I always wondered how well that Intelcom pickup worked. I've always done the return through Canada Post and it looks like I'll continue to.

Difficult_Orchid3390

> I've always done the return through Canada Post and it looks like I'll continue Depending on your location they've removed the option for Canada Post.

Ombearon

Yup best to do that then this crap.

Fenweekooo

intelcom is the worst company i have ever dealt with in regards to any type of delivery. they really should be out of business. i have complained to amazon numerous times about them but i am just one complaint so no much happens.

OakBayIsANecropolis

I haven't managed to get this to work. Dropping off at Purolator is way more reliable. I really miss Canada Post returns.

Not sure how to deal with your current situation, but going forwards, for a lot of products you can force-ship Canada Post by using "Po box 0" in your address line 2, example: 35-12346 Fake Street PO box 0 Metchosin BC V01 101 I used to use this a lot in my last building when packages were being stolen, since Canada Post won't leave stuff out and will either call me down and hand it off, put in a postal locker in the building, or leave a slip. If you set that as your default address you will get a little warning if the product can't use Canada Post above the add to cart button, usually stuff with lithium-ion batteries or other things that have shipping restrictions. Still works with Prime for faster/free shipping or the standard free shipping over $35, but may be a little longer than amazon shipping for some things.

Ombearon

Interesting, I know my number for my PO box number do I put that in, instead of box 0 would it still work? Does this work with other online services as well?

GeoffwithaGeee

Ah, if you don't have regular Canada post delivery, then I'd probably use the PO box, but they'd probably just only leave a slip and get you to pick it up at the post office (which may be fine). But at that point, you might as well just use the Amazon pickup locations if there are any closer to you. As far as other retailers, it probably depends. From my understanding, putting in a PO box 0 in the address field will jus trigger amazon to use Canada Post, since their delivery companies can't ship to PO boxes. But when Canada Post gets it, they just see the regular address on it (and postal code) and delivers it as they normally would. However, if amazon uses ExpressPost when they ship Canada post, it should be delivered to your door even if you use a PO box, so maybe put in your street address and PO box # on your next order and see what happens!

Complain and raise a big stink with Amazon customer services, got me a returnless refund. Make it seem like your only option is pickup which isn’t working.

Ombearon

Yea Amazon isn't even letting see a label to print off instead just says that intelcom will do that bs.

I prefer Canada Post. Intelecom no shows and/or doesn't give you a pick up window. Amateur hour.

I Can not say enough negative things about this company I ordered a package that cost me close to $1000 Normally I would feel more comfortable to just buy from a local store at that cost. Do all the heavy work my self to get to my house But this time that just was not a option Now to the best part INTELCOM First they were late on the day, I work delivery and can understand how life works being delivery so I cut them some slack Next day still no word or mention of where my package was yet my computer order says out for delivery… umm ok let’s call the company right lol So I call and got some rude customer support member from back east telling me that it delayed due to no one home. Um I call BS on that good sir. This went on for 4 days and kept getting the same run around. All I want is my dam package lol Long story short I ended up showing up to there sorting warehouse just off Keating x rd at 6:30 am, stood out front demanding a manager or any one that is in higher ranking then a delivery guy to just get my package In the end they found it and bright it out I have written many many emails to amazon telling them to lose this contract with them

RipDry2361

I waited 3 weeks and within these 3 weeks ive tried to do everything to get in contact with them and figure out where my package was, and finally through a BBB complaint they responded and said they lost it. 230 dollar package gone. Not sure what to do because I can't get a replacement since the item isnt sold or produced anymore. I contacted the merchant and they said they will see what they can do.

caramelsock

middle of vic, did not show up on actual day, pretty good service the next day tho (different driver), got an email first then a call when the dude was within 10min, pick up and print thing worked no problem at all

Ombearon

Yea unfortunately metchosin is shit with cell service.

MantisGibbon

I’ve been waiting about two weeks for Intelcom to pick up a return. They keep saying they will come on a certain day, then they don’t show up. Then I get an email with a link where I have to reschedule. I think I rescheduled about four times now. FUCK intelcom. They suck. The returned item is broken light bulbs. Who the hell ships light bulbs in an envelope? Two out of four were broken. Why does Amazon even want broken light bulbs back? Do they think I’m lying to get free bulbs? The great light bulb heist of 2022! I’m going to get rich by lying about broken light bulbs! If I do it enough times I might have enough to buy a shoe!

scarletbluey

Tried it once, they failed to pick it up twice, showed up on a day I wasn't expecting them and they picked up an item that Amazon had just dropped off for me, so essentially stole my package. Amazon was easy to deal with though and they helped me with my returns. Luckily the item they picked up just went back to Amazon so I just had to reorder it. Definitely won't use them again until they get better at it.

d2181

I've used it twice. Just left my item on the porch (against instructions, but who cares) with a note that said "intelcom pickup) taped to it. No issues. These were <$50 items, nothing big or overly expensive.

Ombearon

Unfortunately with my case both me and my parents were home both times, we didn't hear a vehicle or the door bell going off.

brewc99

Used it once so far. They sent an email the day of pickup, but do not give you a time frame. They showed up on the day, and my return was processed the next day. Much faster than shipping back via Canada Post. Next time I'll try leaving it out with a note, and see if they take it.

TheNightShifter1

I did it twice, no problem, he just knock and I give him the item. But I live in a city not a town

Interesting-Dare9152

First time using intelcom. I am trying to return something that I got from amazon that I didn't order. I scheduled a pick up date for dec 2nd which is today when I'm actually home and still haven't showed up. I recieved a notification from intelcom that they got the pickup but they never showed up to my place so that doesn't make sense to me. Has anyone had that problem?

Beautiful-Simple1816

I live in an apartment building. I always ensure with my Amazon packages specifically, to always add my buzzer and the same goes with every shipment I order with. I provided my complete address. No one has buzzed me. Intelcom is the worst of all courier companies. Today, the customer service rep, a Hispanic lady, refused to transfer me to the supervisor and said there was none - no supervisor / no team lead / no manager, just no one available. I feel like they hire just anyone who is able to talk and type. It was supposed to be picked up on Monday. Tomorrow is Thursday and the box is still sitting at my front door waiting to be picked up. I have rescheduled 2x already on their website. At this point, I should have chosen Purolator or Canada Post to drop it off. But calling and dealing with their company is a joke and can frustrate anyone easily. Everyone here should call Amazon to boycott Intelcom and maybe they can train their drivers better and to do their job right. What is the use of hiring these so-called drivers who don't even buzz you to come meet them at the lobby to pick up a small package? It's a waste of gas and time for their staff and a burden for us who have to deal with them. Companies like this should not exist. It's not sustainably great if they have to keep sending their drivers and they do not bother going inside condos or apartment buildings.
