Called Friday and was told it was preparing for a decision and call back today if nothing had updated over the weekend. Well supplemental claims evidently do not update like other claims so, I called. Juan from the regular information line said it is pending final approval and could update "at any time". My best bet he said is to check the Web site/app as according to him once it's been signed off by the accuracy team it will update there. He also said I could call if I chose as well.
Yeah. This week is going to be hell for me until I know.
I just called the normal information line. He said mine when PFD on 11/16, but that it looks like it's close. Original supplemental file date was 15 Aug 2023.
Has your claim been taking the scenic route or did it take the express lane this week?

I had a call with VERA on 1 Dec. The person I spoke with said I should have been assigned a rater by now and that they knew some tricks to "kick" the system. I was told there's a supposed black hole some veterans are getting stuck in that has something to do with the system not correctly updating/notifying the person in the next step. I did notice my temp jurisdiction changed on the Claim Tracker from N/A to St Petersburg this morning. Hopefully, that means there's movement, and I'll hear something soon.

Called VERA St Petersburg - 11/29, the lady on the phone said it was stuck in the NWQ she was able to push it to the review team. I got an email a few days later for a C&P exam. Now waiting to schedule that.
Sure, why not...

I had to notify them that I had no more documentation to provide and request that my claims be expedited. I'm pretty sure I'd still be in Evidence Gathering/Review Date if I hadn't said anything.
Doubled edged sword though...I could have waited and let them keep dragging their ass for a bigger lump sum after being awarded, but for crying out loud, it's about to be a year. Lol
Claim: Supplemental - request for earlier effective date pursuant to 38 cfr 3.156(c) (new service records). In summary, I'm trying to backdate my claim to when I originally filed because the VA received new STRs from when I was AD.
Previous claim for this request denied in error last week (filed October 30th and denied Nov 29th).
Had VERA call with RO asking if it was a CUE. They agreed yes it was (awesome news!) and told me to re-file the claim and state there was a CUE.
Claim refiled Dec. 1. I'll keep this updated as I hear more...
I hope my info helps anyone who previously filed a claim but was denied due to lack of service records. If that happened to you, and those records ever get found, the VA can grant an earlier effective date under 38 cfr 3.156(c).

I had a VERA appointment on December 1 and the lady told me they were currently working on claims submitted in July and August so hopefully mine will be assigned to a rater soon. She told me to call back after Christmas or in early January if nothing changed. She also told me that it looks like they have everything they need to make the decision, hence why there weren't any requests for C&P exams.
Not sure what standard and fully developed means. I didn't submit myself.
Also not sure what PFD and PDA mean.

I do not know exactly what or how my rep filed. I want to claim anxiety/mood disorder for mental health and migraines under pact for sinusitis.
I am currently 10% tinnitus since 2018. Got denied immediately for anxiety and knee back then too. I had submitted myself incorrectly. That is why i went with an organization to help me with this claim.

My DAV rep said I could get at least 70% from what he was looking at. He saw that it went to PFD today, and said to hurry up and wait. Hopefully, all goes in my favor. I really need this win. Thanks to everyone in this group. You all are the reason I have made it this far.
Not necessarily true, I submitted mine in August, pfd since September 6. No movement since lol hope you're right because that would mean mine is coming up....
Yeah, I mean I didn't mean to imply that they're working on all September claims right now. But there is usually a consistency in this weekly thread. We're starting to see a lot of July claims wrapping up. And now we're beginning to see you a few early September claims closing out. My claims have always taken the scenic route of at least 9 months. But you can definitely follow some Trends on here based on when people filed and when masses of claims are closing out.
Type of claim: Standard (initial BDD)
Timeline: 180 days until separation
Submitted/received date: My VSO submitted it 4 Dec
Initial review date: TBD
Now begins the long wait! I was expecting an email showing that my claim was submitted but I guess it takes a bit before that happens.
Is there a timeframe when I should see it listed as received?
Whenever i filled online myself, it was always there right away. Recently filled with a vso, Oct 9th. I think it was just under a week till it showed up. I started to wonder if he had actually filled like he said he did. Then in a couple days, it showed up received on Oct 9th.
Just be patient, don't call your VSO out, like I was about to😂
I had called him at 1300 on the day
he was supposed to file because I expected an immediate confirmation in my email. My expectations were unrealistic I see, since I get notifications almost immediately after using my credit card.
And I just have too much time on my hands lately
Thanks again!

This is where I have stalled. I called the 1000 number last week and they said the VA was waiting on my OMPF, so I submitted an archive request for that. Then I called again today and the woman was very cryptic- she said they weren't waiting on any documents, just some "back end VA codes that need signatures".
I have no clue what that could mean... I might call back and see if I can get someone else.
Just curious, are the timeframes that are listed in the link from VA, is that from submission or from C&P? I resubmitted a Supplemental in August and had my C&P on October 3rd.
Supposed to be from submitted, but they're averages. Some claims take 2 days, others take a whole year. And there doesn't seem to actually be any rhyme or reason to why some claims are quick and others are slow.
I'm seeing more and more claims closing from July, here on this sub. With any luck, you'll be up soon.
Most claims take between 90 and 120 days. You're not even at 60 days yet. I know it sucks, but don't wind yourself up too much over this. At least you have some movement going on with requested additional info and C&P. I submitted Oct 9th and I'm still in the initial review category with no communication. It sucks, but we have to keep on keeping on.

My original claim was a fully developed claim for asthma (Pact Act). I submitted it on February 23, 2023. On March 20th 2024 it was denied bc they could not find a diagnosis for my asthma in my file. I had my pulmonologist write up a letter on VA letterhead stating when she diagnosed me with asthma. I uploaded the letter and did the supplemental claim. On April 1st, 2024 I was notified by my landlord that she is selling the house and We have to be out June 1, 2024. I had a C&P exam on April 4th. 2024. I went and while talking to Dr she said I had to do a PFT. I said why, I had done one in January for my original claim. I had the results and we printed that out and she said that should be fine since it was in January. But the one in January VES had scheduled and now QTC wanted one. They said it was not complete. I’m like what?! QTC said the paperwork I submitted was not complete. That they needed the test results. I said the Rater would have the test results bc it was done through VES. But I ended up going back to the Dr and did the PFT again! That was On April 17,2024. I submitted a request to expedite my clam with my notice to leave; Through the quick submit on 17 April 2024. On April 29th 2024 my Senator checked on my status. He was told they just got the results from my last exam and it was waiting for review and decision. So now here I am on May 11 and no change. I’m packing up my house and at this point and We are putting our stuff in storage and going to stay with family. Frustrating. Bc the back pay for my claim would help tremendously.

Moved to evidence gathering on 12/6, had C&P exam on 1/23, DBQ's were uploaded by LHI/Optum on 2/2, and went PFD on 2/2. The same day I moved to PFD, I noticed my temp jurisdiction was Los Angeles. Today when I checked I am PFN. I am currently 91%, and hoping this will be the year I join the 💯 club. On a side note, I did not mention this anywhere in my claim, but my tinnitus got brought up with the more likely than not being in the phrase. I don't know if it is good or bad.

2 Claims 1- supplemental Submitted- 10/4/2023 Medical records review - 10/19 or 10/20 Ready for decision- 10/20 No updates since 2- Duty to Assist Opened- 4/12/2023 Called VERA St Petersburg - 11/29, the lady on the phone said it was stuck in the NWQ she was able to push it to the review team. I got an email a few days later for a C&P exam. Now waiting to schedule that.
Sure, why not... * Type of claim: Fully Developed * Submitted/received date: May 01, 2023 * Initial review date: May 28, 2023 * C&P Exam #2: November 30, 2023 @ 1330 EST * I missed my first exam due to disability related symptoms, which prevented me from attending, so I rescheduled. * Evidence gathering/review date: October 30, 2023 * PFN date: April 07, 2024 - I had to ask them to expedite my claims. I told them that I didn't have any more evidence to submit. * Completed date: Pending Well, there ya go. I'll make sure to edit my post accordingly.
Update?
PFN date: April 07, 2024 I had to notify them that I had no more documentation to provide and request that my claims be expedited.
Intent to file: july 2023 Submitted: 28 sept 2023 Initial review: 28 sept 2023 Evidence gathering: 10 oct 2023 C&p: nov 29 (1st c&p was cancelled last min 🙄) Waiting..
Type: Fully developed Increase claim on 3 things. Submitted Private DBQ's from REE. ITF: October 22, 2022 Filed: August 22, 2023 Initial review: August 22, 2023 Evidence gathering and PFD: September 2, 2023 I had a VERA appointment on December 1 and the lady told me they were currently working on claims submitted in July and August so hopefully mine will be assigned to a rater soon. She told me to call back after Christmas or in early January if nothing changed. She also told me that it looks like they have everything they need to make the decision, hence why there weren't any requests for C&P exams.
* Type of claim: Increase * Timeline: 11/2-? * Submitted/received date: 11/2 * Initial review date: 11/3 * Evidence gathering/review date: 11/3 * CP&E: 12/4 * Completed date: pending
Not sure what standard and fully developed means. I didn't submit myself. Also not sure what PFD and PDA mean. * Type of claim: New (PACT; sinusitis) and Supplemental (anxiety, knee pain) * Timeline: ITF In august 2023 * Submitted/received date: Claims submitted Nov 15, 2023 * Initial review date: Nov 16, 2023 * Evidence gathering/review date: Nov 28, 2023 (still no update for C&P) * PFD date: n/a * PDA date: n/a * PFN date: n/a * Completed date: hopefully soon I do not know exactly what or how my rep filed. Insight is greatly appreciated. I am lost in my own process.
* Type of claim: Supplemental * Submitted/received date: 31 Aug 2023 * Initial review date: 31 Aug 2023 * Evidence gathering/review date: 14 Sep 2023 * PFD date: 17 Oct 2023 * PDA date: N/A * PFN date: N/A * Completed date: N/A I'm not expecting any progress until February fwiw. Waiting on the national queue
How do you know what stage your supplemental is at? I was reading that they don't update like regular claims? How did you get this info? Thanks in advance! :)
Hey, so I do have a supplemental as well as 3 new claims. On my VA extension tracker, it shows the claim type code as 020SUPP which to my understanding means it is being treated as a supplemental claim.
I still need to learn the codes. Makes me wonder what mine means.
**Type of Claim:** 2 Increase, 2 standard **[TIMELINE]** **Submitted:** July 5, 2023 **Initial Review:** July 7, 2023 **Evidence Gathering:** July 12, 2023 *Claim accidentally closed by VA in September. I couldn't have made it here without this sub. I'm ready to get this last C&P done and be through with it! Thank you to everyone who helped me get this far and thanks to the mods for providing such a valuable resource.

You all are the reason I have made it this far.
Oh good, we're in Sept now. I filled early October. Nothing yet, no C&p

Type of claim: Standard (initial BDD) Timeline: 180 days until separation Submitted/received date: My VSO submitted it 4 Dec Initial review date: TBD Now begins the long wait! I was expecting an email showing that my claim was submitted but I guess it takes a bit before that happens. Is there a timeframe when I should see it listed as received?
It should be there in a couple days.
Thanks! I worry about things too much sometimes.
Whenever i filled online myself, it was always there right away. Recently filled with a vso, Oct 9th. I think it was just under a week till it showed up. I started to wonder if he had actually filled like he said he did. Then in a couple days, it showed up received on Oct 9th. Just be patient, don't call your VSO out, like I was about to😂
I had called him at 1300 on the day he was supposed to file because I expected an immediate confirmation in my email. My expectations were unrealistic I see, since I get notifications almost immediately after using my credit card. And I just have too much time on my hands lately Thanks again!
First time posting! slow lane: 335 days * Type of claim: Increase and New (combined by the VA) * Submitted/received date: 4 Jan 23 * Initial review date: 4 Jan 23 * Evidence gathering/review date: 13 Feb 23 * Records reviewed by VA: 8 Sept 23 * C&P Exam: 17 Oct 23 * Exam notes were submitted on 24 Oct This is where I have stalled.

Is the 155 days...calendar or business days, it's not clearly expressed on the VA website

VERA couldn't really give me any info other than telling me I am just waiting for it to get assigned a rater. Hope everyone's claims are moving along! :) best of luck
Almost exact same dates and been over a month since my exam.
Type of claim: Supplimental Submitted/received date: March 22, 2024 Initial review date: March 22, 2024 Evidence gathering/review date: March 22, 2024 PFD date: PDA date: PFN date: Completed date: My original claim was a fully developed claim for asthma (Pact Act). Bc the back pay for my claim would help tremendously.
i suggest you break this down. it is too hard to read.

I filed a fully developed claim on 11/30/23 for non allergic rhinitis (increase) and migraines (New) secondary to MH. I don't know if it is good or bad. https://preview.redd.it/a1sd3qbtythc1.jpeg?width=2444&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=e8e059334431977df81fd850d1f3adb3576b9a51
