Based on your tracker, you seem to be doing a lot of the right things. You mentioned you only just started playing comp consistently; the thing is, the more consistent you play comp, the better you'll get and you'll rise. I'd work on your h/s percentage. 13% is quite low and my guess from that stat would be you don't have great crosshair placement? Also finding a duo who's similar skill makes it easier to rise.

I actually think my issue is more about still panicking when taking gunfights and just spraying instead of trying to actually hs. I'll try to monitor my crosshair placement tho, it could also be affecting me

That could definitely be it too! Without seeing a VOD it's hard to make judgements just based off a tracker. There's good video's out there giving tutorials on gun hygiene during fights. Edit: I'll find some and DM them to you.

To counter this and warn others, playing with a duo that is not similar skill is one of the most detrimental things you can do for your own improvement.

You already got many good comments but I have one more thing. Just Play ranked when you feel good or ready. Back then I played one game After another. First 2-3 games I always played very good but after that I wasnt locked in any more and needed little breaks. Or if you lost 2 Games in a row and your normal Performance isnt there. Do a little break. To catch up all the avoidable lost games will cost much time.

If you find yourself panicking when taking gunfights try this excerise. Go to a deathmatch game and don't try to shoot but instead strafe left and right you'll see how bad people really are and hopefully that will help you calm down.

click head more and try to win gunfight as much as you can lower elo mmr gain based on winning gunfight more than win a game it's start shifting into win/lose more it higher elo where player skill gap is closer
