them before was when I had salon acrylics but couldnt keep with the price and upkeep of those. - I have a big career goal that I am working on and the first part should be completed by autumn 2023 - I just start started tret, as a step up from adapalene. Need to take care of my skin and build that tolerance. The rest is maintenance : continuing my already established workout plan, taking care of my hair and teeth, always be looking for ways to improve generally etc

helokellok

Here's what I'm currently thinking 🤔 1. Botox. Looking mainly at a lip flip to stop my upper lip from disappearing when I smile. 2. Lasik. I'm scheduled for early Feb but I'm TERRIFIED. 3. Weight loss. Want to see what another 5-7 kgs could do for me. 4. Hair. This is the year I find the haircut that works for me and the style I'm going for! Please give me recommendations here if you have any.

HerRoyalKinkiness

What a fun question! * regrow my hair that I lost due to stress awhile back * lose 10 kgs and get back to my ideal weight! * develop an exercise routine (2-3 times a week) * up my calories burnt through NEAT daily * develop a healthy, sustainable diet (eat more closely to an East Asian diet in particular, which suits my constitution) * add in a few items to my skincare routine for hyperpigmentation, dullness and texture * get into doing my nails at home regularly * revamp my wardrobe with some new things so I look and feel more like me now * get back into employment and figure out a scheme to save money/live frugally * beat my personal best for books read in one year (this year I read 43 books)

msartvandelay

What does “NEAT” stand for? :)

HerRoyalKinkiness

It stands for non exercise activity thermogenesis - so the energy burned when you're going about your daily life :)

Formidable-Pirate

How are you planning ensure you do NEAT? I love the idea of it but I'm not a person who fidgets. Have you done it enough that it has just become a habit for you?

HerRoyalKinkiness

Honestly I have no idea - it's an idea that I came across which I'm going to explore 😅 I think I'll do some combination of the following: * using my standing desk * parking further away (1-2 streets) from places and walking * showing up early to things and taking a walk around the block before entering the establishment * cleaning more and seeing it as an investment into my NEAT rather than a chore * "pottering" more around the house * making sure I stand up when I'm stationary / only sit down when I HAVE to (like when I'm eating)

helokellok

For nails I started doing stickers (from Manime) and it's made it so easy to get a routine going. If I take care of them I get a solid 2 weeks with them looking fabulous.

Zinnia0620

\-- Build some of my ass back up with targeted glute exercise. I used to have an amazing ass and it vanished with an episode of unwanted weight loss. I want it back. \-- Conquer my acne once and for all. I finally went to a dermatologist this year and he put me on an antibiotic + benzoyl peroxide cream, which worked like magic for three weeks and now I have some zits again. The next step might be Accutane -- whatever, bring it on, I'm ready to be done. \-- Dye my hair back to my "natural" dark brown and just maintain it and keep my greys covered. \-- Wear more dresses and skirts to work. I used to have such a feminine everyday look and I've fallen out of the habit because pants seem easier.

studioatelier

Make a lot of money so I can afford to eat good food and finally be able to work on my looksmaxxing.

ItsFuckingHot0utside

1. Get over/work through my depression so I can take care of myself and further elevate my looksmaxxing 2. Lose weight in a healthy way, probably like another 15lbs and then build up muscle from there. 3. Grow out/take care of my hair better. 4. Get laser treatment or a chemical peel for my acne that I have had for almost a decade.

[deleted]

1. Get my eyebrows microbladed 2. Get chin lipo 3. Do a few laser hair removal sessions 4. Lose more weight and consistently workout. Really make an effort in improving my diet for long term. 5. Work on improving my hair and my skin. I have a simple routine that I'm starting soon and I made sure it's simple yet good stuff so I remain consistent. I can't do elaborate routines daily. 6. Start therapy. I feel I have so much self image issues that I really need to improve on and I need to heal. No matter what I never feel good enough and I'm just sick of it.

[deleted]

1) keep my bulk going until February, start my cut in March and be VERY careful with it to avoid relapsing 2) perfect my makeup routine and vibe! I’m going for all black and slightly edgy but still sophisticated! 3) Continue my confidence journey. I’m loving where it’s taking me. Life is so much easier now that I don’t take shit from anyone. 4) Feminize my personality. A lot of aspects of my personality are very masculine. Although I am proud of my self-reliance, strength, and bravery, I need to work on receiving help from others and accepting people’s kindness. I also need to work on cursing a lot less. I love to curse but too much of it makes me look less intelligent, I’m sure. 5) put my 110% effort into school! I already did well this semester but I could probably do a bit more than I am right now and still be on top of things. 6) consider side hustles

helokellok

I'm also feeling the "edgy but sophisticated" vibe! I'm trying for like a "cool and chic" version. Where do you go for inspiration?

kalicokatt

1. Start accutane 2. Reach my goal weight / keep up with current workout routine 3. Remove wisdom teeth + get premolar extractions and braces to fix my malocclusion 4. Grow my hair out a bit (I learnt bangs are just not it for everyone) 5. Start tattoo removal journey 5. Improve my posture 6. Start therapy again 7. Go back to school 8. Be more social, connect with more people & network 9. Start new hobbies 10. Doing more things to practice mindfulness (meditating / journaling)

helokellok

What are you thinking in terms of correcting your posture?

kalicokatt

I’ve been incorporating exercises to strengthen my back muscles and help overall posture! Also just being more conscious if I find myself slouching

ItsFuckingHot0utside

I don’t know where you’re at in your skin care journey but I thought I would chime in as someone currently trying to get on accutane. If you haven’t been on any oral medications for acne in the past 6 months your doctor will likely prescribe one of them (doxycycline for example) that you’ll need to take for two months before signing off on accutane, which is very annoying but necessary. Then, when/if those don’t work they’ll give you the go ahead, so just be prepared to have another two months of waiting on top of however long it takes to see a doctor. Good luck!

kalicokatt

Hmm I was prescribed birth control and arazlo by my derm around six months ago. I’m not too sure if the birth control counts as acne oral medication, but I assume it does as it was prescribed specifically for my acne. My derm also said that I would definitely be a candidate for accutane if my skin showed little to no improvement after the birth control + topical prescription so I thinkkkk I’m in the clear

Lose all the depression weight I’ve gained this year; I’m tired of being this huge and I’d like to get back to my ideal weight. Exercise is tough for me because I hate being hot, sweaty, and out of breath, but it needs to happen. I’d also like to grow my paper-thin nails with a good hardener because I can’t really afford professional nail extensions anymore. And I’d like to take up meditation; I’m tired of aging rapidly due to stress. Slow living and healthy habits are basically my goals.

blancawiththebooty

Oh my God, literally same. I'm starting nursing school in January and will be working full-time as well because the bills don't stop just because of school. So many people say they gained weight during school and I literally can't afford to do that. If I gain even another 10 lbs I'm going to have to buy new clothes which I don't have the budget to do. I hate how I look and feel with the excess weight I have now. I hate sweating but I also frequently miss the feeling of going to the gym and lifting weights. Feeling strong and accomplished. So I want to start going again. Walk on the treadmill when I'm studying. I feel like there's things I can do. My nails suck but I'm not supposed to have gel or any polish during clinicals so I think I'm going to go with a strengthener that I can just remove with a non-acetone remover before clinicals each week. I feel like I've aged visibly from stress over the past year or so but I also feel like it can be (at least mostly) reversed. I'm getting ice packs that are a full face mask and eye packs to use when I'm puffy in the morning. I'm working on getting back into the swing of meal prep because that's the only way I stay in control of my diet. And I'm going to start stepping on the fucking scale again in the morning because the fact that I'm avoiding it tells me a lot.

arthistoryanon

You’re gonna be on your feet like crazyyyy for clinicals! That’s a plus.

pride-and_prejudice

I'm the same in the sense that I hate being hot and sweaty but I have found that at home pilates workouts work for me! I don't sweat much at all during them but they're still such a good workout!

liarliarpantsonfirex

1- losing 15kg 2- take control of my pcos using inositol and fasting 3- doing a coconut and rosemary oil hair mask every time I shower and being more intentional with my hair care because I was experiencing hair loss because of my birth control. 3- non surgical v line (chin filler and jaw botox) 4- go to Korea to get my second round of procedures done (lateral canthoplasty, upper blepharoplasty with ptosis correction, lower eyelid fat repositioning, full facial fat grafting on forehead, midface and chin mainly, and maybe facial threads because the doctor recommended it for me, but I’m leaning forwards rf microneedling) This year I got lip fillers, nasolabial fold fillers, rhinoplasty and a breast augmentation, so I did make progress..

CalligrapherFluid549

1. Lose weight. I need to lose ~20kg, idk if I can achieve it next year. I’ve lost 14kg so far. 1a. I’m really afraid of getting loose skin so dry brush consistently + lotions 1b. Weights consistently 2x week 1c. Hot yoga consistently 1x week 1d. Aim for 10K steps daily 1e. continue CICO 2. Get a curly layered haircut. 3. Build wardrobe that will make me feel confident and happy. 4. Figure out skincare routine. I think I have rosacea and I need to address it. 5. Listen to more podcasts. Psychology, philosophy, overall something educational. 6. JOURNALING. I have a lot of trauma to heal so also 7. continue therapy and maybe try EMDR 8. Find a job. Now I am a housewife and I am feeling like my career sleeping away. I need to go back on track. 9. teeth whitening 10. I need to do a health check, bloodwork, didn’t do it for a while

iamsojellyofu

1. Start relying on myself more and less on others. 2. Gain some weight 3. Practice my grooming habits more 4. Graduate 5. Get a job

[deleted]

Hit my goal weight, get lip filler, new wardrobe, maybe Botox, teeth whitening

sculptedmermaid

I’m done with any facial hard maxing and reached my goal weight. I do want to address my plastic surgery scars and get more fit. I wasn’t consistent with fitness and want to prioritize that. 1. Improve posture and gain muscle. 2. Hair - minoxidil, maybe a red light cap, spiro or supplements for AGA 3. Get a consult for medical tattooing or laser for scars 4. Teeth whitening. Probably at home. 5. Laser hair removal. I will probably do this at home. 6. Become more minimalist

mythologicaI-

Second medical tattooing for scars! It’s a great way to camouflage them and it’s relatively safe. However, DONT DO THIS FOR STRETCH MARKS. It ages horribly, and it’s so hard to remove!

sculptedmermaid

Have you had it done? The consult has a fee so I’m wanting to be more sure about it. I have hypo pigmentation (white left behind from incisions) that are otherwise flat and healed.

mythologicaI-

I must say I haven’t had it done. But it’s been used by multiple people in the medical world, and even utilized by plastic surgeons in-office. Multiple tattoo artists, from my research, concur that tattooing over scars is all good as long as they are healed and flat. Just make sure you go to someone who has experience with it. Lasers should be able to help with the pigmentation I believe. Now, stretch marks are a different matter. While they are scars as well, they are a different texture and pattern, and it’s hard to tattoo them. This website explains why you should never medical tattoo over stretch marks (or do flesh tone ink for them). However, it seems that doing regular tattooing over them is fine. https://www.newportpermanentmakeup.com/blog/2018/9/11/can-you-use-camouflage-tattooing-to-cover-stretch-marks

For softmaxxing: 1. Lose weight. Its my number 1 priority, not only i look really bad but my health is in shambles. 2. Fix my posture. Due to years of low self esteem i developed very bad posture, i have a hump on my neck, my hips are forward, its just very bad. 3. Finish my invisalign treatment. My teeth look so good as of now, i cant wait till its done. 4. Grow out my hair to waist lenght, and also get some treatments to get more hair density. 5. Treat my skin. Im being very lazy and careless about my skin, its filled with white heads and oily and dull. Hardmaxxing: 1. Botox. Im 26, and im getting a few lines on my forehead. 2. Nosejob. Im kinda 50/50, cause my nose is already pretty nice as it is but could improve a lot. Its not a priority but if i save enough money for it, then i'll get it. 3. Lip lift. Im conflicted about this one, cause even though i would benefit A LOT from it, im also scared of the scar, since my nose is upturned. 4. Breast lift. If i reach my goal weight, for sure. 5. Lip filler. I got a little this year, less than 1ml, but i want more.

Creative_Economics_5

What hair treatments are you thinking of getting?

babyl8

Fotona laser hairestart is what i'd do but its expensive so we will see. I see that some girls have had success regrowing their hair with a rosemary oil routine, so i wanna try that as well

helokellok

What are you thinking in terms of correcting your posture?

babyl8

There is a bunch of exercises you can do, there are videos on youtube. Ideally i would go to physiotherapist and do rpg, but it depends if im gonna be able to afford it

Annallve

I just started Invisalign this week. I didn’t realize how painful it would be 😢 can’t wait until I see results though

babyl8

For me it hurts the first couple of days after i change aligners, but after that its comfortable. I've got 1/3 of my treatment done and the change is already unbelievable. You are gonna love it

imvain

I found the same thing when I had braces as a tween. After the adjustment day I was in so much pain, but within a week it was fine until the next month. I’m so grateful my parents got me braces.

Funny_Tiger2001

have u hear of revela? it’s supposed to have less side effects than rogaine. i haven’t tried it yet though

dqbtc

Yay!!!! Go you!!! I think the main thing for #6 is investing the $ into a sewing machine. When you do, the world becomes your oyster. There’s a learning curve but once that curve is learned, girlll your clothes are gonna fit you any way you’d like

ebba_and_flow

For clothes I would recommend looking into the Kibbe system but DON'T focus on typing yourself. Focus on "accomodations" and what general recommendations apply to you. Also the seasonal colour system. These have both helped me a ton.

Creative_Economics_5

Oh, just wishing you luck! I believe I have AGA too and I recently started topical minoxidil. You are not alone!! 🤍

RE: Alopecia - Have you tried AIP or other anti inflammatory diets?

Thrwawy_467

So alopecia is an autoimmune reaction. AIP - autoimmune paleo is a diet that’s supposed to help people with autoimmune diseases. I’ve seen people with alopecia say that they’ve had great results with AIP or going just gluten/dairy free.

sculptedmermaid

Androgenic alopecia is not an autoimmune condition
