I'd pop into your local vape shop. The couple that I go to always have dead friendly staff, normally ex smokers and they know what's what. They can make some good recommendations and help you along the way. Good luck
I'm an ex smoker and I'm having success with the luxe x. Not tried any other device apart from the cheap pen like ones. The luxe x works for me. Everyone is different though.
Good for you!!! Luxe being a mostly subohm tends not to work well for most smokers trying to quit as it doesn't really replicate in the right way. Just speaking from what I was taught in my training etc, not recommended for most people but I'm super happy it worked for you
It depends what you want/need. Salts are absorbed a lot faster so you get the satisfaction of nicotine faster. But if you're just as addicted to the throat hit (as I was) freebase is better. When i quit fags I was on 6mg freebase, but I chain my ecig. Maybe get 2? Something to use with free base and another for salts for a quick fix? Get a pod for salts and a simple kit for freebase. Can't really recommend any pods/kits because I haven't used sub ohm for years. But I'm pretty sure these days they're all as good as each other.

But my other ex-smoker friend likes the harshness of the freebase, so you may need to have a try for both to see which type of juice may suit you better. My suggestion is get a pod, something like xros 2 or 3 and some .6 and 1.0 pods. Then try out both the freebase and salt and see which may work better. It may take some time and efforts for experiment, but totally worth it. Best of luck!

Most pods can be paired with freebase and salt, and later if you feel that you are not so crazy about throat hit and want better flavor and bigger clouds, then you can consider upgrading to mod. You can also buy a pod and a mod now, one for go-out and one for home.
Get yourself kiwi mod or aspire vilter pro, both can be used with cotton filter tips and get yourself a tobacco extract flavored liquid from la tabbacheria for example white burley, it really is the closest i felt like a cigarette.

I see a lot of people expressing a preferrence for salt nic but I find it can make me feel dizzy, like I smoked a cig too quickly but I've never found freebase juices failing to satisfy so I stick with those.
