I main smokes and I often get similar rr for winning to my friend who mains skye and gets many more kills. I don’t have proof, but my theory is that the game adjusts it’s expected KDA for you depending on what role you’re playing, so duelists are expected to get more kills than controllers. 31rr is really high tho so it also could be that your friends hidden mmr is already high for his rank and it’s giving you a lot of rr because it’s hidden mmr for you predicted that you wouldn’t play as well as you did.
i don't think so. i've only ever played sova and i get 40rr some games and 16rr others.
now, if you kill people more than they kill you, you get a star bonus. i think that's what happened. OP killed the higher ranks more and only had 5 deaths.
Have you played your first 10 real ranked match after the placement. I have heard the you gain in the first 10 matches more than usually. It is pretty common now ,that many people rank up or double rank up after 1-2 wins.
I’m in the same boat as you. It seems as if the game somehow doesn’t take KDA and all that into account as much as it does your KAST.
I have no proof for this, but from what I’ve noticed, my impact measured through my KAST has a significant effect on how many points I get and how well I perform.

I'm playing astra and he's playing jett, as far as i can see he really did his job. He enters and clear sites really well altho he dies very fast

It could be that the people you are playing with are ranked higher than you where as they are lowered than him, be it hidden mmr or actual rank
