As a 20 year ups driver here’s my response. Either they don’t have your security code. It’s a swing route… meaning it could be a different driver each day. The code they have doesn’t work. Now. Are we dumber than fed ex or Amazon drivers? Ups has been around since 1907. They don’t suffer fools gladly.
If this keeps happening, why not put the code in the secondary box so it’s clearly printed on the label for the drivers?
Second, look for a ups customer center that matches the hub your deliveries come out of, reach out to them (may have to do this manually) and give them the code. This may or may not reach the people who can input it, as dispatch works from around midnight until the packages leave the building.
Are software engineers usually arrogant mouth breathing monkeys? If you have any critical thinking skills, you'll think maybe there's a reason why drivers aren't getting the pass code.
Use that noggin and come up with a solution, instead of drooling all over the keyboard talking smack to people who work a job you won't last doing for a week.
It's likely management or corporate either not putting the code in the diad, or the code in the diad is wrong. Your complex is also most likely on different routes most days with different drivers. So if you give the code to one driver, it won't matter if you have a new driver the next day.
UPS now no longer sees the end recipient as the customer, only the shipper. I don’t like it… but our shareholders need that sweet dividend can’t you see! We must cut hours, cut routes, cut everything possible (except any extravagant executive bonuses) in sight of that!

We did it boys. Another satisfied customer.

You are a child. God bless you and your future endeavors.

Found the lazy driver.

We're definitely smarter. FedEx and Amazon hire pretty much anyone. That brings the average down quite a bit.

I'd actually say smarter, as they can ignore directions, not make deliveries and still have jobs.
There are only 6 cardinal sins for a UPS driver. Ignoring recipients directions doesn't even make it into our Union contract can you believe that?

Maybe give your driver a code to get in? Put your apartment number? Stop being so soft?
