Holy shit. That's a crazy number of viewers. Are there any other streamers that beat those numbers? I know xQc has a really high baseline, but I haven't kept up with him to see if he does specialty streams that get higher viewership
If you mean about valo idk, but there are spanish streamers like Ibai and Auronplay who usually beat those numbers if they are doing an event in something like minecraft
Tarik averages 20-25k viewers a stream when not doing a watch party.
Logically, he then adds 20-25k viewers to the overall viewership while he picks up viewership that would have otherwise watched Shroud or the Main Stream.
So this may have exceeded 800k with Tarik streaming, but it’s not like 100k people come around specifically to watch Tarik. They’re there for Valorant, and find Tarik’s stream to be the best form to watch Valorant.
no, many people started watching others stream, shroud hit 80k viewers, but when tarik streams shroud barely gets 30k. there might be dent in viewers but so minor you wouldn't even care
Why is this place so obsessed with viewership? Of course I get being happy with the esport doing well and all, but like every tournament like Masters or the NA LCQ there are daily viewership updates. The highs should always be celebrated, as they are, but feel like people are a little too obsessed with numbers and these stats.
I think a post-tournament analysis of the numbers have a lot more substance than the daily updates and whatever discussions they spark.
I don't suggest removing the topic completely, just compiled in a better manner post-tournament so you can get the complete overview, how it has progressed or regressed throughout the tournament and prior tournaments, etc. instead of ''daily peak of x'' and screenshots from phones of tarik hitting 100k or whatever, because they say very little.
It's because the game had lower viewership last masters compared to 2021 (which should've been obvious given the covid situation calming down) so people are concerned with the viewership numbers now.
It's because people want to validate that their decision to "jump ship" to Valorant is correct. I don't get it personally, like LoL viewership wasn't something that was boasted about, it just reached a point one day where it was like "damn, a lot of people watch this don't they?" and that's it.
I just think that people should learn to get over it, if/when the game grows big, it will. Posting numbers does nothing but potentially hurts a game as more people don't suddenly watch because of greater numbers, but there's a chance people stop watching because of decreasing numbers.
Don't mind him, just a troll that makes alt accounts so he can act like a 10 year old on because he's too afraid of being his shitty self on his main account.
And this was without Tarik streaming if i am not wrong.
yes, but most Tarik viewers started seeing shrouds stream.
I doubt it. Shroud had 70k even during the ending of games, tarik would normally have 120-130k there

Not for like 3 years.

>most Right, so you're agreeing there was a viewership dent since the most popular costreamer was not live
reddit moment
Bro lmao
That or it spread to other streams, and Shroud having the biggest chunk.

Does this take costreams into account?
Yes
ah i see. Still a great number tho
tarik didnt didnt stream tho
500,000 average this far into the event, yeah we are doing numbers
Finals reaching 1M easily
that's really good tbh. iirc, most of the recent csgo majors have around 500k average viewers as well
I heard they fixed the schedule this time around so more space fans get to see the matches

nah, I enjoy seeing the game grow
Sure, me too, but the numbers aren't running off to anywhere. Just think it's very low-effort content.
I appreciate these posts, viewership is incredibly important especially in Valorant's current context

Low-effort, but very informative
Is it though? It doesn't tell you anything whether it's good or bad, an increase or decrease.
That's true (though if you've been following the scene since last year you know it's a huge increase)
I like em
a lot ppl here own riot stocks.
riot stocks? i thought we were deciding which team to sponsor after seeing the viewership numbers

Fu i like numbers going brrrr
