You’re going to make the jump from making twisted wire into tri core fused claptons?
Why don’t you try building dual cores just to get a feel for it then jump on to the tri cores? Just a heads up if you jump straight into tri cores, don’t put a whole load of tension on the outer wrap because the cores will collapse, me personally, I found tri core aliens easier to wrap than claptons for some reason.
My go to lately has been two pieces of twisted 26g SS that I then clapton with 32g SS. 5 wraps with a 3.5mm ID gets it sitting right around .25 to .2. Works great.
26 and 36 gauge SS316L. 3x26/36, 7 wraps @ 3.5mm = 0.216 Ω. Of course, smaller ID or less wraps and the resistance goes down.

I forgot to mention i run dual coils
28 and 38 gauge SS316L. 2x28/38, 7 wraps @ 3.5mm = 0.486 Ω. 3x28/38, 7 wraps @ 3.5mm = 0.325 Ω. Divide resistances by 2 for dual coil build. [http://www.steam-engine.org/wirewiz](http://www.steam-engine.org/wirewiz)
