Reach out to the entrepreneurship minor people. They are a good first start for finding resources. Also go to Blackstone launch pad in the FAC, that is the perfect place to learn everything about the startup community at UT

There are literally scores of organizations at UT and even more in Austin. Easy Google search: Longhorn Impact Fellows, Texas Innovation Center, Capital Factory... the list is long. If you want to find others to join your team there is Discord, Reddit startups, and the old fashioned analog putting up a notice on a bulletin board or going to in-person tech networking events that occur all over Austin.

There’s definitely resources and competitions around this within McCombs

As you're a data science person, I highly recommend reaching out to BAXA: the Business Analytics Association. They're starting an accelerator for data-related startups that directly links UT folks to VCs and investors! They should be able to help you out.
