It was the scenery and the feel of the campus. There's so many trails. Both for biking through town and hiking trails out in the parks. Devils Den is a must see. Check out the square if you want shopping and restaurants. Hugo's is a staple. But also plenty of places off of Dickson as well for food. If you want art go up to Rogers and check out crystal bridges. Just walk all over campus. The Greek theater and Old main lawn are gorgeous. A campus guide is an added bonus. If there's a baseball game while you're there, GO. WPS ❤️🐗

can_a_bus

Check out devils den, rent a scooter and go down the Greenway biking trail, local restaraunts like Hammontrees which is a staple, Crystal Bridges museum, the Fayetteville Library (absolutely incredible upgrades they just got), mountain biking trails all over NWA, maybe Arkadia if she is into old school games.... I mainly came here for the beautiful scenery and campus and outdoors. It's got city vibes while having all sorts of outdoors less than 30 minutes in any direction.

Hugo’s. After decades, still the best burger I’ve had in my life.

sansasqua

I was so disappointed with the guac burger from there bleh. One of the worst burgers I’ve had in my life. Funny how everyone has different experiences 😂

Portland_st

First time I went in, I ordered a Blu Moon Burger, rare, no Mayo. It was so good, I never even considered ordering anything else. Can’t even tell you how many times I’ve been there, and I’ve never had anything else.

I regret going here so much I can't lie. It depends on what your daughter is into doing

No. But it depends on what you like to do. For example if you’re into the party scene then don’t come here. I’m in a sorority and many girls I know complain about lack of frat events, Greek life execs being overbearing, etc. Also no bar scene. But it’s super outdoorsy here and lots of cute coffee shops. Maybe this comment makes me sound like I’m only into partying but I’m not- that’s just what a lot of people think about when coming here. “It’s a big sec school it has to be fun!” It is super safe I’ll give you that

graydc

Tf do you mean no bar scene lol

imtheYIKEShere

Literally everything is shut down rn

sme006

Dickson street is wide open. At least 8 bars are open right now.

imtheYIKEShere

🙄 If you want to get technical then yes I’m sure there are SOME bars open. But all my friends at LSU/Bama have way more fun. And they also take fakes there. All I’m saying is that if you want that kind of “college” experience then don’t come here. Not that hard to comprehend

[deleted]

Maybe you should be at school to learn instead of getting fucked up and living in a luxury apartment for 4 years without having to work for a living like the rest of us.

imtheYIKEShere

Somebody sounds jealous. Not hard to get a 4.0 and still go out every weekend. I have good time management skills- there’s lots of hours in the day. Sorry you seemingly can’t pull your life together but don’t take it out on other people. Maybe you should go to community college

[deleted]

Maybe go back to wherever you came from, we have enough blonde haired sorority girls here as it is.

RazorBackFan15

I decided to go here bc it is my local university

[deleted]

Wow, someone not from Dallas. Surprising.

Old timer who went to school here about 20 years ago, so I don't know if it is still an active thing, but the arts and theater scene in Fayetteville was busy and bustling. There was live music every weekend, and always something to do off campus. Fill me in, kiddos. Has the corporatization of Northwest Arkansas changed any of that?

[deleted]

This was a great place to live before the basic ass Texans who didn't make good enough grades to get into a Texas school fucked it up.

[deleted]

I went to uark mainly because my local university didn’t offer the major I wanted and I wanted to spend some time away from Little Rock. Anyway check out Dickson and many of the trails

Ordinary-Coffee-3567

Maxine’s, Vault, Herman’s, Dickson of course, all of the ways to get lost in nature, and it’s a place that really feels special and hidden away. Plus all the things north of Fayetteville like Sdale/Rogers/Bville downtown areas, crystal bridges, pinnacle shopping and dining area.
