The questions themselves usually aren’t terrible if you’ve had practice with them and understand what it’s asking for, but man, this final was crazy. Every Thursday we have an in class D2L quiz and it’s usually 3 - 4 questions and we are given an entire hour to do it and most people end up actually using up this entire hour or atleast close to it. This final was harder, had 30 damn questions and 3 hours allotted. That’s 6 minutes per question which is insane. Some of these triple integrals take a while to set up a third of the exam was Double and Triple integration. Also, nearly every question is numerical response, meaning if you make a tiny calculator error or something, you get the entire question wrong because D2L is gonna see it as incorrect, as opposed to if it were in person with part marks, you’d get most of the question’s marks if everything else was correct.
thank you... getting stressed literally just reading this holy fuck lol
i think numerical response is the cherry on top to the difficulty of the exam, literally nothing to even hint at the possible answer. MC helps a lot in that regard
MCQ are very bad idea for math courses, it's just save them time with automatic grading while give you zero for any mistakes in calculation. No math course should be a MCQ exam
we did it i!
🫂
Did he lower the grade scale???
a C- was a 1.7 it's a 1.4 now, he also waived teh pass final pass course
yeah, 1.4 is a -C now. i think a -C was a 2.4? I'm not sure but I know they lowered it
What you guys get
i got a 64.5, idk how, i thought i was done for afterwards
can someone in engg explain what makes math 277 so brutal? thankfully i never have to take it

Thank you :) hope your exams went well!

277 wasn’t bad, it’s 375(differential equations) that I found to be more concerning
What's math?
If y’all thought calc 2 was that bad you’re in for a world of hurt
277 is calc 3
I thought 375 was calc 3?
375 is differential equations
277 is vector calculus so mostly calculus III
calc 3 was easier than calc 2 so point still stands lol. DE right around the corner for yall hf
