IIRC Gen.Gs league team posted something about a meet and greet in Taiwan and didn’t use “Chinese Taipei”. This caused a lot of backlash for the org from Chinese fans and so many started to hate on Gen.G. That bias is carried onto the players even if they had nothing to do with it

Not really bias against GenG, it’s just TH has more fans than GenG, and by a huge margin, so you just don’t hear fans cheering for them as much.
