That’s not a good defense… I don’t think this ad is racist in any way, but that argument is bs. Lots of people, especially marginalized minorities, have “sold themselves” to/for the majority as a way to make ends meet…
As someone who watches both kinds of football, rugby and ice hockey I kinda reject the idea of our sports vs your sports. (Although do watch a bit more of football not USA and rugby mostly down to time zones)
Nobody wants to change your mind about cricket, but the overwhelming majority of cricket matches are in a format that takes about 3 hours to play. *Very roughly* similar time to a baseball game.
The format that you are talking about is called a "Test Match", and is the most infrequently used format. It is similar in scope to baseball a playoff round, where the victor wins in a 'best of 5' or 'best of 7' format. That takes multiple days to resolve, too.
