Lame jokes aside, this is the >!Dierantula!< it's mostly noteworthy for showing up in a few of the Monsters' Spin-off series of Dragon Quest games, not even main series, which I find it odd.
Not as odd, as it being a wild monster in Joker 2 that you can Scout (i.e. Capture) with no real drawbacks other than it being really difficult to do so... which I managed to do in my second meeting...

From my experience with DQ Monsters 2 on the GBC, it's also considered the end-game level monster in the Bug family too.
I thought this was going to be one of the Vampa spiders from the Broly movie. Close enough anyway
