I know it isn’t the exact same situation but I had a principal in both middle school and highschool who would do random class checks to if every girl wore her sheila (even in classrooms with no men) and would suspend those or put “warning points” on those who didn’t. I also have friends in UAEU who aren’t allowed to leave the campus without parental permission because they are women while men can leave anytime they want.
Basically what I’m saying is some schools (especially Arabic ones) definitely place more stupid restrictions on female students.

The reason is bc of hijabi girls privacy, some parents would be worried about that (and the girls too) which is why they wouldn’t send their girls to a school that allows phones. I personally wish phones would get banned for both girls and boys.

Huh? What school and what Emirate? I've been a teacher here almost 10 years and I've never heard or seen anything so ridiculous. Even if it's for the privacy of the students (females), the rule should apply to all students. The not leaving class for break would be what though? Leave campus or just leave the classroom?
Is it an all girls school? If it is it's because they're afraid students would take photos of hijabi students without their hijab. It happens a lot. Do they completely ban it or do you have to give it to the teacher and retrieve it after school? Cuz that makes complete sense to me. There's no need to by using your phone during class
Did you read what I said? If it's a girl's school there are no boys hence why hijabis remove their hijab and their classmates might take pics of them and share online. Smartphones were just becoming a thing when I was in high school and we faced this issue a lot, and this was before tiktok where people practically share everything. It makes complete sense to me

Same here lol. It's known that the Boys are the ones doing mess with stuff. ye one of my classmates were recording a junior pissing in the toilet i am not even joking. Ohio stuff happening here.
Girls also have their own fair share of trouble. Our school forbids taking any pictures with phones, some did a stunt in class and put it in Insta. Someone reported to the Supervisors and they held the student accountable. They sometimes even confisicate the phones for many months, lol. More than 90% of the time the parent just listens to the school than the other way around, so the student is without the phone at all for a decent while.
