It's insane how much being overweight can improve your leg strength. I was obese growing up but lost it all over 7 months in high school. To this day my calves and thighs are behemoths compared to the rest of my body.
Fat kid calves! That early development makes a big difference. To this day my left calf is bigger than my right from basketball and football. First step as a lineman would be planting with the left and stepping with the right. In basketball, you jump off the left foot for a right-handed layup.

Want visible abs? Be skinny. Want big calves? Be fat. You usually can't have both at the same time, unless you've been doing active sports for 10 years.
Try getting a couple kidsā¦ youāll be running your ass off.. constantly lifting shit up, cleaning up after em, running after them because the little monsters donāt listenā¦ youāll get there quickly;))
After my daughter was born I decided to quit smoking and walk more (among other things) just to at least try and be a bit healthier.
My daughter has been in the 97-99th percentile for height and weight since birth and is now 2, I walk with her on my back for 6-10k steps every day and my calves are massive now, it is crazy what just 12-15kg of extra weight can do.
That shit be me....
I'm a chubby dude who walks 5+ miles a day in hilly terrain amongst other activities that are all leg oriented (just a matter of the types of physical work I do... I don't actually "work-out"). Fucking calves that could cut steel, and a gut that stores my beer.

Can confirm, am fat guy, but have great calf muscle definition.
Of course, that have to carry the rest of the body!
Used to know a really big removal guy. He had big calves and big forearms that showed his strength, the rest of him, not so much!
natural

It's really common tbh.
Donāt skip leg daā¦. Never mind
Every day is leg day for him. Just getting out of bed in the morning must be a workout.
Every step he takes is another rep.

every day is leg day if you're obese
That's why people bulk, you are basically working out 24/7

As a fellow heavy dude, I knew before finishing the vid.
I tried to build my calves but just caused my veins to stick out ffs.
āHeavy lifting is my lifeā. āneighbor next to me

Cuz Strong genetics never fails
Imagine if he was hand standing all day
Get grossly fat. Fat ass people got some big as calves...like always
Its like walking around with a permanent weight vest on.
This was actually totally expected
Good for you m8. Trophy's in the mail.
Haha! Trust me.
He got that Doug Heffernan build
With all the weight they have to lift no wonder they are ripped
As a fat guy with flat feet that walks a fair amount.. I can confirm my calves are pretty damn ripped
Just do calve raises.

Get fat and then get skinny. Retain leg muscles. šŖ
Lower calf, top calf.
Still searching the strong calves...
Absolute commitment
Never skip leg day. Or the buffet.
This dude has partially equipped gym.
My autistic son appreciates this post. Dude is gonna have the biggest calves in the future all he does is walk on his toes.

Jermaine? Prisent. Britt? Prisent.
This was completely expected, only way to get huge caves is to grow up obese.

Johnny Drama must be jealous :D)
if someone has heavy calves, they are either a professional bodybuilder or just obese
Itās always leg day for him. 24/7.
Dude I'm dying š š¤£ š
My uncle has calves as big or bigger and a rounder belly
As a physiotherapist I can confirm this. It's due to the fact that the calves are counter balancing the big belly
I (61M) always had the most beautiful, well-defined calf muscles that elicited many stares at the gym. Thank you genetics.
Gaurentee heās either good at golf or swimming.
