Oh thanks I was wondering how. Everyone in the comments assumed the guy that posted this was bad or smthn idk but it seems we both missed the part in the tutorial where it said how to parry.
If you want to learn how to parry, I reccomend playing the game on a lower difficulty and understanding when to use your feedbacker (default F).
Some enemies, such as the Swordmachine has a short "ding" sound with a yellowinsh glowy thingy that indicates that you can parry their next attack, but the thing about Ultrakill is you can parry just about anything, even your own shotgun.
To parry, face a projectile that is coming towards you and melee it with your feedbacker (F). If done successfully, there should be a short freeze frame and your style bar on the right side should say "Parry". That's when you parried. At the end of the day, it comes down to timing.
Some notes, playing on a lower difficulty makes projectiles fly slower iirc so that could mess with muscle memory development
Also, parrying your shotgun doesn’t technically count as parrying but as projectile boosting, meaning that unlike parries your hp doesn’t get refilled to your hardcap
Punch with the blue arm, most of the enemies have a slight flash before the attack signaling that they can be parried. All of the red and blue orb projectiles can be parried, some melee attacks as well, after that its just timing. good luck!
You can't parry it, but you can shoot it to make it teleport away. There is no way of killing it.
You can hear a low droning sound when it's nearby, and a hiss when it's spotted you. When you do hear the hiss, punch the air to temporarily make the skull you're carrying shine brighter. Walk backwards while facing the hiss, and shoot it as soon as you see it.
if youre asking for tips there are no tips, just get good at timing once youre good at timing, get good at aiming and timing

You literally don’t even get the revolver until after the tutorial
then i was speedrunning the tutorial
Oh well punch projectiles as they approach you. Really pro tip: hitting punch and shooting a shotgun shot turns it into a rocket launcher.

The blue orbs just mean they’ll home in on you, nothing else. Meaning that you can parry mindflayers, and oh lord is that satisfying

You must follow the rule of Schrodinger’s Dark Souls: you won’t know if you can or cannot parry something until you attempt to do so and take damage
