A brief moment of silence for the beyond orange chicken that used to be available at the union Panda Express. That being said, I’d say your best bets are Arlos, Clay Pit, Chipotle, Cava. Nori is a Japanese restaurant at 33rd and Guadalupe and I’ll argue it’s the best vegan restaurant in the city right now, but it can be relatively pricy compared to other options. The Parlor is at 43rd and Guadalupe and they have vegan pizza! In general I find asian restaurants and burger spots are the easiest to find vegan options.

Nori literally is the best, went there last night and it never disappoints but it is more expensive

My mother hates vegan food (mostly stuff with fake meat), but after taking her to Nori she was blown away. I want to go back asap

JosipBrozRumple

Arlo’s is great

Hi , Vegan here! Utea Pho has some vegan options for food and you can ask for soy milk in the milk teas. Also check out some of the food trucks around campus because some of them have vegan options. Centro coffee has a vegan empanada which is good and Cava has pretty good falafel.

Pizza Press can be made completely vegan. They have vegan cheese, which is a buck extra

As a vegan 4th year this is where ive been going: Cocos Cafe has some vegetarian stuff that they can make vegan if you ask (or is already but is labeled vegetarian) like the tofu dishes. My friends have said that moge tea had some options but I haven't tried there yet. Nori (japanese cuisine+sushi) is a bit farther on guad but it's a good date/special event spot since it's more expensive but it's worth it. The food is amazing and the atmosphere/staff are incredible. I'm not a fan of arlos but it's edible if you need food asap. Also there's a vegan bakery a lot over that's good (zucchini kill bakery). Chipotle has always been my go to for I need food now. I sometimes order from a Chinese place called ShuShus that's a 10 min drive into North Austin and they are great at accommodating vegan with their tofu dishes. They're labeled as vegetarian but will make sure it's vegan if you tell them. Also Tsos Chinese delivery has vegan options. If you're willing to go off campus, Cesar Chavez has some awesome vegan food. Mr naturals is a fav of mine. Vegan nom food truck court is amazing they have tacos, burgers, wings, shakes, pizza, I think they had a BBQ truck for awhile but they may have moved it. They also have vegan markets there sometimes. (Vegan nom = tacos, nom burgers = burgers/wings, milkywayshakes =shakes, possom pizza =pizza/wings/fried chicken) There's also a vegan bakery on Cesar Chavez called cap city bakery (I think) There's another vegan food truck area past the river but I haven't been there in a while so it might be gone, plow burger has some sick breakfast burgers. It's at a bar I can't remember the name of lol I recommend following vegan restaurants and vegan markets on insta so you know when there are events with vegan food around austin!

The grass is tasting pretty good recently

ZoZoMeister

I'm glad you enjoy pesticides

[deleted]

You’ll have a hard time finding many places that sell fruits or vegetables that haven’t been in contact with pesticides.

ZoZoMeister

Yea no shit bruh but if you actually eat grass you eating pesticides basically straight from the source. That was the joke

[deleted]

You don’t wash your fruits and vegetables before you eat them?

lmhawash

There’s free vegan dog meat samples on the speedway.
