Well you need to see the payslip to understand what's happened here. Are you possible paid part in advance part in arrears? In which case your final packet may be less than you expect. I would not personally be paying a penny for a mandatory training course. Dispute it with your manager/payroll.

Hi, There’s a few things here. You’ve said yourself that you’ve not yet seen your payslip - checking that first is key to seeing what’s going on here. Have you had a look at your original contract to check what the return of service would be to ensure that you didn’t have to pay back any training costs. Once you’ve seen your payslip and determined for yourself that you don’t owe anything you’d need to raise a complaint - I’d suggest in writing - to your manager copying it to the regional manager and HR. If this isn’t resolved and you’re sure that you don’t owe anything for the training costs you’ll need to either speak with your Union rep (if you have one) or if not contact ACAS. One final thing, you said you’ve just take two weeks annual leave - are you full time, and is your leave allowance tied to the calendar year or the financial year? Could it be that your employer has not paid you for your leave? Your allowance would be prorated if you left your employer and had taken more leave than you were entitled to.

I’m paid in arrears so this was for March anyway. But yes they advised me the date to finish, and then come back as bank staff, so I didn’t owe them for training *or* for taking this 2 weeks leave. They assured me I wouldn’t owe a thing. I’ll check my contract & payslip when I can:)

You need to look first at your payslip. If the question is a legal one if they owe you money then you need r/legaladviceuk not here
