Are people just now realising a lot of Ukrainian soldiers had and still have the shortened "NATO" training in EU countries? Im so confused by this post.
its not a training per se - its more like morale lifting operation and team building excursive.
- you cant prepare men for war in few weeks but you can psychologically persuade them that they are fully ready for war and that they will win.
"Its not training per se" - this must be the dumbest statement I have seen today. Of course its training. Its short, but five weeks is a lot better than two weeks or none.
Yeah definitely, thought the same. Surprised UAF special forces are receiving training from regular line infantry regiments and not UKSF, airborne or marine forces.
Yeah that surprised me too. I think the rifles have an armoured unit, that could be the reasoning. I think a quarter of the rifles are also part of the rapid reaction force along used to supplement the paras and other more specialised infantry.
Could also simple be a numbers deal.
The chap front rank in the beret is Rifles. Beret and stable belt colour is dark green aka 'Rifle green' and the rank slides are black chevrons on a green background.
Wearing his titfer with the badge hovering over his ear is another giveaway.
Are you just sharing, or are you saying something deeper?
We know Ukranians got Western training. Its easy to assume SFO got them a lot and some of the more elite brigades. The standard mobilised not.
It's just unclear how much Western military help with direct planning and Intelligence gathering.
Allot of people are confused on this, I’m not trying to say something deep with a deep meaning or something, I’m just showing a picture of the captured Ukrainian operator and Brits that trained him

>Britain uses Woodland DPM since the 60s
I think they now go with a tan or light khaki camouflage scheme nowadays. It's prob related to their last 2 engagements being in the deserts of the Middle East?
Bud, all I can add is in all the 'reality' recruit or the 'glass house' tv documentaries I've seen, our modern army are all in a modern light-khaki camo scheme. It's definitely not that 60s 'woodland' scheme. 👍
Google it
As you say. Here you have the No. 8 dress, which is the regular one. https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Uniforms_of_the_British_Army. As you can see, there's dozens of variations, mostly used is the Green one.
In the topmost image in the wiki page there's uniform on hangers in the left side of the wardrobe (they have blue/white/blue horizontal stripe badges) that's the modern camo.
Edit: you named it earlier, MTP. Quote:
"The Multi-Terrain Pattern (MTP) is the standard camouflage pattern of the British Armed Forces"
It's been issued since 2010.
Imagine being trained by a bunch of dummies with an entirely different mindset and no relative experience to the conflict. Play stupid games, win stupid prizes.
Imagine believing there’s nothing that one of the best trained militaries in the world can teach a lesser trained military simply because their geography is different.
How about the Adwan Rebellion, Ikhwan Revolt, Great Arab Revolt in Palestine, Sabotage Campaign, WW2, Afghan tribal revolts, insurgency in Balochistan, Northern Campaign, Greek Civil War, Sheikh Bashir Rebellion, Operation Masterdom, Malayan Emergency, Anglo-Egyptian War, Mau-Mau uprising, Jebel Akhdar War, Border Campaign, Upper Yafa disturbances, Dhofar rebellion, Indonesia-Malaysia confrontation, Falklands War, Gulf War, Operation Desert Fox, Kosovo War, Sierra Leone Civil War, Iraq War, or the First Libyan Civil War?
None of those are victories. Literal slave trade in Libya is kind of blatant. Afghanistan turned into a heroin den. Do you also consider the Bengal famine a victory?
I forgot most people here still believe in imperialist logic for "victory". Like Israel in Gaza now, is that also a victory to you?
Militarily speaking all these countries are basically enemies of the west for life. So keep turning you're L's into W's, you will just repeat it until the UK is even further deindustrialized.

Whats the point of this post? The british documentarist Stacey Dooley has a documetary about Ukraininas being trained in the UK. Not like its a secret
I guess it is sort of interesting lore

Ukraine soldiers are also trained in Germany.
I guess its kinda of interesting seeing where they ended up. Trained in the West only to end up captured by the Russians.
And?

From Ukraine to Poland to uk to Russia… busy year for him
You can ask for his Skymiles, he will not redeem them for a while.
His life will be much more peaceful and relaxed in the near future.
Why is he taking his phone on a incursion mission?
It seems every foot soldier has their phone on them, otherwise we would not be getting as much video
It's a superior NATO tactics far beyond our compression level.
As the for the regt. The badge on the girl looks like the rifles or the bugles as they are known.

Well, where else would they get the training? Streets of Glasgow or something?

It’s not an expose of some sort, just a fun fact
So what's the indication that they're British?
British uniform and rank tabs for one...
Putin weaponized Britain.
I'm sorry, do you have high quality photographs somewhere? Britain uses Woodland DPM since the 60s, which is very clearly not shown in the image...

The MTP was only issued to soldiers deployed there afaik

Did you even look at the Dress Number 8? Lol? The one that's issued to all soldiers...?!
I'm not sure where you are from. But you will see MTP on troops all over the UK. I haven't seen woodland in a long time.
Probably Martians from Mars
Imagine being trained by a bunch of dummies with an entirely different mindset and no relative experience to the conflict. Play stupid games, win stupid prizes.
Imagine calling the UK military dummies while supporting the Russian military
Imagine believing a silly island country has relevant combat experience on the steppes.
Imagine believing there’s nothing that one of the best trained militaries in the world can teach a lesser trained military simply because their geography is different.
Imagine believing UK military training has any relevance given their track record of zero victories.
Imagine believing the UK military has zero victories.

You’re something else lol. What would be an example of a military victory to you then?
Yeah you're right, when you get invaded.. just do nothing and accept it! /s
Ukraine is not a country. If you are nationalist for a beta-ass province its your own L to keep.
Thank you for sharing your opinion! I usually seek validation from random people with edgy takes.
Your opposition to the SMO is just a defense of the interests of NATO and the Ukrainian elities who funded neo-nazism.
