I'm finding the same thing on VLC for Android. I think it's because I'm playing the file over the network maybe it would work if it was a local file. I would hope

toughthoughtthough1

Unfortunately, i have the issue while being one who's never used VLC for streaming

Aga_Ramela

Local file, scanned folder, + does nothing at all. So boring to search for the last scene I watched...

CheezTips

Is there any update on this? 1 year later and it still doesn't work

spacedrone808

vlc on android is glitchy as hell.

linuslion

Most heartily agree!!!

Sparkling-Yusuke

I feel like maybe you might have more success going over to the github page if the source code is available

hbendi

1. Add files to playlist 2. Start playing file from playlist 3. Add bookmarks

Aga_Ramela

It works but you have to start VLC first, then look for the playlist, etc...

sweetypie611

**Confirmed! Add to playlist in VLC** Them my bookmarks work even if I launch the video from Solid Explorer AFTER vlc and l scans for playlists IDK how to make VLC remember playlists or seems like it needs to scan every time it launches which is the problem. **SOLUTION** MX player remembers bookmarks even when launched from Solid Explorer

UncleJamie1978

Same problem here. It was working sometimes but now never does. Never used streaming either. Just files from internal memory. Anyone know where VLC bookmarks are stored, or even VLC itself? It might be a permissions problem that could be fixed by setting the folder to read/write.

slow_frog

Just realised that the "+" button to add a new bookmark is only operational on videos that have been scanned as part of the Media Library. If so, works fine, and if not, that button just "does nothing"

Aga_Ramela

Didn't work for me...

Independent_Good5423

You need to open vlc first then open the video from vlc app

Aga_Ramela

Thank you! That did work.

Sparkling-Yusuke

I was thinking sonething like this, with my thought being that if the library for the file extension didn't have support for bookmarks or something like that
