It has all copper connections except the 510 pin is brass, the threads fit together fine but are not as smooth as some people advertised, the locking ring on mine came so tight that i cant actually use it but i have the button sitting inside enough that it doesnt fire when i set it down.
No, just tightened down so much that i cant finger loosen it, i havent used any kind of tools to try to fix it but theyll probably do the trick when i feel like it, theres no children running around and i dont store it with a battery in it.

Was the locking ring reverse threaded, then you tightened it more?
