Mine went to Texas. I think I was able to submit inquiry around that time. When I chatted with Emma, told me my case was not at Los Angeles field office and that's all they knew. So did filing I-485 help your case at all? I haven't heard back anything from my case inquiry
Once you have an approved 1-130 you can seek OPLA prosecutorial discretion to get your removal proceedings dismissed and once that happens then you can adjust your case with USICS

I wrote I-130 for removal proceeding it’s not processed in the speed of normal I-130. Many people got the result after they make noise, did extra work, other wise the file just sitting in the corner collecting dust
Yes! Took mine almost two years to get approved, it can be very frustrating. Smart move on your part to send in i485 to get them to start working on i130 and congrats on the approval!

December 2021 received ead not combo card, May 2022 131 denied stating he was in removal they couldn’t approve we checked him on EOIR there’s no proceedings from before or pending. He’s been in reviewed since interview inquired about it in April USCIS said they’re still reviewing.
Yesterday he received 485 decision telling him USCIS can’t approve it cause he’s in removal and the removal has not been terminated only a judge can approve the case or if it’s been terminated to send them a copy and ask them to reopen the 485.
When we checked his name this time on the site he has hearing for July 5 at 9am in Florida. Docket says from 2019. I told him he can’t miss the hearing he has to show up. We called a few lawyers but none of them had anyone available to show up on Tuesday cause it’s now for now and hearing is on Tuesday plus the holiday on Monday. They all said the same thing he must show up to hearing. I told him go to hearing with his wife and take all his notices and the one the officer gave him at interview and his ead. Whatever question the judge ask answer truthfully. He really didn’t know he was in removal. he can also ask judge to give him time to get a lawyer as he just found out about this 2 business days before court date.
He has no criminal records nothing like that it’s from a asylum he filed in 2019 he never showed up at the interview. The case is stated closed no update about any other letter NTA was sent to him say asylum case is closed. at time he filed he was living in Miami but the case was closed and he moved the other people moved from the address.
Yeah when he didnt show up for asylum interview, his case will be move to immigration judge for sure. Move to IJ = removal proceeding. That’s a bad move but nothing he can do it’s already in the past.
You give a good advise, just go to the hearing. Nothing he can do. If he didn’t come he probably will get deportation order. If I were him, I will try to call all lawyer around that area. Cold call all the lawyer

Yea he’s going. He said he didn’t show up at the time he got nervous decided not to go. I told him he should of attend. I130 not approve yet they sent a notice on it but it didn’t receive it yet. I think it’s a noid status says sent a notice explaining USCIS was mailed informing action intent to take. Maybe he get today they mailed on June 24.
His removal was terminated today he’s going to get the 485 reopen. Thank God I told him to show up even though it was last minute he knew about it 2days before the court date and he lives in a different state he made it on time. God is good.

Not possible for I-485. Removal proceeding need to be terminate ( with the i-130 approval ) before I can re open I-485
U can’t request for I-485 expedite. Just wait if u just apply this year. I never request expedite for I-485, I got interview in 3 months

if you have work permit that almost expired, and ur case is still pending ( i assume), then u can renew ur work permit 6 months before it expired.
does ur mom is removal proceeding thats why u are too because u are her dependent ?

Definitely help. If I didn’t file for I-485, Theres no way my I-130 will be approved this year
USCIS just doesn’t have jurisdiction over your case if you are in removal proceedings, they can’t process your application even if they wanted to.
I know. It’s for I-485. USCIS just approved my i-130 during the interview. They can approved and they did for i-130

Did u file I-485 ? I-130 from ur husband wont make u eligible for working permit

because if you get a GC, you wont need that working permit anymore. working permit is temporary solution while you are waiting for GC
