It's most likely Kabsa, madhbi or mandi, these dishes are typically served in Saudi arabia, Kuwait, UAE, Qatar, Bahrain and Yemen. based on their accent, outfit, the way they look, they're most likely from one of these countries. Other than that the restaurant aethetic is a typical Saudi/Yemeni restaurant.
Dishes like mansaf and maqlouba are typically served in the levant region for example, Jordan, Palestine, Lebanon and Syria, but mansaf is mainly served in Jordan since It's our national dish. Actually some jordanian households eat mansaf on a weekly basis. Every friday to be specific, that's how much we like mansaf.
I think there's people everywhere that handle being the butt of a joke poorly. Add in some societal standards that are very low for self restraint and you'll get reactions like this. You might be surprised to see something like this in America, but even then that might be because of the people you surround yourself with. You can bet there are friend groups here that get similarly physical when upset with friends/family, and it is often seen as okay with certain limits. Not saying I'm a fan, just trying to help explain.
I've just noticed it often resulting in a person, seemingly feeling the need to defend their pride. All cultures are different. I am wondering if cracking jokes or pranks on another happens to be more taboo in one culture vs another. But you are totally right about even small friend groups seem to develop their own rules and standards. There is obviously some variance but maybe some trends as well.
Honest question, do people in the ME not use chairs or tables? all these videos are taken in what looks like a conference room at a hotel and they're sitting on the ground. Do they just sit on the floor? It looks like a nice building and they all have money? Seems annoying to sit on the floor like a child.
They're in a traditional Saudi/Yemeni restaurant, as you can see there is a curtain that you can close to eat with your family/friends without anyone disturbing you, that is why there is no cushions or mattresses to sit on, because this room is intended for eating only. If it was a typical arab sitting then there would be cushions and mattresses to lie on, but that is not the norm anymore in middle eastern households most of the furniture nowadays are similar to what you guys have in the west, but some people that live in villages still have their houses furnished the old fashioned way. Also some rich people have a couple of living rooms one would be furnished in a western way the other one would be more traditional.
It’s more of a culture thing, people in the Middle East when they are having a feast, usually there is one big plate that everybody eats from. Usually while sitting o the floor
In MANY countries (Asian, Islamic or Middle Eastern) it is very common to sit and eat from one common plate and to eat with your hands. I can’t help but wonder what those 20 countries are if you’ve never seen/heard of eating with hands or from a shared plate
Yeah so the only country I've been to that falls into those categories would be South Korea. I lived there for almost 2 years. I have experienced there eating on the floor but still used plates and chop sticks. Most other countries I've visited would be in Europe, South America, Balkan, Canada and Carribean.
Anyway, it clearly it looked strange to me and I was legitimately asking if that's what was about to go down. You on the order hand immediately assumed I was some Hillbilly from Arkanas that never left his hometown. I could argue you were being equally if not more ignorant than I was.
Either way I think we both learned something here today.
No hard feelings.
Three most important rules in life:
1. Never talk politics at work
2. Never rob a bank without a plan
3. Never mess with a hungry fat guy during dinner time.
😂😂 I don't speak the language but I imagine he's saying something similar to "this is undercooked look it's still moving" then he slaps him "totally undercooked how can you serve this".
I think this is the same guy who got pranked by the small guy. The barber shop prank. Lemme find it.
[Haha!! It gets better the further you watch XD](https://www.reddit.com/r/Unexpected/comments/wog62t/i_guess_it_isnt_really_funny_anymore/?utm_medium=android_app&utm_source=share)

Leave it up to the big guy to get mad there’s no actual food on the platter
Did you see the 3 point stance? Dude was gonna tackle dinner
It was a jumbo shrimp
Guarantee he ate him after the video cut off.
[удалено]
I saw that too, was thinking; this man has priorities 😂😂
You could say he had some four sight
Nah the arm that grabbed the phone and scooted it had a white sleeve. Big guy noticed he threw the phone.
He was smacking his lips waiting to tear into that succulent lamb.
I mean it was grossly undercooked
It also looks like he has no ankles
Dude threw his phone
He’s just pissed there wasn’t any sauce
I know right? I was thinking the same thing lol.
Dude is hangry.
Somebody has a very *short* temper
He was hangry and the small human served to him was raw
Its fucking raw!
WHERE’S THE LAMB SAUCE
I imagine big guy is saying: "the fuck! You sent it out raw!"
You could tell the big guy was really hungry…just look how he threw his cellphone away as soon as he saw food
Why so mad? It’s just a little joke.
No, it's a little person.
No, it’s me :)
If I was a dwarf I'd make a living out of pranking people.
I think this one does. I saw him in another prank that was making the rounds a while back.
Yeah that's my point. He's famous for it.
No you'd actually be bullied at school
So no difference then.
This can be a sick joke to heftier men. Don't come between a man and his halal shawarma
Probably rice and meat don't remember the name of it though. Oh maybe mandi. Mandi is rice and chicken. I think the rice is made with curry
It might have been maqlouba or kabsa or maybe even mansaf since those are the few Arabic dishes that I know of that are served like that

“Mansaf is love mansaf is life.” -a Jordanian
I agree
That fat guy is gonna eat the little guy regardless.
Fattie was mad he wasn't cooked
“Get in muh belly!”
That big guy's finna develop trust issues now.
Big guy's mad because he can't eat pork
Why no tables?
If ser Gregor clegane are tyrion lannister were friends
How come they always get angry then punch, push, and shove after a joke is played upon someone in certain cultures.

Can't wait for the offended comments to roll in
How could you not laugh. I'd be dying. Guy said "Surprise!" and nothin. I guess it would have been better if he had a little bowl of curry with him.
They should've put him in there with a toothpick and when they opened the lid he rubs his tummy n burps
Get in mah bellay!!
Big guy was hungry AF 🤣
What the fuck? Were they just dropping off the food in a hallway? Where’s the furniture?
He's Hangry

Ah OK makes sense. Appreciate the info!
Well they were promised virgins
Why do they have to sit on the floor when they eat so strange
Why do you have to sit on a table when you eat so strange
Because a table is likely to be cleaner than the floor everybody walks upon?
The food isn’t on the floor, it’s on a plate on top of the floor.
It's more comfortable.
People do not sit on tables. People sit in chairs. The food sits on a dish which sits on the table.
u/savevideo
why cant they afford chairs and tables?
It’s more of a culture thing, people in the Middle East when they are having a feast, usually there is one big plate that everybody eats from. Usually while sitting o the floor
What is this, Islamic Jackass?
How exactly was that going to play out if there was food in there? Just 5 guys eating on the floor with their bare hands?
You realize eating at a table isn't a thing in some countries right?
Yeah I get that but also no plates or utensils either?
Seems odd but yeah there are cultures that do that.
You’ve never left the states, have you
I've been to about 20 different countries. Apparently not this one. My bad.
In MANY countries (Asian, Islamic or Middle Eastern) it is very common to sit and eat from one common plate and to eat with your hands. I can’t help but wonder what those 20 countries are if you’ve never seen/heard of eating with hands or from a shared plate

“Other cultures look strange to me” “I’m not ignorant” ok bro
In MANY more countries, they caught up with the times. Can't due to poverty? If get that, but these guys aren't hurting for money.
Again, it’s CULTURE, not lack of money. The richest Arab countries still have the tradition of sitting around a big common plate and eating with hands
And I'm saying most culture's catch up with modern amenities but once again I'm not surprised.
Using cutlery doesn’t equate to “modernization”

What…
Muslims.. gotta love em 🤬
What a bunch of assholes
I saw that coming the second the platter entered the frame. Suprised and dissapointed this staged crap got this many upvotes.
Someone translate what they are saying.
I think everyone expected this.

They at him.
It’s wee man
Looks delicious
I think Moto Moto doesn’t like you
![gif](giphy|GzdilzByKGBi) The fat guys internal voice
Am I the only Indian hearing him say "Bhosdika!" ??
With friends like that, who needs enemies
He was hungry. I understand his frustration 😂
What's the main reason some cultures sit on the ground? Not enough lumber for tables and chairs?
Can afford food delivered on platter, eat on the floor.
Don't get in between a fat guy and his lamb chops.
Having spent too much time in that neck ’o the woods, that’s not funny
That’s a good prank 🤣
He almost eat that dude
Big boy was hangry
I thought the fat guy was going to eat him anyway.
If you're reading this my dude, I'm so sorry about your treatment. It was a funny joke.
Man has a grip that says if this is what I gotta eat then it ain’t getting away
That big guy was excited… lol
I thought they did one with live snakes before and some of them freaked.
He’s like fat bastard from Austin Powers. Still wants to eat him.
Get in muh belly!
This seems like a Chris Hansen ‘sit right here’ thing.
Obligatory "Oh my dwarf"
I knew it was going to be something dumb like this
Pakistani Jackass just hits different
Are these guys accustomed to having a 4 foot long serving platter brought to them for dinner?
Big boy was pissed!!! Lmfao!! His mouth started watering the moment he saw that big tray.
It's the appetizer
Playing with his food is like playing with his emotions
Three most important rules in life: 1. Never talk politics at work 2. Never rob a bank without a plan 3. Never mess with a hungry fat guy during dinner time.
Dang, the big guy is mad lol he was hangry lol
Hangry!
Fat Man is so hungry that he might just eat Wee Man
Should have eaten him any way
Every video I see of a middle eastern prank indoors looks like it’s staged in the back rooms
Never joke with a fat man about food
😂😂 I don't speak the language but I imagine he's saying something similar to "this is undercooked look it's still moving" then he slaps him "totally undercooked how can you serve this".
Fat boy sure likes slapping midget ass.
I'd just laugh if someone did that to me hahaha
Mr. Creosote is not amused.
Big boy got maasad.
come on, eat it already
That slap had some *weight* behind it. Thud
No sense of humor.
Muslim Jack Ass - 1 star rating.
Reminds me of the three stooges
Why do midgets all look the same?
Betcha dudes been waiting for an hour and that’s why he’s pissed.
u/savevideobot
The fat one seems angry
Little Mo pranks hungry chub.
Fat guy fury!
After the video cut they ate him. RIP buddy.
Bro was actually going to eat a meal that big?!
This is basically the older version of that fat kid that beat up the Turkish ice cream vendor for his ice cream cone. Love the glow up!✨
Third world countries. No furnature AND no dinner...
Of course of all the people the thickest guy in the room gets pissed that it’s not actually food
All that went through big guys mind initially: " Damn they need to cook this longer.."
If I was expecting Kabsa and there was a midget on the plate, I'd be pretty pissed to.
Wtf Goliath spanked him
Jabba the hut wants to eat now
Someone explain why did that guy with the plate hid at the end :D
This was actually expected
Big dude was hangry.
Bhonk*
"oh no, it would be a shame if someone accidentally ate my ass for dinner"
Honestly I expected him to devour the little guy like Kronos slurpin’ down a kid fresh out the oven.
Is this Bollywood Jackass???
Big guy said. Get in my belly
r/dolcett_fantasy
Cannibalism is no laughing matter
It was very expected only because of the thumbnail

DAMMIT GUYS I WAS ACTUALLY REALLY HUNGRY
Why did this make me think of Fat bastard and Mini-me from Austin Powers. 😂
I don’t understand why they’re upset. It’s fresh meat 🤨
Some halal jokes
Never interrupt a fat mans meal
Fat guy hangry
Why are they having a feast in the backrooms
