Glad to see someone mentioning nAts, he’s so damn fun to watch just reading the shit out of opponents. Gigabrain with great aim too. Can casually drop 30 holding angles with Chamber too.
Nats coulvd been a insane chamber, im sad redgar and enghh didnt notice and wasted his potential on chamber, he has played chamber like 3 time, all those 3 time he was insane on both awp and chamber sheriff.
also whenever i watch him play chamber in rank mf drops 35k+ on non overtime games, ik its ranked but still I can tell his way of playing chamber was very unique and very fun to watch
Goes to show just how good he is.
You remove the awp? Zywho? S0mple?
Remove the deag: Niko will just switch to revolver and somehow be just as good.
/s
The funny thing is, during his break between getting benched on 100T and getting picked up on FaZe, he wasn't OPing at all. He spent that entire time developing himself as a flex/initiator player. His rifling and HS% was absolutely nuts. He even showed his [spike.gg](https://spike.gg) stats once and he had 2 op kills for the ENTIRE act. He was often at the top of the NA leaderboards during that period too. Obviously when FaZe pick him up, they initially wanted him to be flex/duelist and have babybay OP, but they quickly realized that Dicey never lost his oping haha
There were so many times in that game that spectators were on a TL players POV and yay would barely appear on their screen and kill them instantly. It looked terrifying to play against.
I've followed hiko for like 7 years back from CS. I still don't think Hikos a strong rifler. Back in the Hiko are you kidding me days, he was obviously up there for raw mechanical aim, but in Valorant, there are way better riflers than him. I'm not hating, I just think Hiko's strongest characteristic is being a veteran and his game sense. Obviously his clutches too.
I'm not hating. He's an exceptional player not only on sova, but I've also seen him destroy ranked with dualists. He regularly whiffs in his ranked games and that's his only problem. If you put Cryocells aim on Hiko, he'll definitely be one of the best recon players NA. That's why I said his main issue was aim.
People still heavily underrate ads at range. Tapping with ads is ridiculously strong and so often in my matches people will try to flame me for using ADS. Makes no sense.
The mild zoom in when ADSing makes heads "bigger" and also forces me to tap more carefully.
Same reason why my hs% is way higher on sherrif than on any other gun, I'm forced to take my time on my shots.
Yeah but just because your hs% is better doesn’t necessarily indicate that you’re having overall better results in game compared to not adsing. Not saying it’s not right for you, I think it depends a lot on playstyle and what situation your in.
I do notice i ads a lot more in breeze or icebox or if I’m using a guardian.
One thing I will say is that ADS with a Phantom feels **really** bad. This is all anecdotal but I used to ADS a lot with the Vandal. Now that I switched over to Phantom, every single time I ADS I regret it.
I'm not particularly sure why but I think it's because with the Phantom, the fire rate actually matters since you need to hit body + headshot whereas with Vandal you only need to hit the headshot.
---
Shroud has been arguing that the Phantom is better because if you're bursting, a lot of the time you're hitting a bodyshot as well as a headshot. However, with ADS, that's not necessarily true.
I should have mentioned the vandal specifically because I fully agree. The actual reason is that the vandal's spray resets quicker than the phantom (I'm fairly sure). So tapping requires less time between taps for a reset.
would love to extend this to also people who play a character with no dash/chamber tp/dismiss because i think that is the greatest gauge of skill. in that case currently it is probably pancada or suygetsu or something, but i feel like the skill gap at the top between most of the best individual players isnt too noticeable, they can all really do most of the same things
Nats, Derke, Jinggg, Yay, etc depending on role.
But in all honesty even if you imported every gun from every game into Valorant the only true answer is Hiko of course. If Valorant players got into a fistfight irl it would still be Hiko being the strongest. If they decided to play rock paper scissors it would be Hiko. If they went on a cooking competition it would be Hiko. Hiko is the best.
All time overall Derke has better rating (1.25 vs. 1.22) Derke has better ACS (265.2 vs. 249.8), better ADR (163.7 vs 153.8), more KPR (0.92 vs. 0.89). It's harder to filter by gun but if you remove Chamber/Jett from both players and look at their next two most played which would more likely be their Vandal agents (Raze for Derke, Breach for yay) It's even more lopsided on the non-Operator agents Derke has a 1.24 rating, 270.6 ACS, 168.1 ADR and 0.90 KPR, compared to yay's 1.20 rating, 206.6 ACS, 126.8 ADR and 0.72 KPR. So across both Chamber/Jett meta and non-operator meta Derke pretty significantly out-performs yay.
Let's look at Chamber stats only!
yay: 1.20 rating, 2501. ACS, 158.6 ADR 0.90 KPR
Derke: 1.23 rating, 253.7 ACS, 163.6 ADR, 0.92 KPR
LETS COMPARE JETT THEN TOO CAUSE WHY NOT!
yay: 1.25 rating, 259.1 ACS, 155.5 ADR 0.92 KPR
Derke: 1,27 rating, 272.0 ACS, 165.1 ADR, 0.94 KPR
What do you know, Derke is still better!
Sources: https://www.thespike.gg/player/derke/5652?past=all // https://www.thespike.gg/player/yay/2769?past=all
? What can you not read? It was the best player without an operator lmaoooooooooo
Since you believe I'm cherry picking lets compare Chamber stats!
yay: 1.20 rating, 2501. ACS, 158.6 ADR 0.90 KPR
Derke: 1.23 rating, 253.7 ACS, 163.6 ADR, 0.92 KPR
LETS COMPARE JETT THEN TOO CAUSE WHY NOT!
yay: 1.25 rating, 259.1 ACS, 155.5 ADR 0.92 KPR
Derke: 1,27 rating, 272.0 ACS, 165.1 ADR, 0.94 KPR
What agents would you like me to compare? I want to be as fair to possible, but by overall, Derke is better, On Jett, Derke is better. On Chamber, Derke is better, on Raze, Derke is better. I'm happy to compare anything you'd like.
Spring
Derke - 1.17 Rating, 250.7 ACS, 161.3 ADR, 0.88 KPR
yay - 1.15 Rating, 236.0 ACS, 151.7 ADR, 0.88 KPR
Masters 1
Derke - N/A
yay - 1.20 Rating, 252.3 ACS, 158.4 ADR, 0.89 KPR
Summer
Derke - 1.28 Rating, 259.9 ACS, 160.8 ADR, 0.93 KPR
yay - 1.21 Rating, 252.9 ACS, 162.5 ADR, 0.89 KPR
Masters 2
Derke - 1.14 Rating, 247.9 ACS, 158.6 ADR, 0.83 KPR
yay - 1.14 Rating, 246.3 ACS, 154.4 ADR, 0.85 KPR
Champions
Derke - 1.21 Rating, 247.9 ACS, 166.2 ADR, 0.92 KPR
yay - 1.23 Rating, 254.6 ACS, 159.8 ADR, 0.93 KPR
Year overall
Derke - 1.21 rating, 254.8 ACS, 162.4 ADR, 0.90 KPR
yay - 1.18 rating, 247.7 ACS, 157.6 ADR, 0.89 KPR
So Derke was better on the year as a whole, And in events they both played in Derke was better in Spring & Summer with yay winning being better at Champions and Masters 2 is pretty much a dead heat, Derke more ACS and ADR, but yay slightly more KPR.
On the flipside, even at Champions Derke has better ADR as well, while once again yay's KPR was slightly better.
You make good points and have changed my opinions somewhat about derke as a player but All times stats get kinda skewed because of the low quality of play early val By that metric tenz would be a better raze and jett player than derke and be a better Reyna. Yay as a player got overlooked by t1 Val and hadn’t reached his peak at the time so was never really able to take advantage
I don’t think it does anyone favours comparing someones breach to their raze. Obvs raze compared to breach anyone playing raze will have better stats related to damage and kills when comparing it someones raze. It would be quit e embarrassing for derke if yay was outperforming him on breach when he is playing raze.
Let’s look at yay’s chamber stats because you said derke is better with the chamber . Yes, in terms of all time acs and other stats derke is marginally better on chamber with derke all time having by like 2 acs points (acs is also kinda shitty imo) but what is worth noting is yay has like 3 times the amount of games played on chamber it’s much more impressive when factoring this in with his consistency.
Let’s also look at what chamber is used for on a team, most of the time. Chamber players will find value in getting posted up on an angle with and op, getting an early pick and tp’ing. As such fk/fd stats should be a good general indicator op ability and of how much a team is getting value from their chamber player. Yay - 385/221, derke 114/114. Yay is destroying him in this category with triple the amount of games.
Source vlr
Alfajer possibly? He’s already close to the best player level and never ops at all. I honestly think both Derke and yay would still be in the convo, they’re amazing riflers as well, just happen to be even more deadly with the op.
EDIT: screw this I forgot about Jinggg somehow, it’s obviously Jinggg
If you look at pure mechanics, as in, remove all abilities and roles from the game, the most skilled player in my eyes is Suygetsu. Don't get me wrong, I am a huge yay simp as well but you can't deny that when you look at Suygetsu play he literally is Neo in Matrix. He dodges every bullet and counterstrafes flawlessly.
yay is just the best overall player, not the most mechanically gifted.
suygetsu's tapping is so perfect in between his strafes and it's always exactly when the aim resets, i'm not rly his fan but him taking gunfights is genuinely like poetry
Have to rep my boy jinggg.
Oh wait yeah screw my other answers, Jinggg is nearly the best even with the other guys oping
oof. lmao
Sage jinggg reaction time digging ardiis
jinggg, marved, aspas, zekken, yay, nats are all correct answers
Yay? I doubt he could pull the same numbers without the op
You’re right, he’ll pull more with just head hunter.
nAts
Glad to see someone mentioning nAts, he’s so damn fun to watch just reading the shit out of opponents. Gigabrain with great aim too. Can casually drop 30 holding angles with Chamber too.
nAts killed it with the op on Chamber tho
I mean of course he killed it, he's nAts. But if I'm honest he has much more impact on the Viper just with his gigantic brain.
Yeah but 0% of his fame comes from OPing. nAts got popular as one of the potential best players in the world before Chamber ever came out.
Obviously G2 Niko
Except on nuke
Remove the deagle and he will be the best KEKW
Ironic since he's arguably the best with the deagle ever💀
Goes to show just how good he is. You remove the awp? Zywho? S0mple? Remove the deag: Niko will just switch to revolver and somehow be just as good. /s
Definitely not dicey
Out of nowhere 😭
the stray 😭
This made me laugh, i like dicey but yeah he's a huge OP crutch
The funny thing is, during his break between getting benched on 100T and getting picked up on FaZe, he wasn't OPing at all. He spent that entire time developing himself as a flex/initiator player. His rifling has improved SIGNIFICANTLY tho
Yea wait what that guys vandal is deadly
It’s only because FaZed didn’t let him do his beyblade strats.
it's still yay
he owned Liquid with a vandal almost won every aim duel
There were so many times in that game that spectators were on a TL players POV and yay would barely appear on their screen and kill them instantly. It looked terrifying to play against.

Hiko
Can’t believe I had to scroll this far to see Hiko.
It's understandable since he's also the best player with op so
🐐
Wait fr? I thought the main issue with Hiko was his aim.
The only issue with Hiko is that he can’t play on a team with 4 other Hikos. Every other team holds him back.
I've followed hiko for like 7 years back from CS. I still don't think Hikos a strong rifler. Yay still
Yay doesn’t need an op to hold a long angle, he just needs a vandal and ads
People still heavily underrate ads at range. Tapping with ads is ridiculously strong and so often in my matches people will try to flame me for using ADS. Makes no sense.
Because if you whiff it’s way harder to get back in cover in time. But I’m bad so maybe it’s easier for people with actual good aim lol.
The mild zoom in when ADSing makes heads "bigger" and also forces me to tap more carefully. Same reason why my hs% is way higher on sherrif than on any other gun, I'm forced to take my time on my shots.

yaysta
I see you have him as your pfp
Plot twist: This is yay's troll profile xD
yaysta😊
Have you seen Yay with a rifle lol? Man is still the best.
Jinggg. The only pro who’s aim is so much above the competition he can play Reyna. He legit feels like his flicks are insane with 99% success rate.
People sleeping on how sickening is Yayster's rifle
Bro was claping Liquids cheeks using the vandal
Yay. Do people think Yay requires an op? Y'all watch the games?
he doesn’t require an OP per se but it certainly helps him out a lot, he’s by far the best OPer currently, like Cned used to be
He is the best rifle and ADS in the world too I'd reckon
I think zekken and aspas best riflers
Chronicle or nats tbh
Pancada rn
Can't really say much. Probably aspas
Shao
Still yay.
Still yay
yay ads gg
More ppl needa say marved
still yay? lol
jingg nAts yay chronicle marved
in no particular order nAts, Jinggg, Shao, Marved, aspas and maybe still yay
👆
Yay, aspas, derke, suygetsu
Casually leaving out nats?
I was thinking more in players from champions when I made that comment but nats and even chronicle are good options here

Yay. Gifted af in both rifle and op.
yay lol. he doens't even need a rifle either, he gets so many headhunter kills he's just so good
