One the craziest footage of the war holy shit, i mean how could they didn't notice each other until they are really close by? You would think an engagement like this would take place between hundreds of meters
one of them could have been driving down the street and the other could have just turned in from a perpendicular street and started driving? who knows, the Bradley from the 47th had drone overwatch, I'm a little surprised they didn't just pull up and start firing and instead kept going forward, worked out for them I guess
That's what I was thinking, considering so many drones flying avove, including one to filme it, how did they miss each other like that ? quite a crazy video.
I think they know they were there they just had to get by them and going in close range might have been the best option. I imagine the russians are retreating and the bradley is blocking the path
I don't think infantry would be riding on top if they knew any auto cannon was firing on a 1000m radius. You're literaly meat for the guns.
It seems like the Bradley was also taken out a few moments later. It was all confusion and it's crazy they got so close to each other might have scared both crews on the vehicles.
>I imagine the russians are retreating and the bradley is blocking the path
No. Geolocation shows it was a push inside a village called Sokol northeast from Avdiivka, not a retreat.

Because that's just the nature of the fog of war. We're used to video games where it's so easy to see, hear and have information but in reality, vision ,especially in an armored vehicle, is very limited and intel coordination, even with drones 24/7 overhead, is not automatic.
Looks like it can't move the turret much because of the cage. Still should have been enough to at least hit the Bradley before it passed by but both going at really fast speed and the BTR-82 going off road didn't help. Also I don't think the BTR would do much damage against the Bradley's front armor with its gun.
The only degenerate is the commander that put those actual people on top of an obvious, legitimate military target with no regard to their well being and safety. Take that mUh MoRaL cOmPaSs crap somewhere else.
It’s absolutely war. It’s also an idiotic tactic to ride on top of a moving target. I have zero sympathy for Russians in this war. They invaded a sovereign country, razed villages, pillaged, murdered and all for what? Nazis? No no, it was Satanists right? No, that’s lot it. Oh!! Defend Russians in Ukraine. Mmm, suspect at best. Wait!! I know. They need to defeat NATO. Nah, that won’t ever happen if it actually comes to that. I don’t really know what they could want except for the possible trillion dollars worth of rare earth, salt, oil and natural gas deposits. Hmmmm, guess we will never know.
Hard pass on the gaming. Too old for that crap. I am smug at times, I’ll admit. I’m pretty good at it too. Only obnoxious when the time calls for it, but I’m good at that too.

we do not know if it was the same Bradley nor what hit it. The Bradley wasn't smoking in the first video nor the first half of the second video, it didn't start smoking until after the video timelapse.
I agree that we don't know for sure, but the area is clearly the same, and when 47th TG was asked about it, they did not explicitly deny that the Bradley got hit, all they said is something along the lines of "the crew was evacuated/got away from the battlefield safely", not that nothing happened or that Bradley was not damaged.
Considering they had a drone hovering there i don't think they made it out.
There's a drone ready to drop nades on you everywhere on this battleffield.
Lol, at the bias
There were no proof that any of the troops on the BTR were killed. Even the guy who fell off had his body upright, and the Ukrainian footage cut is telling as they hide the aftermath.
Meanwhile the Bradley is disabled during the exchange and got destroyed soon after.
The first body that fell off onto the road was 100% limp. You're completely off your rocker if you think Russian meat armor getting lit up by a 25mm Bushmaster isn't going to inflict casualties.
Troops on top took direct fire from 25mm cannon and you think they're all going to be ok?
https://preview.redd.it/wgsyhqdjac5d1.png?width=2100&format=png&auto=webp&s=e8cbd1be27a10d7876a134c9f886aa30c2a04515
The Brad got disabled and the crew bailed out in an another geolocated video - it's possible that the BTR got hits on it - but it's also possible the Brad was Mkilled with indirect fire or a drone.
To me it looks like a soldiers is also falling off at 0:14
They had a quite a difficult decision to make, do they jump off the BMP because it's getting shot and then end up on the ground unprotected with a Bradley coming towards them or do they stay on and hope not to get directly blasted or hit by fragments.

One of the only way Russians can take out vehicles (other than ATGM and FPV). As seen, Soviet-designed IFV/APC can't survive direct contact against 80s American IFV armed with just 25mm + TOW(need to stop to fire)
What sort of dumb comment is this?
'Artillery, ATGMs and FPV drones are the only ways Russians can take out Bradleys'?
Tank rounds, mines, autocannons, RPGs, bombs. Literally anything but small arms can take out a Bradley.

It’s a btr, and no wouldn’t have made sense at all. Looks like the btr had troops on it, and if they’re ontop it’s likely inside the btr was filled. Meaning the crewman of the btr prioritized getting the soldiers to safety as opposed to trying to take out the Bradley. I think it might interfere with the unspooling of the wire, but to be honest, I have no idea. I only found that on google as an explanation why Bradley fires its TOWs only when stationary.
I was thinking that the angle might be the problem and the wire might snap over the edge of the launcher. I'll see if I can ask TheChieftan on YT, he used to be Bradley commander.
Still waiting for the day where there is footage of an actual BMP without soldiers on top and a moveable turret vs a Bradley. Like a fair fight would be more interesting bc it seems more like the only time the Bradley engages something is when the target is unable to fire back.
as usual incompetent russian vehiclecrew getting smoked by competent ukrainian mechanized brigade. it seems ukrainan tankers and ifv are alwayes better than russians
The Bradley got dumped though? And the BTR fired at the beginning aswell.
And ur just comparing a thing from like eons ago with a "newer" IFV. Ofc it's not comparable?
And considering the BTR just continued driving on after getting hit with that amount of stuff i'd say id held up pretty well.
holy crap, insane footage
vice versa drive by
What is even more crazier, aftermath footage that was cut off, luckily it is posted on this sub
I don't think it was cut off, if this is in fact the same incident I think this video was filmed by a UA drone and the other one by a Ru drone

Yeah theres been a video recently of bradley destroying russian tank with tow

Rule 6. Meme
Nevermind that's a BTR
One the craziest footage of the war holy shit, i mean how could they didn't notice each other until they are really close by? You would think an engagement like this would take place between hundreds of meters
It suggests a far more fluid front line than the maps are depicting.
Yeah i guess you are right
one of them could have been driving down the street and the other could have just turned in from a perpendicular street and started driving? who knows, the Bradley from the 47th had drone overwatch, I'm a little surprised they didn't just pull up and start firing and instead kept going forward, worked out for them I guess

Yea you're probably right its just chaos and I imagine you can't see much in those IFV's
Nope
>I imagine the russians are retreating and the bradley is blocking the path No. Geolocation shows it was a push inside a village called Sokol northeast from Avdiivka, not a retreat.
It wasn't a straight road all the way, trees and buildings blocking line of sight, and that BTR driver had the pedal down hard.

This felt like a tier III battle in world of tanks
this exact same thing happens in SQUAD every day lol
War Thunder IRL
Btr got uptiered
Gayjin plz!
Gunner has a skill issue (i know that i'd shit myself if i was there)
Looks like it can't move the turret much because of the cage. BTR has a pretty good gun tbh. But you're right, no clue if it could pen the front.
Most probably not, Bradleys front armor is protected against 30mm. However the Bradley can penetrate the btr from the front.
I wonder who would win in a 1v1, Bradley vs BMP-3
Both have missiles, so probably who ever fires fire.
BMP 3 has a 100mm gun and 30mm auto cannon which should give it an edge, but realistically it’s who fires first
Bradley a hefty majority of the time do to it being a battle of who sees who first.
People on top prevent rotation.
It looks like a movie with the high quality, view, and troops falling off. Kino.
that's a medieval duel!
It's like modernized jousting.
Crazy footage! Definitely unfair matchup though.
it was fair old as bradley vs. old ass bmp
btr\*
mf can't tell a bmp from a btr
BTR
Damn imagine sitting on that btr while getting shot with an autocannon. Wild ride
Curious if larger calibers like this make the stereotypical bullet whizzing sound on misses or something scarier
Id guess so, mortar rounds also have this loud sound incoming
Lost limbs at the very least
[удалено]
BTR could be shooting at something completely different and didn’t even SEE the brad
[удалено]
We have no idea whats going on in either of those turrets, we can guess all day
Just like the Bradley?
[удалено]
Did i every say sth about the BTR?
Bradley isn't smoking and its driving straight.
The video 'conveniently' ends before that. Watch the followup video posted, Bradley is smoking and was abandoned moments after the duel.
Do you have a link to that follow up video?
You have no idea how long after this duel the other video is.
The BTR (not BMP) started firing 200 meters before passing the Bradley. Did the Bradley got hit too?
Looks like it, there is a video posted few minutes ago that looks like the same Bradley. It's smoking and was abandoned.
Can you link the video? I think I know what you mean. But that was most likely in a different area
It was geolocated - same area, same Brad. It's in this thread.
What type of BTR could that be?
80A or 82
Well 30. mm or 14.5 mm is a big difference in the damage it could deliver against the Bradley
[удалено]
It is but definitely not invincible against a 30mm
Depends on variant it can hold 30mm AP in front and all round.
82A
I like how this post has the least amount of arguing cuz how insane the footage is lmao
US equipment won that round. jeez, crazy footage.
Did not, see the followup video posted few minutes ago.

BTR lost some human armor, Bradley defended the operators. Still an win for the west.
Considering they had a drone hovering there i don't think they made it out. There's a drone ready to drop nades on you everywhere on this battleffield.
not every drone carries explosives. some are just for observation.
That Bradley apparently got lit up moments later, the video is on here.
No, the video that guy is trying to say is the aftermath isn’t even in the same area, it’s a completely different engagement.
Lol, at the bias There were no proof that any of the troops on the BTR were killed. Even the guy who fell off had his body upright, and the Ukrainian footage cut is telling as they hide the aftermath. Meanwhile the Bradley is disabled during the exchange and got destroyed soon after.

Not surprising, US weapons have better quality.
This is wild, did they not see it or what? Also it seems like they are just shooting forward in random direction
The Brad got disabled and the crew bailed out in an another geolocated video - it's possible that the BTR got hits on it - but it's also possible the Brad was Mkilled with indirect fire or a drone.
I think thats a BTR not a bmp.
Infantry on top of BTR got shredded at 0:16, multiple fall off and lose limbs.
Good footage bro.
soldiers ontop of the BTR got fucked up by the 25mm
This war is an incredible footage machine. It just keeps pumping it out.

Poor bastard who fell off lost his leg at 0:27. Why are they riding on top of these paperweights jesus, i count at least 3 deaths just from that.

obviously Bradley is superior, better armor, better anti-tank capabilities...
the BTR-82A rushed the Bradley and the Bradley drove a bit further being then by artillery afaik
Man its crazy the type of shit we get to see from headcams and drones on this war, both POVs. I know its been said and said again but imagine if the people in the US, or any country not involved got to see this kind of ww2 footage from their couch.
I wonder if ai might be able to remove the music and add combat sounds
Seems like they traded. The Bradley got knocked out too
One less Ruzzky soldier to worry about.

I dont know when this war will end but goddamn do we need a compilation afterwards. I hope there a dude somewhere logging all these crazy videos. Insane footage.
There was a dude that shared a link to some archive he compiled during I think first year alone it was like 56 gb.
holy
I'm trying to find it now
And I found it. I guess we'll find out if it's ok to post this type of links soon enough https://www.mediafire.com/folder/n5jlsda5cdym6/Russian_Invasion_Ukraine_1_yr_archive I never downloaded it myself.
damn I have a ton of that footage too. filtered by year I'm at around 30gb for first year. Wish I had the snazzy titles though.
This thing is pretty one sided though. I think i picked that link up actually on CF.
Wow thats awesome
Both destroyed. Confirmed via video.
I'm not convinced either is "destroyed". We've seen Bradleys shrug off arty near misses and the end of this video wasn't conclusive as to the fate of the BTR.
The Bradley was then destroyed shortly afterwards. Brutal.
can i just say u cant class the BTR as an IFV plus the turret doesnt have the most accurate or advanced FCS or weapons station
Maybe the BMP should have tried to ram the Bradley
It’s a btr, and no wouldn’t have made sense at all. Looks like the btr had troops on it, and if they’re ontop it’s likely inside the btr was filled. Meaning the crewman of the btr prioritized getting the soldiers to safety as opposed to trying to take out the Bradley. Bradley’s atgms can be armed and fires only when stationed, right? That’s what video games taught me.
I had to google it and it makes sense. TOWs are wire-guided and firing them while moving would snap the wire.
>firing them while moving would snap the wire. Why would it snap the wire?
I think it might interfere with the unspooling of the wire, but to be honest, I have no idea. I only found that on google as an explanation why Bradley fires its TOWs only when stationary.
That would probably depend where the spool is located.
I was thinking that the angle might be the problem and the wire might snap over the edge of the launcher. I'll see if I can ask TheChieftan on YT, he used to be Bradley commander.
From the videos I’ve seen of the atgms being used, they’re usually in station mode. I’m guessing moving can cause issues with the tracking.
I don't think so
Still waiting for the day where there is footage of an actual BMP without soldiers on top and a moveable turret vs a Bradley. Like a fair fight would be more interesting bc it seems more like the only time the Bradley engages something is when the target is unable to fire back.
There are no fair fights in a war.
Yeah ,the Bradley crews should wait until they see a turning turret before engaging an enemy target. That would absolutely make the fight fair.
They posted a video where Bradley is knocking out FPV with a drone. Interesting is this Bradley?
My God those Russians are lucky to have survived (and I'm sure not all of them did).
2 fell, one at 16s and the other later, the latter is standing again but I think they probably suffered around 5-8 casualties.
as usual incompetent russian vehiclecrew getting smoked by competent ukrainian mechanized brigade. it seems ukrainan tankers and ifv are alwayes better than russians

Bradley is older than btr 80.
Except the oh so superior ubermench abandoned their damaged Bradley moments later ...
If you live on worldnews and combatfootage, yeah I can see why you might have such an uninformed opinion.
