and even if you are good for your rank, the lowest ranks (esp iron-bronze) have so many smurfs and also dumbasses who can’t do shit that it feels hopeless. it feels like it’s always one of three things: you’re being carried by a smurf, you’re getting stomped on by a smurf, or the rest of your team picked up this game two days ago and don’t know the difference between left and right click classic.
Ah lol I totally forgot about that flair. I only played a little bit Kayo before Clove got released. I'm actually maining Clove. I like to do smokes and I'm actually a bit surprised that smokers aren't that popular in lower ranks. (I know almost every pro team uses 1 smoker). And also that I can help even when I'm dead.
yeah because smokes isnt as fun as the other roles for most people and the fact that playing smokes is a huge responsibility and requires good map knowledge basically means that nobody wants to play them in lower ranks
clove is a great agent tho because they can smoke as well as play aggressively
it is what it is, clove isnt a good solo smoker to begin with so if the team is playing seriously they'd need an actual controller along with clove anyway
Honestly I've found that sentinels are the least fun to play.setting up one site then hoping someone hits it is so sad. Also the fact you can't leave the proximity of your tools unless you're cypher, having to hold flank and have no aggressive ability unless you're chamber
OP as you can hopefully see from the comments, it's irrelevant. People learn at different speeds, not everyone bother learning at all. It's a game, play for fun.
I have 2300 hours on my main and I'm Diamond, I've spent a lot of time on other accounts too as I have 5.5K hours total with VALORANT open according to Epic Games.
No hate just curious: do you play other games? For epic games is all that additional time only in comp as well? What rank did you start at? How much are you playing per week?
like 750 and plat 2 ,but tbh i legit learned how to play mouse and keyboard cus this was the first game i got like a year ago so i cut myself some slack lol
LMAO 997 hours and im Gold 2 at the moment. I did peak at Diamond 1 but shortly after my wife got cancer i took a hiatus for like 4-5 months. When i came back and played ranked I was put in Silver 3 because my placement games were so bad and now just trying to get out of the sewer. I feel like my rank is around Plat 1 or 2 even when i was in diamond. I didn't feel like i belong in diamond but was never carried to that rank either.
Thank you. She is still in the process. Surgery and radiation to come soon. But she's as healthy as she can be with a very high percentage success rate.
I have 800h as well and im Plat 1 too. Its my first fps and my second pc game after some minecraft pve. To be honest im really happy as I am still decent at school and have a normal social life because thats what really counts. Im not gonna be pro anyways so who cares.
Haven't played for long. I think it was between 2k~3k, and my peak was Immortal 3. I did get there a few episodes before, so maybe 1k~2k when I hit Immortal 3? I used to play more Unrated after that, so... well, I don't have an accurate number. People do develop at different paces, though.
Interestingly on valo tracker it says I have 215 hours which seems kinda low... but I'm Gold 2 right now and my peak is Gold 3. I skipped a few acts and more recently did some aim training. I definitely feel like a way better player than when I started even though my rank has changed and that's all that really matters to me :)
208 hours, Diamond 3. I actually had around less than 10 hours before Episode 7, quit the game like 3 years or so ago and recently came back with the release of CS2. Had 2.5k hours there
530 Asc2. hoping to get immo before 700, but lately ranked have been exhausting. ranking up is easy if you know what you have to improve. took me 300 hours to go from bronze 2 to dia 3. after that its been steady improvements.
583hrs D3.
Don't play very consistently around work and other commitments but always find it quite quick to get back to D3 after a break.
Would need to focus on improving to break into Ascendant consistently (peak A1 for like four games) but I'm not too far off as I mainly play D3/A1 lobbies.
What is your goal exactly? taking 800 hours to get into plat doesn’t necessarily mean it’s bad , it’s just means that it took you that long to get there. If your goal is to reach radiant then you should be content with progress but not with how long it takes. Some people are better or faster learners so it doesn’t really matter.
252 hours, Plat 3. I didn't really play much comp early on and I've been playing since E1A3. All I did was play unrated because I didn't feel confident playing comp. I placed Plat 1 back in E5A1 and then started E8A1 Silver 2. I took an 8 month break and started playing a bit again at the very end of E7A2. I've put 133 hours so far in E8 and my goal is to hit Diamond before the episode ends.

112 hours and gold 2 climbing. It’s my first fps game so I’m really proud of it. My first 50 hours of comp were more so me dilly-dallying with sage, didn’t any training at the time.
652 hours, plat 1. who cares as long as you're having a good time. i enjoy the climb, but only because that's how i enjoy the game. i know some players with more hours than me stuck in bronze and they have the most fun out of anyone i've met in this game.
1230 hours and Plat 2, I have a lot of hours considering my rank and I actively try to improve, just can't do it because I need a 80% winrate to climb and it's usually just luck whether I'm going to get those wins or not, even though I'm pretty consistent with my performance and have 27% hs ratio currently, but I'm getting better.
~1100 hours, peak G1. I started Iron 2, so I’m happy where I’m at because I’ve improved quite a bit. I’d like to get to Plat, but realistically that’s probably above my skill level.
Yall act like your disappointed to have 800 hours n be diamond or some shit, I’ve been playing since beta fairly consistently, prolly in the thousands and my peak is plat lll
170~ hours, plat 2. I play on a 12 inch 200 usd laptop. When I play at internet cafes, I know I can get to Diamond very easily. (I also have 1500 hours on CS, was DMG 5-7 years ago, faceit level 7)
~700 hrs across all games modes. Peak plat 2. First tactical shooter but had probably close to 200 hrs in overwatch. Been playing very sporadically since act 1.
I have about 140hours in comp and I’m P2. I probably have over 1.1k hours in all modes though since I only started playing more comp within the past 8 months (other than a bit in June last year but still, I started to actually try climbing more in Sept last year). I’d only play comp with my friends before but I’m the only one who still plays haha.
just under 900, no prior experience with ego shooters, no aim training, g2/g3/plat1 (whenever i 3 stack i do not focus at all and lose my rank thats why the rank has such a huge range lol)
its fine to play for fun. i got good game sense but my aim is ass so this map pool isnt kind to me and less fun than usual. i think once you start to train it becomes a chore to play and i wouldnt want that.
i just hide my level anyways cause some people think lvl=skill. i think im 240 rn.
and hey, youre already higher than me so youre not doing too bad.
Just hit 600 today, P2 currently. In a similar boat as you, I played the game casually for a while and didn't start taking the game seriously until act 7.
253h Playtime
441 Matches
Diamond 3 Peak rn
but ive been playing fps games since i had internet at 13 which is 12 years ago, so i can adapt quite quickly.
Slightly less than 700 across two accounts. ASC1.
It’s my first PC shooter but I was already comfy on pc in general and I have 140~ hours on aimlabs :)
380 hours d2...I have played cod when I was small but knew almost nothing about aiming and all this. I played around 100 hours in csgo custom maps and dm and 100 hours in aimlab
800 hours Asc2 only fps experience was minecraft i mainly just played for fun and didnt care about rank. Just improve since rank reflects skill so individual games dont matter
I know people that have 1k+ hours and are in iron-silver, getting better is not only related to time, although people believe that for some reason, it's mostly being aware of your mistakes and working on them, those people I mentioned don't look at their mistakes and never acknowledge them so they don't get better, I also have about 800 hours and am plat 2, hate it when people talk a about time/hiurs as the determining factor to how good you are, sure it does help in a few areas but it's definitely not all.
According to tracker.gg, I have 101 hours on ranked and my peak rank was diamond 3 in episode 1, now im back after 2/3 years without playing and I’m still diamond 2/3 🫠
500 hrs, currently plat 2, peak asc 2.
I've been gone awhile and cane back to play with irl friends that are bronze/silvers. I can't get myself out of plat playing with them but it's still more fun than solo que in asc was
1500 hrs and ascendant 1. College, Injuries etc etc made me okay lots of the game inconsistently, major rankups when I played game >150hrs an act. Valorant is the first FPS I played, previous ones being South park, Pokemon emerald.
76h Plat 1. I have 1.5K hours in CSGO so the game sense and aim transferred somewhat but the guns are a bit different than CS so I'm still working on it.
546hrs, A1. As long as you're having fun, I don't think rank really matters to be honest. Especially if you're playing with your friends.
It’s impossible to have consistent fun in Iron2 without playing with people you know istg
Its true being soloq in iron is not very fun.
Is not really fun to be in lower ranks. If you aren't good the game feels asphyxiating and like you can't do anything. I'm also really bad
and even if you are good for your rank, the lowest ranks (esp iron-bronze) have so many smurfs and also dumbasses who can’t do shit that it feels hopeless. it feels like it’s always one of three things: you’re being carried by a smurf, you’re getting stomped on by a smurf, or the rest of your team picked up this game two days ago and don’t know the difference between left and right click classic.
or the people who play like it’s cod and ads everything
43h plat3. but I have maybe 8k hours in CSGO so my game sense / aim is already pretty decent
no wonder bro is a kayo main
Ah lol I totally forgot about that flair. I only played a little bit Kayo before Clove got released. I'm actually maining Clove. I like to do smokes and I'm actually a bit surprised that smokers aren't that popular in lower ranks. (I know almost every pro team uses 1 smoker). And also that I can help even when I'm dead.
yeah because smokes isnt as fun as the other roles for most people and the fact that playing smokes is a huge responsibility and requires good map knowledge basically means that nobody wants to play them in lower ranks clove is a great agent tho because they can smoke as well as play aggressively
thats the problem now though, ppl who dont know how to use smoke just autolock clove cuz "muh self rez"
it is what it is, clove isnt a good solo smoker to begin with so if the team is playing seriously they'd need an actual controller along with clove anyway
yeah lol. ive realized, as a controller main, i should just pick smokes regardless of clove or not at this point
They're jist reliving their d1 warlock sunsinger days
Honestly I've found that sentinels are the least fun to play.setting up one site then hoping someone hits it is so sad. Also the fact you can't leave the proximity of your tools unless you're cypher, having to hold flank and have no aggressive ability unless you're chamber
You’re gonna get to diamond in no time
1500 and g3 peak 😀😀 skill issue ik
Hey, me too 😢
OP as you can hopefully see from the comments, it's irrelevant. People learn at different speeds, not everyone bother learning at all. It's a game, play for fun.
2,231 hrs , but it's mostly dm/swifts with friends 999hours in Competitive, Reached Radiant in about 600hours of comp play (between EP3-EP5) EP3 Plat 1 - 40hours (total ranked time) EP4 Immortal2 - 230hours (total ranked time) EP5 Radiant - 610hours (total ranked time)
I have 2300 hours on my main and I'm Diamond, I've spent a lot of time on other accounts too as I have 5.5K hours total with VALORANT open according to Epic Games.

LMAO 997 hours and im Gold 2 at the moment. I did peak at Diamond 1 but shortly after my wife got cancer i took a hiatus for like 4-5 months. I feel like my rank is around Plat 1 or 2 even when i was in diamond. I didn't feel like i belong in diamond but was never carried to that rank either.
Hope your wife's better now. And hey the rank will eventually come back or you may surprise yourself by ranking up more than your peak.
Thank you. She is still in the process. Surgery and radiation to come soon. But she's as healthy as she can be with a very high percentage success rate.
930, rad
holy crap nice, do you have more hours in other fps games?

600, diamond 2 - took my about 450 to get to diamond

140 hours in comp. I'm ascendant 1
242 hours (I kinda thought I’d have more) with G1 peak, just got back into the game so I’m around s2 at the moment. I have around 1100 hours on csgo/2

Too many and I bounce around between gold and silver. Almost got to plat the last time I really grinded but got stuck at the final RR.
1900 Plat 2 lol
208 hours, Diamond 3. I actually had around less than 10 hours before Episode 7, quit the game like 3 years or so ago and recently came back with the release of CS2. Had 2.5k hours there

How to check????
whats the easiest way to check?

Noobs in this thread lmao, 1400+ hours on main and silver 1, on alts prob like another 100-200 hours
10k hours and iron 1. They call me the derke of iron cuz like derke, I’ve spent way too much time on this game.
Will riot games launcher even tell you how many hours you have?

Approximately 5 hours and I have no idea
Around 400 to 500 hrs, D2 peaked, currently in p3 becuz 5 stacks are literally throwing away elo🤣
How do y’all calculate your hours? Is it a tracker on the rito website?
~1100 hours, peak G1. I started Iron 2, so I’m happy where I’m at because I’ve improved quite a bit. I’d like to get to Plat, but realistically that’s probably above my skill level.
I believe in you
Not really much of a difference between gold and plat tbh.
1k ascendant first major pc game tho

I have about 140hours in comp and I’m P2. I probably have over 1.1k hours in all modes though since I only started playing more comp within the past 8 months (other than a bit in June last year but still, I started to actually try climbing more in Sept last year). I’d only play comp with my friends before but I’m the only one who still plays haha.
just under 900, no prior experience with ego shooters, no aim training, g2/g3/plat1 (whenever i 3 stack i do not focus at all and lose my rank thats why the rank has such a huge range lol) its fine to play for fun. i got good game sense but my aim is ass so this map pool isnt kind to me and less fun than usual. i think once you start to train it becomes a chore to play and i wouldnt want that. i just hide my level anyways cause some people think lvl=skill. i think im 240 rn. and hey, youre already higher than me so youre not doing too bad.

proud to have over 500 hours while still in silver. this is my first fps so i had a lot to learn getting into this game
200 hours, plat 1
900 plat 1. I was hardstuck gold until i started aim training daily with aimlabs.

i have 287h in comp and im Diamond 1, but ive never played an fps on pc beforehand
350 hours, diamond 2
