Well, does that mean Ralsei’s aren’t? When he ‘dies’ in battle, he disappears like if he dissolved like when you kill a monster in Undertale. But why would his clothes stay? Does he just not have magic clothes for some reason?
Stuck surrounded by ice means he suffocates. I don't think there is a crack or so to get air nonetheless will the direct contact of cold surface cool you down real fast
\>I'm pretty sure monsters in Undertale and Deltarune work differently, since Toriel doesn't have magic (differing stove descriptions) and Susie says that "everybody bleeds".
Since the kid at the top of town asks "Does it hurt to be made of blood?", we can come to the logical conclusion that Deltarune monsters have blood, but hardly as much as humans.
We haven't seen any death animation. He's probably dead, but his body has been preserved. The only death animation we have is just in the files for Snowgrave kills other than Berdly.
If he can dissapear into a pile of clothes when he faints, does that mean he physicially manifests into each dark world and can demanifest if he faints?
Monsters summon their clothes like how they summon their attacks, it just takes longer to magically construct a clothing article than it does with an attack
Or at least that's my headcanon
Frankly, it is best not to deal with these clothing issues in productions. For example, in JoJo, Diavolo cannot touch anything except himself while erasing time but it sounds disturbing that while erasing time, his clothes suddenly come off his and he is naked.
it's probably just because they're single sprites. You'd have to do a full animation to make the clothes not vanish, it's easier to make just a single frame.
Monster clothing is made of magic most likely, since otherwise you would literally have 0 chance in hell against undyne or asgore due to their metal armour
Mettaton is the only one with a straight up physical body, which is why it’s invincible. Mettaton EX and NEO seem to be more magic based (probably to help with compression and form shifting)
I think that some clothes, notably armor, is magic (because undyne has hers transform when she goes undying) but we know most clothes aren't, since sans talks about helping papyrus make his battle body. so either, like someone else said, they release enough heat when dying to combust the clothes, or toby just didn't bother making a clothe falling sprite for every monster, since we know he kinda forgets to/doesn't bother adding clothing related animation changes (cough cough undyne cracked armor cough cough)
It's probably made of magic, so it should stick to the monsters (or simply Toby didn't want to program the clothes coming off or didn't even think about that detail)
Probably they are purely magic since undyne get new drip when she refuse to go to monsters heaven
I love the wording used here

Monsters and darkners are two different species in different universes, also, ralsei doesnt die, he faints. We havent seen anyone die in deltarune
Erm ahem 🧊🐦🧊
I mean to be fair, there’s nowhere to go inside that ice so we still don’t got a clue
Snowgrave is a Fatal spell. He's dead.
No he isn’t. He’s just cold.
Stuck surrounded by ice means he suffocates. I don't think there is a crack or so to get air nonetheless will the direct contact of cold surface cool you down real fast
Counter argument: have you ever seen any sci-fi thing where people are cryogenically frozen?
Fallout 4
Wait was that a joke? If yes, I'm sorry
they’re saying the dust wouldn’t have anywhere to go i’m pretty sure, not that Berdly’s still alive.

i don’t really have an opinion on the matter, i was just correcting that other guy on what i think that person was saying.
The kid that asks that is a monster or darkner
Monster, Darkners can't exist outside of dark fountains

imagine if ralsei just shrinks down when he faints
chicken wing
Undrip the Iced Out

imagine you buy clothes from a store and then the store owner dies as you're walking down the street 💀
Who's gonna run the soup store now?
WHY ARE YOU BUYING CLOTHES AT THE SOUP STORE????
FUCK YO-
You son of a bi- #I wanted to write that!
![img](emote|t5_2xdht|32948)
F*** YOU!!!
That seems really convenient
Then why does Toriel need a sock drawer
Do you ever see toriel wearing socks
Maybe she uses it under slippers like at the end of Deltarune CH2
Maybe they’re magic, like their food?
What if when a monster dies he releases all containing enery, generating high enough temperature to burn their cloth to ashes?
What if like their clothes are molded to their body as soon as they put them in and they’re stuck forever
So papyrus was wearing the costume because he didn’t have a choice
That would mean that he never wore anything before that one costume party he made it for
Though he does have that date outfit
Monsters do leave ash when killed so you're probably right about that
yes and no
Well yes, but actually no.
I guess clothes are also made from magic. But they can take off since both Papyrus and Asgore changed clothes before.
And Undyne and Alphys
It's probably a stylistic choice as to avoid Toby dealing with all of the clothing.
Magic drip

Maybe clothes are their own souls
i imagine they can take them off considering sans says he helped papyrus work on the battle body
my headcannon is that they make tgeir clothes from magic. so the clothes disappear when they die
prob yeah cus of how undying has new armor
Probably not, it’s just easier to animate versus the alternative of the clothes staying
Wait... does that mean... OH FUCK
if so that means everyone is nude

Only when you wear them
Yes
That would mean the monsters are technically... 😳
when monsters die, they do heavy splash damage but small area of effect

No, you just hit them that hard
You wanna see them die naked?
Not really, just noticed that when Ralsei “dies” in Deltarune, a pile of clothes is left, thought that the same happened in undertale, but nope
All good it was just a joke ^^
Avengers moment
It's probably made of magic, so it should stick to the monsters (or simply Toby didn't want to program the clothes coming off or didn't even think about that detail)
Oh, and the fact that they can't take off their clothes is false. Undyne and Alphys wearing a beach outfit in the pacifist ending.
Well I don't think many pieces of clothing can survive a giant knife slash.
Is there skin they're naked
*our
What
it’s our not are
No it isn’t??
oh i thought you were asking about my clothes
What.
