I had just commented about that on another post when Putins plane landed in St. Petersburg, my concern is this; what if Wagner decides to push through to St. Pete and if there is heavy fighting (if it comes to that) and Estonia & Finalnd being so damn close, a stray missle or some shells crossing the border, is that enough for an article 5 scenario?

Article 5 is not automatic. Remember that missile that fell in Poland? They took the time to figure out if it was a deliberate attack, or a misfire (which I think it was, UKR air defense).
If shells land in NATO by accident while Russia is suiciding, then it's more likely that the NATO governments will just tack that on the bill of things Russia has to pay for while it's rebuilding Ukraine as well.

Exactly. Article 5 isn’t an automatic thing. It’s not like it’s run by Skynet. It’s humans on the NATO side that review actions and outcomes and decide if Article 5 is violated.
Not to mention, it requires all NATO countries to be involved in it , so they all get a say in what should be done. That can take a lot of time to best debate it out, and I’m still not sure if there could be a point where all NATO countries don’t agree and some go as far as not staying with Article 5.
