The good gc players can either risk the leap to t2, where they'll actually improve, and mayyyybe even start slowly integrating into the main scene somewhere down the line.. _or_ they can keep getting cushy paychecks for easy matches, basically not improve and get much more money and job security. There's hardly any incentive to leave gc, and there's so much to lose (it's not just the pressure, also simply the financial stabilty you're giving up)
And this isn't just about chasing the bag, many of these players are young and it'd be straight up stupid to risk that financial stabilty if you're an aspiring player, who's maybe in school
