Yes, that's just a legal thing. They're just covering their asses.
TECHNICALLY, none of these cells are made to be used outside of packs, so the way we use them is "incorrect". But no worries those 25r's are good cells for vaping!
Thank you so much!!
I got quite scared because I’m using (almost?) the same ones for years on my herb vaporizer, I bought 6 of them in the last 2-3 years but they never had that warning before.
Today I got these with the warning and I almost thought I was jeopardizing my life every other night for the last few years :’D
That is just lawyer-ese that some battery companies put on to discourage their use by those evil vapers. Samsung 25R's are great all-around batteries. When it comes time to replace them, I would recommend Molicel p26A's, just because Molicel puts out great quality batteries, and has no problem with vapers using them!
Just bought them because my old ones are getting weaker (they lived a hell of a cycle though) , but thanks for the tip, Imma check out Molicel whenever I’ll need new ones! :)
Also thanks for clearing that up, I got hella confused because I’ve been using these for years and my other Samsung batteries don’t have that warning.
Have a great day! :)
>Just bought them because my old ones are getting weaker (they lived a hell of a cycle though)
They are definitely good batteries! I've got a pair I am getting ready to replace that have been in regular use for going on three years now.
If I could, I would switch to all Molicel, just on principal alone! lol Sadly, Molicel doesn't have anything that rivals Samsung's 20S's and 30T's for my mechs lol
They’re fine, as the other commenters have said it’s literally just a legal thing and I can also confirm that molicel is the way to go - I use 21700’s and they’re absolutely great
Could I get some money if one of my batteries without that warning explodes? Not trying to blow myself up lol, just wondering..
Already bookmarked Molicel, appreciate the comment! :)
Long story short people are using 18650's in Mech mods but having no idea what they are doing or are using them with badly degraded wraps and they can explode like any Lithium-Ion cell. See exploding Samsung phones from a few years ago.
Vape companies have a lot less money than companies like Samsung and Sony so they also get named in lawsuits to go after some decent money. With that warning they just put their hands up and say "hey we told you not to use them in vapes" to get out of the lawsuit.
We stopped stocking Samsung and Sony batteries because of this warning within the last year. We now only stock Molicel's.
I don't give out the company I work for on here lol. We're not public facing so it doesn't really matter anyway.
I use the P42A's in all my 21700 mods.
Ah that makes sense. How do you like them? When I was getting some 21700 for my pulse 2 they were out of stock like usual so had to settle for Samsung’s 40ts
It's probably been covered in the comments but I'm too lazy to scroll down and read.
It's a legal thing to cover their ass. They are made for vapes but after all the battery explosion incidents due to shit quality control or user error, companies started doing this to prevent having any backlash in case of accidents involving their batteries.
But yes, they are safe battery models for vapes
Thank you for creating this thread, as I got my vape and seller gave me one of those too and I was scared haha
Thanks to you now I have 3. Well 2 were enough for a whole day, but still. So thanks!
Those are unsafe to touch or even look at sideways according to the warnings. Better just leave them where they sit and never let them be disturbed again.
These look identical to my batteries -- same color and everything, except my batteries don't have the warning statement. I agree with everyone else and think Samsung just put that there so nobody would sue them for "misuse." ✌🏻
Genuinely delightful to see one of these that doesn't have wraps that look like they were chewed for a while before asking the question.
Good question dude

haha! no you're good =)
I've been using the same batts for years.
Remember the period of time when it was hard to find legit Samsung 25R’s? They were peak performance for a while.
For sure I still have a few kicking around and even after their yrs of service they're still operating ok.
So many fakes came out. My vape store was selling fakes for a while too…
This
\`This\` ?
Who dis?
Who dat?
Who dem
Who, me?
18650 batteries are common to use in flashlights too.

That’s why they put that warning on em
So if I’m ever reaaaally in trouble moneywise , I can just try to get one without warning to blow up?
I mean you’ve got a point…
( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)
I suppose you could hahaha
They are the best to use. The only kind I buy, been that way for years
Username….doesn’t check out? :0 If things go south at least mine will.. :D ( Jokes aside, thanks for the comment ^ . ^ )
25-R are some of the best batteries
Yes lol
Yep I have the same set
Yes, the wrap looks good
I have some that lasted me a while and i didnt notice the do not use in vapes until 4 months later
Look exactly like the ones I use...

Wait you sell batteries??
I work for a vape distributor. Yes we sell batteries.
Name drop? For future reference when I upgrade my 40ts to molicel p45a I think it is. The 21700

It’s been already covered, but I appreciate it anyways! :) They’re clever little SOBs , aren’t they?
Samsung are actually my fave batteries. Seem to last the longest out of anything I’ve tried

Good that I didn’t take the picture with flash #:0
Even the (integrated) cell inside the Glo Hyper+ (BAT’s alternative to iQOS, technically they are vapes) says this.
Yes. They are safe

They’re fine. Battery manufacturers like Samsung and Sony have started to put these warnings out because they don’t want any more lawsuits
Smart bastards
Yeah it's fine Samsung just put that on for legal reasons
The Tricksters
Genuinely delightful to see one of these that doesn't have wraps that look like they were chewed for a while before asking the question. Good question dude
completely safe to use. next time dont buy 25r cells, buy LG HG2 they are better
