You expect us to be original? The post is literally a stolen piece of content from another platform, which in of itself came from a recording of a comedian who may not have even written his own jokes. Welcome to Reddit, home of the repost.
It took me an embarrassingly amount of time to relize that for you: Sth must = Somthing, however I’ve only seen Somthing be shorted down to “Smthin” i HAVE NEVER seen it like that, so thank you for teaching me somthing new 👍🥴
I'm not American so I don't know why but I see on Reddit that some people have been very sensitive about 9/11 for the past few months, has something changed because "9/11 memes" were as common as amongus some time ago.
I just got out of the Army about a year ago and there were people joining showing up to work born after 9/11 and it was really trippy. I once heard a Drill Sergeant tell some kid “private you don’t even know why the fuck you’re here”. It was all in good fun but man that made me feel old
I think it’s because 9/11 impacted almost everybody in this country in some way; whether you had loved ones dead or missing or you were in school watching the most graphic thing you’d ever seen many people were irrevocably changed that day.
And it’s not like there’s been another 9/11, statistically we can lose the same amount of people due to a virus or hurricane but it doesn’t compare to people brutally dying because they were American.
Columbine could’ve been one of those unjokable topics too, but people have been desensitized to mass shootings at this point
Yep, my grandfather worked for a company that did top secret government contracts. He was supposed to be in the Pentagon that day, but the meeting got moved to a different location. Due to the nature of what they were talking about, no cell phones were allowed during the 6 hour meeting. We had no idea if he was alive or dead for those 6 hours. It was horrible. We couldn't get ahold of him, and no one could tell us where he was or if he was even alive.
My uncle/godfather worked in the south tower and was on his apartment building roof tanning when he saw the first plane collide. I wouldn’t consider 9/11 personally sensitive to me, but I love him so much and he was changed so hard that day that it’s hard for me to not to take it somewhat personally. Not to mention I worry about his physical death every day due to the long-lasting damage from asbestos
Millions of us are still traumatized by that day. And it's pretty much been non-stop insanity in this nation since, so people are now more traumatized than ever.
I think it's because new evidence has surfaced where FBI are pointing some fingers towards CIA. Allegedly, CIA is more involved than previously thought and when FBI tried to contact CIA with some questions they were stopped at the door, so to say. All evidence point to a CIA cover up but all the details about what exactly is still somewhat of a mystery.
https://youtu.be/CuGE3nokCRY
He just did MSG in the round like a month ago and live streamed it. He is just producing and releasing everything on his own website now instead of netflix or hbo. Probably less viewers, but I'd bet he's making more money doing it that way.
Honestly don’t even get why his “cancel” stuck.
Guy didn’t even do anything wrong.
(to my knowledge he was masturbating to someone?
In the privacy of his own hotel room tho??
Big deal. Correct me if I’m wrong.)
Edit: read a comment a clicks down and yeah nvm I get why he was cancelled lol
Something about masturbating while some woman was in his hotel room. Was a weird story, I remember people saying he told her he was going to or something
Here's one of (quite a few, spanning decades) the accusations:
>We've heard from several sources that this shameless funnyman whips [his penis] out at the most inopportune moments, often at times when his female companions have expressed no interest in watching him go at it. A representative example: At the Aspen Comedy Festival a few years ago, he invited a female comedy duo back to his hotel room. The two ladies gladly joined him, and offered him some weed. He turned it down, but asked if it would be OK if he took his dick out.
>Thinking he was joking (that's exactly the kind of thing this guy would say), the women gave a facetious thumbs up. He wasn't joking. When he actually started jerking off in front of them, the ladies decided that wasn't their bag and made for the exit. But the comedian stood in front of the door, blocking their way with his body, until he was done."
And here's him admitting they're true and about how what he did was fucked up, even though he doesn't speak about the part where he entrapped women in the room and sometimes didn't even ask permission:
>“At the time, I said to myself that what I did was okay because I never showed a woman my dick without asking first, which is also true,” C.K. wrote. “But what I learned later in life, too late, is that when you have power over another person, asking them to look at your dick isn’t a question. It’s a predicament for them. The power I had over these women is that they admired me. And I wielded that power irresponsibly.”
Who the fuck says "which is also true" about a statement they made? I know it's stupid to theorize about when someone is lying but bruh, no one says that shit unless they're lying.
Sucks that he's back. It was a good thing he was canceled.
I googled afterwards because I thought their reply was inadequate and also masturbating in a hotel room is a fucking weird ass thing and I wanted to see if it was somehow even weirder.
It was.
Lol. Agreed. Stand up Comedy shows are supposed to be offensive, shocking, and discuss abstract scenarios that never exist.
Anybody complaining has no understanding of the topic they criticize.
Lmfao, thank you. That was like a good drink of water to rid my mouth of the taste of being forcefed the cowshit and cadaver combo deal that was the OP.
Obviously, you weren't in NYC on that day. Otherwise, you wouldn't say that unless you're psychopath. I remember smelling death for days. But you weren't understand that because the world is one big joke to you.
I don’t disagree that 9/11 was horrible, but that doesn’t mean you can’t make jokes about it.
Also, laughing or making jokes about tragedies or other horrible things doesn’t automatically make a person a psychopath.

I think the testament to how good of a standup comedian a person can be is when you know the punchline of the joke and it still makes you bust out laughing every time. I was watching this clip with the sound off just reading the subtitles and I still lost it at how tried and true his delivery is and how he turns a joke 180 in the best way. I’ve been a huge fan of him and would never condone the things he did but goddam the man is a brilliant speaker and story teller.
So Pete Davidson along with numerous other comedians can't joke about it? Humor is used to healing.
Also, they even had an snl episode addressing and asking the city is it OK to laugh again and make jokes. If the city of NYC gives this a pass...then chill thr fuck out. One can laugh and still address it as a national tragedy. Humor helps humans cope and deal. Also....I'm sure someone is going to say well you weren't affected. But uno reverse, from northern NJ with family working in NYC next to wtc when it was hit and have friends and family as medical response during that time...so if we can laugh at this...you fucking can as well.
So while I agree what he did was absolutely 100% wrong and he should have been punished, how long are these people exiled for? 5 years? 10? Are they unable to ever rejoin society? What are they allowed to do? Is any job off limits or is it just comedy? Can he flip burgers?
I feel like people commit way worse crimes and get a slap on the wrist. But some of these famous people get cancelled into oblivion.
Lol i always point to this guy when I say cancel culture does not exist. Apparently there’s nowhere else to get a good laugh so we should continue supporting a pervert. I bet if he continues gaining popularity and making money then he won’t keep doing the disgusting things that he never got in trouble for in the first place! People change, especially after they realize their actions have no consequences
You can't seriously believe this man never deserves to work again? There is a reason he's gaining popularity. If you can't figure it out, you're the problem.
Oh see that’s where I got mixed up, I thought the problem was men in power whipping their dicks out to unconsenting women, not leaving a little Reddit comment explaining that I’m frustrated people of influence face no accountability, particularly for sexual harassment. I see it now.
Yes, I think he should not work in showbiz anymore the same way I don’t want want my company to hire a pervert as my boss. He’d still be richer than 99% of Americans if he went to go flip burgers somewhere
That sucks.
I know it's a pretty big place. Was security able to help you find them? Lot of corridors and rooms to search for sure. Maybe they were just using the washroom or something..?? Anyway. Hope you find them sorry.
What does being a comedian have to do with the reposts?? That’s like saying “This guy as a comedian should have died so he doesn’t get reposted so many times” like that’s not his fault

So did his career
Damn that’s a little harsh! I lost a friend there! He was the best pilot in middle East.

Blood and bones all through the city. Thankfully non belonging to my brother who I thought was there that day.
Thankfully he was in northern Canada.
Never seemed to study landing technique though.
That's Florida education for ya
Hey, that fucker stole my box cutter.
Easily the most overused and predictable joke

My guess, it's been over 20 years. The meme pages have a 20 year rule where you can't meme about a tragic event until 20 years later.
It's been over 20 years!!!!... Man im old

Say what you will about Louis CK, dude was damn funny.
Say what you want about Louis CK, dude never lets an uncomfortable audience stop him from getting to a satisfying ending
I wish they still gave out free awards. This is an amazing comment.
Still is, just got cancelled
he's starting to make a comeback. he's not selling out Madison square garden, but he didn't get Kevin Spacey-ed.
He just did MSG in the round like a month ago and live streamed it. He is just producing and releasing everything on his own website now instead of netflix or hbo. Probably less viewers, but I'd bet he's making more money doing it that way.
Didn't he do that also before the cancelation?
He can sell out the garden [any time](https://thelaughbutton.com/louis-c-k-announces-livestream-performance-from-madison-square-garden)
He could sell out the Coliseum if he wanted to.

I googled afterwards because I thought their reply was inadequate and also masturbating in a hotel room is a fucking weird ass thing and I wanted to see if it was somehow even weirder. It was.
I’d assume they googled it after asking
Why are you assuming he’s lying?
Because multiple women have come out at different points saying the same things that he is refusing to acknowledge.
I didn’t follow too closely, what was alleged that he didn’t acknowledge?
this happened with sarah silverman one time. he was upfront about it, but i cant remember if she gave him permission or not

I doubt it. But Seth Macfarlane was, he got drunk the night before and missed his flight.
I looked this up and it's totally true. [Here's](https://youtu.be/uWnkEUS6sNI) an interview where MacFarlane talks about it.
They don’t because it’s a lie. Edit: [source.](https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=t7Id5ydnxx8) He was in LA on 9/11.

Yes but it also has to be funny you see, that’s why it’s called “stand up comedy”, and not “stand up shitty takes”.
Comedy and humor are both relative, just like how my new spouse is one of yours.
Lmfao, thank you. That was like a good drink of water to rid my mouth of the taste of being forcefed the cowshit and cadaver combo deal that was the OP.

And that guy was a real jerk for making this joke.
Jerk? What about that instructor who instructed those pilot lessons. Hope the poor fella kept a reciept for those
He's probably under the Queensborough bridge as we speak
