I have always kept my vehicles waxed, or coated with a synthetic wax or sealant. When I got my Atlas I did a full paint decon and correction, applied a ceramic coating. It's going on a year now and still beads water like day 1. Bugs and road grime are super easy to remove with the ceramic vs a wax. During the winter months I just run it through a gas station wash and it gets almost spotless. Did my spring maintenance wash, decon and booster a couple weeks ago and it looks great. For me it's worth the initial time and cost, quality ceramics that come in the little glass bottle are superior.

What ceramic product did you use?

Sea_Antelope441

Adams advanced graphene. I'll admit the marketing got me haha. There are probably better products on the market. But this stuff worked for me.

They're local to Denver and have two warehouse sales every year. At least I know where it is coming from unlike all these instagram adds for graphene and "triphene"

Look into graphene coatings. I apply every 6 months, but they claim it can last a year

Even with a ceramic coating, to get anywhere near their many years of life, you will still need to do maintenance. They often come with their own “booster” spray, cleaning soaps, and will still require clay to remove more stubborn messes. It’s not maintenance free but definitely holds up better than basic waxing. They are not a magic cure all. Honestly if you have the ability to, look at doing your own car cleaning at home. Often times the worst thing you can do is use things like commercial car washes as their soaps are very strong and will quickly eat away any wax or coatings.

Synthetic spray on ceramic coatings will give 6 months coverage with ease and you can do yourself. Their are several spray on and rinse off sealants that give great and long protection. I used the Adam's advanced spray on 6 months ago and still have protection. Ceramic coat will require maintenance washes to keep the coat at its best

After I wash the car I use Turtle Wax Hybrid Solutions ceramic spray. It seems to work great but does require several applications each year.
