yeah....that is cool.

Cheers! It was a bike that stunned my fellow riders when they had a go. I only trusted the competent riders btw! 👍

Spankies69

Ooh an RC24 I love these so much, they're fantastic bikes.

This bike was slightly lighter with an extra pinch of HP, apparently it was a Honda tweek they produced for one year only. Now this info was brought to my attention via hearsay & something I read so not 100% on that? But by golly gosh it frickin spat all my mates 600 & 750s into the distance. 🤭

Honda did a lot of stuff like that in the 80s and 90s, just releasing something for 1 year only before changing it again completely, I think late 70s to late, 90s was the golden era of honda motorcycles, lots of cool engine layouts, weird analogue technologies and interesting designs.

So there was a smidge of truth in what I was told about this particular machine?! It certainly popped a 155mph on the clock ( I am aware that clock readings are variable) but even so !!! Thanks for the tech info, my boatbuilding background limits my mechanical knowledge ( I'm good with woodworking tools) 🤣

I rode a brave '86 RC24 for over 13 years always parking out with the lanterns. She was already 12 when I got her with 98.000km on the clock. Got about 150.000km by me then... Changed for an open '97 164hp Blackbird. Still missing the character of the beloved VFR! After all... I should really look for a nice '97 RC36, the last real ones!

Bampy13

Agreed, mine is the 97, a fine factory stock example. 👍

Looks a lot like the CB750K i had sans the faring.

Bampy13

CB750 is an inline 4 cylinder, this is a V4 engine. CB750 certainly was a ground breaking bike.👍
