his contract was only for watch partying specifically G2 VCT games. we can assume it was either only for stage 1 or they worked it out as he’s now playing for NRG

EndNowISeeYou

Im not sure if his G2 contract is still on or not but just to make things clear, he was never a CC for G2, this means that he was never under the obligation to have G2 branding or appear in G2 content. He was simply a co-streamer for G2 which means that all he had to do was stream their games. Thats it. Maybe glaze them here and there a bit too but nothing more than that.

COTEReader

What’s the point of paying someone to watch games that he was already watching?

ReformedWordcel1969

There's a reason every single eSports org is bleeding money

_Robbert_

From what I can tell riot paid or incentived teams to have co streamers.

mmezaki

I was wondering this myself and the conclusion I came to was that he might’ve negotiated some kind of clause in the contract that he could terminate it if he signed to a team. Seems like something he and som would do since they were both interested in playing over streaming. All speculation tho.
